Horrible service! They made us feel so uncomfortable and kept giving us mean stares. They made us feel rushed, every 5 minutes asking if we were done when clearly we had full plates in front of us. At the end after paying my bill I left a tip which was me being generous. After leaving my tip the waiter came and searched for my recipe under the bill with the tip amount on it. Right in front of me and my families face she checked The amount and asked me to tip higher. I couldnt believe how rude of her that was after all this is a buffet and we did all the work getting our food. She insisted we have to tip higher she embarrassed us and we felt pressured to give a higher tip only because we didnt want to cause a scene. Everyone that works there just looks like they hate everything its a horrible place I will never return!!!

This is great place which I have enjoyed for many years with my wife, for dinner or lunch.Everything is fresh, extensive variety of sushi rolls which are all cut up and you serve yourself until you explode, if you like. There is ice cream, and fruits for dessert. Variety of beer, wine, tea or water. To to top it off there is separate bar for chinese foods which is also excellent, but we go for the sushi. In addition they have a griddle with a dedicated cook. Service is prompt, courteous and efficient, mostly chinese ladies which are very pleasant. Once you are done with with your plate, just leave it on the table and go for seconds picking up a fresh plate at the food bars. Enjoy!

Ive been to this place many times, and reading some of the reviews I felt compelled to write a review. Even though it might not have the largest selection compared to other buffets, I feel that what they do have is worth the money. Just having the opportunity to choose a piece of a roll here and there and try different varieties without having to eat a whole roll at $7-$12 per roll is worth it; and how about selecting from shrimp, chicken, and beef (or all) for your teppanyaki? Im sorry some people have had bad experiences, but I had to balance out the reviews. Weve never gotten sick, and weve always found something delicious that made it worth our time and our money.

Buffet food tastes pretty decent, though the sushi is mediocre. Ive never been to a restaurant where the ice cream was actually spoiled, however (it literally tasted like sour milk). When I reported this to the server, she replied, "I know. A lot of customers say that." Of course, at that point, I wondered why the ice cream was still at the buffet in its usual place. Otherwise, the restaurant is peppered with good foods here and not-so-good foods there. For the $22 price, Id prefer a restaurant where EVERYTHING is delicious. Id recommend Kyojin in South Miami instead. And yes...I did have some unusual stomach activity the next day after eating here.

I have nothing but good things to say about this fine establishment. Their service is far better than any other buffet/restaurant Ive ever been to. The restaurant is clean and they have a wide range of food available. Besides their wide range of sushi and rolls, they have a hibachi grill on which they cook steak, chicken, and/or shrimp. Its as easy as asking the chef to make it for you! They also have a a dessert table, I highly recommend the chocolate pudding! Other than that, this is one of those places that I frequent very often and the deserve an overall A+ for the way they run it.

Im such a sushi fan and they delivered with their variety of sushi but where they made up for selection of sushi they lacked on selection of food. My boys were sorely disappointed. So was I. Simple selection of food for people who dont eat sushi. On top of that i put the bill on my credit card with the intention of giving her tip cash. Had the gull to come at me saying "our tip is not included with price" Really? Bc i didnt know that already.... Will not be driving 30min outta my way to that place anymore. Would just rather ordee takeout next time

Went for lunch today and absolutely loved it! I dont like seafood but from what I saw they have a wide variety of sushi, as for everything else the food quality was great. Very clean and nice place. The staff was friendly and attentive without overdoing it. Upon coming back to my table after getting another plate I noticed my water had been refilled and our waitress hung around to make sure we were ok without looming over us and asking us if we need anything every 5 minutes like they do at some restaurants. Definitely coming back!

Have been going to Shinju for 20 years since it was Taipei Gourmet its still owned by the same people and quality of the food is excellent. Now it is presented as a Japanese Buffet but still has a lot of good Chinese hot dishes and a decent dessert bar. In addition to a wide variety of sushi rolls during lunch and sashimi at dinner time, there is a Mongolian BBQ so you can pick what ingredients you want me to cook it for you to order. Remember to choose what size you want and whether or not you want garlic added or not.

I absolutely love this place. For the price you pay, you get excellent food, and plenty of it! The fried rice sucks tastes like nothing, but you dont go to a Japanese restaurant for Chinese food. The sushi is fresh, delicious and at a great variety. The hibachi is delicious as well. For $12 or so (at lunch), youre literally not going to find a better deal on good sushi. Youd probably pay around that much for just 1 roll anywhere else, but here you can have as much as you like. 5 stars from me for quality and price.

Very good good sushi and maki! Hay una super variedad de makis que hacen en el momento, como va tanta gente los makis están muy frescos. Buen precio, sólo los platos calientes no son tan buenos, pero si vas a por sushi y makis, es un buen lugar!

I loved this place! My schoolmates and I had lunch there and we all felt the same. The food tastes great and I love that they have quite a few varieties of Sushi and the Hibachi grill. The food variety is not the greatest, but honestly, it didnt bother me a bit. It was well-priced considering its All-You-Can-Eat and the staff is very nice though their English is not the best. Definitely recommend unless you have 5-Star expectations from a 11.95 Lunch Buffet like others seem to.

My family and I have been eating at Shin Ju for years. Mama Linda cracks me up, she buzzes around like a bee, greeting everyone. I love the sushi and the crab salad. I can make a meal of them, so a smaller buffet doesnt bother me. But every thing I have ever eaten there is good. Service has always been good. Sometimes people forget, what you put out, you get back. If you are rude to your waitress, she may not be all grins and smiles. I would eat there more often if I could.

I followed the suggestions on this homepage while spending vacation in Miami. I am impressed about this place. When entering the restaurant the owner gives you a very warm and pleasant welcome. Sushi, Sashimi, and tons of other meals fresh cooked, everything delicious... It was just wow. I can definetively recommend this place. The food is very fresh - its amazing for this price. I have a few days left here in Miami - and will definetively go there again before leaving.
