Ive got to say I was disappointed in my experience here. The weekly menu seemed like a cool concept, but it can make for dinners like mine. First off, the prices are way too high for the food being produced. I understand food and labor costs can be high, but $20 is too much for an entree for the environment in which you eat. The setting is like an artists basement with artwork all over the walls. A nice touch, but the place needs to be cleaned as cracked windows and cobwebs were visible. The bruschetta was actually fantastic, but with only 5 pieces it was not worth the $9. Im not usually a snob when it comes to prices, but they just didnt seem justified. My pork dish was good, nothing mind blowing, but high quality for sure. It was accompanied by a lobster salad which was pretty mediocre though. My dish came out first, and my friends didnt come out until 40 minutes later. I forgot to mention the restaurant wasnt busy at all with a few people at the bar and us occupying a table. My friends pork dish, one with grits and a salad, was absolutely awful. Not worth the wait, as the poppyseed and grits combination made a taste that I would equate to dried cat food. If youve ever smelled cat food, you know what Im talking about. The chef and waiter came out and apologized for the wait time and asked to compensate with half off the entree and free dessert. Dessert was a ghiradelli chocolate cheesecake, which was good, but I wouldnt have ordered it unless it was free, as it was nothing special. The bill came out to about $40, but it would have been $65 without the compensation. $65 for a really good appetizer, a fine entree, a disgusting entree, and a decent dessert. Have you ever paid that much money for two people and not have even ordered wine? With wine, the meal easily would have come to over $80, which is ridiculous for the quality of food being served here. While the appetizer was fantastic, the rest of the meal failed to impress, and one even managed to disgust. If the place was cleaned, the chef was able to put out food faster, and the prices were lowered, I could see coming back here as there is a lot of potential. Not even a drastic price drop, something like $9 to $7 bruschetta would make a huge difference or even an $18 entree to a 15 or 16 dollar one. As of now though, 1810 is an overpriced place in need of a few management upgrades.

(Service) When I walked in I was not greeted by a host. I saw the staff outside smoking instead of working. The server I had, I believe her name was ally, although cute, she tried to make too many jokes. When I got a house salad, I saw a short muscular boy prepare it without any gloves. Unsanitary and revolting. The use of cell phones from the staff took away from my individual service and distracted my waitress from me. (Overall 1-10, 3.5) (Food) The food (excluding the salad) was very good. I had an elk burger rare, cooked to perfection. The appearance was almost as magnificent as the taste. (Overall 1-10, 7.25) (Decor) The overall appearance was old and bland.. It makes you feel like the building is about to collapse. The floor is beat up and splintered, the brick is broken, and there is a giant hole in the wall by the bar. If the establishment was from 1810 it wouldnt surprise me because the building looks like its falling apart. If the food wasnt delicious then I would rate the overall experience a 3, however it was delicious, so I will give my overall experience 4.5, unfortunately I would not recommend the 1810 Tavern to other people.

Our experience was terrible. You are noted for crab cakes, they did not have, no catch of the day and your fish sandwich is market price. What the heck type of fish are you using LOBSTER? Our pasta dish was very skimpy, pasta with white wine sauce and chicken sausage. Did not get any rolls or salad with our meals. The Chef is from Bravos and they even at least give you a small salad and rolls with a pasta meal. Your web site says you do seafood, noted for crab cakes and you show picture of a pan seared salmon which you also did not have. You state that even though the menu changes on Wednesdays some things stay the same. The music was way too loud for that small backyard. Another couple also went inside. Band should at least be up on the upper level. For first time, it will be probably our last time. Other friends of ours said it use to be good and last couple times they were down it was also bad. You cant advertise items and then you dont have them. Its ashamed because the area could use a more decent restaurant.

This is one of the hidden jewels of Beaver County. The food is way beyond what youd expect in a this small town. The atmosphere is very quaint and you can sense the history of the building. They have a great bar selection and the wait staff is attentive and quick. The owners are almost always on the premises and working alongside of the staff. The chefs deserve 5-stars. Their weekly menu creations are some of the most tantalizing dishes you can imagine. This is one classy place to dine, party and enjoy. Some items are bit pricey but the portion sizes are good.

Its great to have this new restaurant locally. We had our best experience with the small plates, the Lobster Corndogs being the best and most unique of our 5 bought. They also have a nice selection of beers including Beaver Brewing, Dogfish, 2 others, and even Miller for "mainstream"drinkers. If I had any criticism it would be to expand their wine selection past their "house"choices in each category and our cheesecake was mediocre

The atmosphere was dismal for a Saturday night- no music and barely a crowd. The server had little personality. The shrimp tacos were shrimp and flour tortillas with premade guac and salsa, and iceberg lettuce. The ahi tina was thick slices over, again, iceberg. The lobster mac n cheese was salty and the mussels were fishy without much flavor. Otherwise, the decor was quaint and the drinks were cold.

Very high priced food, mostly seafood, I dont eat that so my choices were limited and for lunch Im not paying $14-18 for a meal. I ended up getting a Caesar salad and it was ok. The decor is terrible, yes its an old building, but make it look nice, do some updates, take pride in your business. I could definitely see this place on Robert Irvines Restaurant Impossible!

Like the mango slaw and soup and desserts. Like the historic building and would like to know more history. Like the service and friendliness there. The borough should cooperate with helping find more parking.

My wife loves this place. The food is good, but a little expensive for me. The decor is very eclectic. The tavern side doors have bands that play every so often. Smokers can eat outside on the patio.
