Ive given this restaurant 5 chances. Each time Ive gone, the works are not very nice. I went in for a cup of coffee, twice. The 2nd time I went the restaurant was under new owner ship and I still found myself waiting a really long time for coffee. When my wife and I have gotten take out, its a good 5 mins before anyone even asks you if you want to look at a menu. We tried dining in and the server took forever to refill our drinks and giving us our check. AND today, I was hungry and didnt feel like cooking. So I walked in, waited 5 mins for someone to give me a menu, ordered my food for carryout, and waited a good 20 mins for my food. I ordered a LARGE coke and as I sat there waiting 20 mins for my food, they didnt even give me my drink first. After my food was ready... then they gave me my drink. I sat for 20 mins without a drink! Really? Everyone dining in was getting a drink... what about me? I was a server for 4 years and worked the Carryout, never in my life would I treat my worst enemy this way. As you wait for your food, youll get dirty looks from some of the staff. Poor customer service, but the food was tasty. If you are willing to put up with the staff treating you like crap then at least you can enjoy the tasty food.

This is a nice small place with pretty good food. The service is friendly and prices are reasonable. The service is a little slow, but I guess good food takes time. I moved to this small town for exactly that, small town feel and this is exactly the type of restaurant that I expected to find. The Dixie (as it is called here) is the place to go for brunch after church, or for a late breakfast. They have very good pancakes too!

Friendly small town diner. Nothing fancy. Says home cooked meals. Burgers are served with potato chips someone pulled from a bag. Fries & onion rings cost extra to the $6 frozen burger. Not great prices. Burger does taste good... Probably Bubba from costco or Sams club. Large desert menu. Tried two and both came from a box... not home made. Overall A little disappointed.

Had an egg salad on toast with fries and a drink. They added vanilla to the coke when I asked which gives it a true diner feel. The egg salad was very good and toast was perfect. Seemed very fresh. Fries were somewhat generic but expected from a lunch counter type of place. They were fried crispy but not over done. Very good experience.

If youre looking for a classic hometown eatery this is it. Reasonably priced burgers and decent specials. The white bean and ham soup is always a safe bet.
