They say mistakes are made everyday. Todays mistake was choosing the Wai Wai for lunch. I was initially excited to see a plethora of options awaiting me at the buffet, although unfortunately none of these options was even remotely edible. The general tsos chicken? Cold. The honey chicken? Cold. The white rice? Cold. The lo mein? Cold and strangely chewy. Im not sure how I could have walked in just 10 minutes after they opened to find an entire buffet full of cold, hard, dehydrated food. My best guess is they made all of this so-called food yesterday and the 2-watt heat lamps hadnt had time to warm up the leftovers yet. Although it probably wasnt very good when it was fresh either - and I wouldnt be surprised if some of the chicken was discarded chicken nuggets dug out from the McDonalds dumpster next door and slathered with some sort of coagulated sauce scraped out from the bottom of a barrel full of radioactive waste. And dont get me started on the desserts. If you like corrugated cardboard covered in what appears to be (and probably tastes like) bull reproductive juice, then youll love their pastry selection! The only decent thing I could manage to put in my mouth without gagging was the fortune cookie, and thats probably because it was made and packaged off-site. Although, even my fortune had a typo in it, which means even the fortune cookies were probably from a discarded box of rejects. I write this review three hours after eating there, and Im starting to feel quite sick and asking myself "why?! why?!" did I eat at the Wai Wai. Avoid this place like youd avoid jabbing yourself with a diseased rusty nail.

Listen to me! I have been going to this restaurant since 2005! They opened in like 2002 and have stayed open since. I dont know why some people believe they are Gordon Ramsay, when they are flat out wrong!!!! Wai Wai has good quality food for such a low price! That is why their restaurant has been open for approximately 14 years. I always get their lo mein noodles, fried and white rice, salad, WON TON SOUP, chicken and beef & grilled vegetables. They also have interesting deserts! Their buffet is truly amazing and their food is always hot and quality made! I have just been telling everybody who isnt familiar with it, because Wai Wai is such an amazing restaurant. Any time I am in the mood for Chinese I go there, just like I have been for 10 years! Do not ever listen to the bad reviews because they are flat out wrong. Wai Wai is the best Chinese restaurant ever! The interior design is very nice and almost fancy. I have been on many dates there. I love it so much. I talk to the manager all the time and she is a very nice lady. Please do not be fooled by these false reviews. The restaurant is fantastic, the interior design is extremely nice, the place almost looks a bit formal, the food tastes amazing, I hope their business thrives! If you want amazing Chinese food, in a really really REALLY nice setting for such a low cost, Wai Wai is the best there is!

AWFUL! This is the worst Chinese food I have ever ate. Everything as COLD, HARD, CHEWY, & TASTELESS. A lot of the meat you could not even cut. I had to ask for a knife and they looked at me like what do you need that for? Save your money, at $10/dinner it is no bargain. After I left there I started to feel sick to my stomach. Just AWFUL! I thank goodness, didnt try the sushi, it looked dried up and aged, I was afraid to even go there. Didnt try the desserts, nothing looked appetizing. And to top it off, all the food trays had very little food in them. Then you have this guy, standing in the buffet line watching what everyone is taking and he keeps turning and turning the little bit of food over, I guess to make it colder. Very uncomfortable feeling. If its a buffet, let people graze without being hovered over. I could not wait to get out of there......It was disgusting.

I walked into this restaurant at 11:15, just before the lunch hour. The place had just opened and when I walked up to the buffet ...it was filled with what was clearly food from the night before. The chicken was discolored and the fried food was so saturated with grease from being re-heated, I dont know how they expected to fool anyone. Admittedly, I had eaten at this place quite a few times and always thought of it as a decent value...but when I told the manager about the food being left over from the night before she looked at me like a child looks at a parent when they know theyve been caught doing something....all she could say was...she was sorry. I WILL NOT BE BACK!!!

All reviews from one year ago and back are from the previous owners, a new family has taken over and are doing a far more excellent job than the last. Ive been here with both owners, and my most recent experience was much better than the last, the inside looks stunning compared to my last time here. Although the selection is moderate, the General Tso is to die for, honestly. Its a Chinese-American buffet, with very attentive staff who are extremely nice. Overall, a good place to eat dinner, will come here again!

My rating is pushing it but its the lowest itll allow. They water down the sauces on all the dishes and never replace the food. Also found bugs in sauce as well as soups and such. Never put out sushi which is the only thing that changes between lunch and dinner for you to get charged like $3 more. Place has gone wayyy down hill compared to when it first opened. We used to go weekly.

My opinion is that the new owners have really denigrated the food here. On two occasions came in around 10 minutes after opening. Several of the buffet items were cold and chewy, which suggests to me they were just warmed up leftovers. The vegetable dishes especially were cold and tasteless. Several of their better items were no longer available.

Was hesitant to try after reading some of these reviews but drove by to see how busy they were at 6pm; busy so I stopped. Their buffet was hot and tasty with a good selection, almost like my favorite buffet back home. Photo of a portion of the actual buffet during my visit. Excellent for $9.75 for dinner and 6.95 for lunch.

From their opening until about 2009 I ate here almost every day for lunch. I gained 20 pounds and had to stop before I died. At first I thought they put something in their food to make me an addict... but then I realized that im fat and need to go with the flow. Its a nice place to stop for a quick and cheap lunch

DONT EAT THERE!! I should have read the reviews before I went. The food was cold and old. I went in 15 min after they opened, the buffet looked very bare. Im not sure what was in the bottle that says soy sauce but it definitely was not soy sauce. If you like your meal cold, old and chewy this is the place for you.
