Best omelet ever! The place is a little small, and the decor is typical waffle house. The patrons are typical country folk and seemingly right wingers. ( I got looks and eye rolls for my visible tattoos) But the food was outstanding ,and my waitress was very, very sweet and attentive. My omelet was perfectly cooked. Fluffy and rich. The little things stood out too. Like how the top quality preserves were in single serve metal tins. Very surprising touch. The coffee was fresh brewed too. Not your typical blend either. The overall experience was more than enjoyable watching the Market st traffic as well. Do not miss this Wilmington gem.

First of all the restaurant does not take credit cards who heard of a restaurant that does not take credit cards have an ATM machine in the bank and they charge you $3 for your own money each item on the menu its charged individually to jack up the price its not worth the money keep away they have three people in the line at a cooked with beards they dont have covers over their beards and their hairs are probably leaking into the food stay away the police is a rip-off I had two eggs sausage and cheese it was over $10 this place is a total rip-off the bathroom was dirty and smelly

Visiting family in Wilmington. Checked out of Holiday Inn and stop here for breakfast. It was a busy Sun., but only had a 10 minute wait. Small diner with very fewgood good people and friendly service. Jane explained menu and and how dishes are prepared. I had grilled biscuits, grits eggs and country ham. Hubby had 3 pancakes with Apple cinnamon topping, side order link sausage. This good was so good. Very reasonable prices for all we ate. They close by 2:00 so dont miss out.Emily also a server was very friendly and courteous. Will visit Goody Goody again.

In town for a wedding! Great find! Saw reviews and had to have an omelet! Service was on point and with a smile always! Coffee was brewed to perfection. Wife had Spanish Omelet. I had a Sausage and Cheese. Never had such a fluffy omelet, Place was packed. Not many seats but it was a great atmosphere. I felt like I was in Mayberry and any minute Sheriff Andy Taylor and Barney would walk in. When in Wilmington again, this will be a favorite stop!!! ENJOY!!!!!

Fantastic little breakfast house. A Wilmington institution! Our server was very friendly and prompt. The Mushroom and cheese omelet was fluffy and HUGE and the hash browns were nice and crisp, not soggy at all. The grilled biscuits were flaky and delicious. My husband had an egg and country ham biscuit, and we were very impressed by the tenderness of the ham, since it is often rubbery when overcooked. Well be back!

Old-school diner done right. Counter seats and small tables, with skilled cooks tossing fluffy omelets before your eyes. Authentic, unpretentious Southern fare available like country ham, red-eye gravy, liver pudding, and biscuits and gravy. Everything is good, but especially try the fluffy omelets, grilled biscuits, and diced potatoes. Sandwiches including eastern Carolina pork barbecue for lunch.

A Wilmington fixture. Goody Goody is like walking back in time to a traditional diner experience. The food isnt great or inventive. But its good and the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. Cash only and only breakfast and lunch. Expect a small queue on weekends, but it move briskly. This is a classic chow down and leave establishment. Experience a bit of Southern hospitality.

I go here at least once a month for Sunday brunch. Make sure you beat the church crowd though because theres not a lot of seating and even less waiting room. But they move people through quickly and Ive never had to stand waiting for more than 20 minutes. Make sure if you get biscuits that you get them grilled, youll thank me later! CASH ONLY

Absolutely AMAZING! I expected typical "Waffle House" food, but I was pleasantly surprised. High quality food, and clearly cooked by people that know and care about what they are serving. Our waitress was exceptional!! Super sweet and never stopped smiling! Best service and breakfast anyone could ask for. Highly recommend.

Unique local breakfast and lunch stop. Great grits good chicken salad. Inexpensive and terrific breakfast. Suggest you bring cash only but atm in the bathroom area. Instead of standing in line to pay I always lay down enough to cover the bill with tip and tell the cashier to give the change to the server.

Goody Goody is a classic dinner that has kept its vintage feel. I like sitting at the counter and watch the food be prepared. Theres a real art to how they make everything so good. Great for breakfast or lunch, and make sure you bring cash. They dont take checks or cards.

Does not accept cards. Normally this wouldnt be an issue for me, but it doesnt say it on their website or on their profile here. Found out after we arrived. At least they have it posted by the door so we didnt have have to go in and sit down before finding out.

This restaurant only has 6 booths sitting 4 and 10 seats at the counter. Very small venue, cramped. You have to be patient to wait first come first serve, no waiting list used.

Love their Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Omelets & the Pecan Waffles. Waffles almost dont need syrup, but dont think you are getting a light fluffy Belgian waffle. Delish!

Good place, only thing is is sometimes there are long wait lines. But the good thing is you have to pay with cash, but they have an ATM if you forget cash and have a card!

This place was fantastic. What a diamond in the rough. The waitress asked if I wanted my biscites toasted... before I could even answer she replied "You do". Awesome!
