Ive never been thrown out of a restaurant in my life. ZOUBI tossed our *sses to the curb. if thats how the new manager handled us, she probably calls the national guard for a belligerent drunk. wow - we just got thrown out of Zoubis, because we complained about the service and the food was inedible. We had a party of three. We ordered two wines, two vodka tonics and they were delivered timely. We ordered grill octopus, bass and two lobster linguines. it took over an hour. the server was competent, sweet & apologetic and explained that the kitchen was backed up. the octopus was inedible like rubber. two bites and no one inquired why the plate wasnt touched. I commented that I didnt realize we were there for the midnight serving to Elizabeth the new manager - her response was "everything is made to order" - then i ask myself in my head- do I look stupid? - . next came the main course, mind you after 2 bread baskets because were starving from waiting so long. the two lobster dishes were horrible, tasted like synthetic seafood, and was supposed to have a cream sauce with herbs, tasted like egg noodles in three day old fish broth. I complained to Elizabeth nicely since this was my second encounter with her and although she didnt remember us, we remembered her from a few weeks ago. my date said something to the tune of "thats f ing ridiculous" to her response that "she has been serving the dish all day with no complaints." who in food service uses that kind of response? then she defensively said Ill pay for your dinner and I said you dont have to pay for a dinner that we didnt eat, its not like you are doing me a favor. Elizabeth told us get out of her restaurant that she wont be cursed at and pointed to the door. we left a $100 on the table and left without a fuss. this is the second bad experience. several weeks ago, under the new chef and management - we came for sunday brunch and it was meh. the stomach cramps that followed should have told me not to try it a second time. wont go back.

Very disappointing. My wife and I have chosen Zoubi for our anniversary dinners because of the quaint outdoor environment and small plate dinners. After taking a year off for a trip to Napa, we went back on Friday night. I called and left a message for a reservation but never got a call back. I booked on Opentable and hoped for the best. We were seated quickly and our wines came fairly quickly as well. We both actually enjoyed the Malbec, but that is pretty much where the quality ended. First I was disappointed that it was much less the tapas style and instead appetizer/entree. I ordered the razor clams and she ordered the brussels sprouts.. both were terrible. The clams were rubbery and very gritty and the garlic cloves in the sauce were raw! I love roasted garlic too, so this was a particular disappointment. Also, the brussels sprouts were under-cooked. You know how when you roast them in the oven, they get brown and soft and sweet? Well these were charred and hard. The entrees continued.. I got the hanger steak and she got the seabass. The steak was the best of the four things we ordered, but still barely average. The seabass was totally dried out. We figured at least dessert would be good, but even that was a joke. We got the chocolate mousse cake and it was clearly bakery box from somewhere else and not made fresh in the kitchen. What a shame that the quality has totally disappeared. With so many other great places to choose from in New Hope (and Doylestown) we will definitely not be back. Total check for food and three wines with 18% tip = $156. ouch.

We did not even make it into the door! We were a party of three, well dressed and in our late twenties. We walked through the alleyway that is not well marked as to where to go to enter the restaurant in the wintertime. The eldest of the owners (with the french accent) came into the same alleyway from a door to the left and asked us what we were looking for. When I said we were interested in a menu, he told us to go next door because his restaurant was "expensive for dinner." We all looked at each other then back at him, aghast, and he laughed at us! Obviously, during a recession, any money is not good enough for this elitist restaurant. They would prefer that we riffraff stay out of his already empty restaurant. Also? Upon doing research after returning home...they also own the bar next door! Thankfully, we did not take his advice, and will never return to either establishment, and advise our friends (who frequent New Hope) to do the same. Bad move, old man.

We had dinner here in the past and portions were better and entree prices were under $30. We went again last Saturday, the atmosphere is great but this time I left with a different impression. The food is over priced now. Portions are very small and not worth $35 for a entree the size of my thumb. I had a piece of fish about 2 inches long and a inch wide. Even though I also had a salad which was also very small I left feeling hungry. The desert was not edible. Our bill for 4 people was $260 without any drinks. The evening ended on a sour note when I had a $35 ticket on my car even though I paid for my parking space and clearly had my parking paid receipt on my dash; now I have to waste time fighting this. The restaurants in Lambertville NJ are much better in my opinion than the restaurants in New Hope and you do not have to worry about tickets.

Hidden Gem! First time here, and we are glad we did. Warm and friendly, and although the menu is limited, the dishes are amazing and although it may seem like a standard dish, it is certainly not your run of the mill entree!! The crab cakes were light and moist and full of flavor, the trout was fabulous and perfectly cooked. I do not understand the older negative reviews, must have been tourists expecting TGI Friday fare. Great romantic spot to get away from the over-hyped places on the main drag in Nee Hope.

Went there on 9/20/14 for a romantic dinner. The portions were huge and really tasty. Much more food than I expected from these lying posts. The service was attentive and very friendly. Will definitely go back. The escargot was fabulous. This is French style cusine without the heavy sauces.
