The experience was short because we ended up walking out. My family of 4 walked in at about 11:30 pm after a long day at Sesame place. When we walked in, noone greeted us, however, there was a lady( perhaps one of the managers) and a waiter sitting in a booth SMOKING. We should have walked out then. As soon as they saw us, they got up, waiter got the menus and sat us down. We got our 4 cups of water & I told the waiter I wanted to order my toddlers food first, he said no problem. We ordered salad and it literally took 20 minutes for the salad to come out (there were only 3 other tables where people were seated so it wasnt busy)! We started eating our salad & some other waitress came out of nowhere and said "give me your salads, Ill bring you another one". I said "um ok, why"? She stated, the salads went to another table where someone touched it". Really weird, threw us off completely. After almost 30 minutes my toddlers french fries and disgusting looking chicken fingers came out. They were burnt on the outside and looked still raw on the inside. We got up, spoke to the lady that looked like she was the manager and ended up telling her that things started off bad and weird and my childs food looked horrible. She was about to charge us for the salad that we took one bite from before it got taken away! I made my point, didnt pay and left. We went to McDonalds close by and the food was better there than here. We are not picky people but we like a restaurant to at least be clean, friendly, and have decent food.

Used to be good. This comment pertains to the EVENING. (Lunch seems okay.) Waitstaff now control quality. latest example: food prepared well but served cold. Earlier, the waitstaff said that the cooks said it would take a while, but ALL the food was lukewarm, including fries and vegetables. So, the food had been ready for a while. I should have said something to Steve (owner), and would have if my companion had said that that food was cold too. Prior experiences in the evening are similar: One time baked flounder was raw on the underside. Top side was okay, so it was meant (reasonable assumption) to deceive. The last few orders of chicken (fried or baked) have been overdone. I think the waitstaff influences the cooks to tamper with the food. The cooks should prepare the food to ONE standard.

I dont know if I can decide which was worse, the food or the service. After being seated at 5:40 we were brought water promptly by the hostess, this was the only part of our experience that went well. We sat and waited for our waitress but she was nowhere to be found. When she finally came over it appeared she was impaired as she was slurring her words. She told my husband on 6 different occasions that she was going to get him the seltzer he ordered when she first came to the table. The seltzer was the very last thing to arrive at our table. This is after the soup came out barely warm and tasting like metal, the salads were completely forgotten and the food, a chicken parm and hot open turkey, was absolute dog food. Needless to say we will never be back.

Got an elderly woman as our server for the third time and all she did was complain the entire time about things. Took forever to get our food correctly and then she disappeared constantly waited for over 15 minutes to get our check. When told the front of the house about our experience I was told theres nothing they could do about it. Seriously considering not returning due to this constant issue with the servers and not trying to fix the situation.

This is hands-down my favorite diner in the area. The menu has a great selection of food at very reasonable prices. 2 of my favorite dishes here is their porkroll sandwich and the fried clams. The wait staff is very sweet and personable and it has always been a great experience going here. Whenever I am in the mood for some comfort food, this is my place

Our server Julie wasnt the best, she was rude. Also my Mac and cheese came out very cold so i asked her politely can she microwave it for a bit and when it came back she said verbatim "Its very very hot". But it was still Cold! I used to be a server at 2 different places so I try to be understanding but that service was very bad.

DO NOT EAT HERE!! NOROVIRUS runs rampant here. Wait staff is horrible. I got SICK more than once here. Wait staff influences the cooks to serve bad food if they dont like their customers. STAY AWAY!!! A much better restaurant called "Garden of Eatin" is just down the road and a million times better!!!

Staff is nice and friendly and the food is really good (depending what cook is working that day because the food can come out bland tasting). If you order out, ask for silverware and condiments...they forget to give that, sometimes.

Wonderful food, wonderful experience. Very kind staff. they even cut my very large autistic sons peanut butter and jelly sandwich (hard to get him to eat anything else) into the shape of his fidget spinner! Hail Golden Dawn!!

Food was delicious and prices were reasonable. Had a reuben panini and it was great!!! Their onion soup is very delicious. Service was ok, could have been better. We were disabled and got a lot of looks.

Service was excellent. They did not have what I wanted on the menu (flounder franchise over angle hair spaghetti) but they were able to make it for me. It was very good. They should put it on the menu.

Went there for breakfast Wednesday 6/15/16. We ordered eggs, hash browns well done and wheat toast. Everything was over cooked. Toast burned, eggs and hash browns were hard. Will never go there again.

Thursday night 7/22/17. Ordered the crab stuffed Portobello appetizer and fries w/ gravy. A Heiny and a coke. The food was disgusting. It was un-edible. Cold food with poor presentation.

Cheap breakfast, lunch and dinner are what you woud expect from a dinner. Out dated on the inside rest rooms are in ok shape. Service is quick. One of the most popular eateries around.

I like this place normally but the Air Conditioner on the roof rumbles. It shakes the booth is extremely irritating. They need to get that fixed immediately .

Golden Dawn is a decent regular diner. They also serve liquor and their shots are generous and affordable. Their quesadillas are decent.
