We feel the food has gone down hill in quality since we began eating here in 2012. We arent drinkers but the food was a yummy draw, it was our date night place to go. The happy hour Scotch eggs were a brag about dish, unfortunately the food was progressively worse and I have heard the scotch eggs are no longer a happy hour priced item. Our last visit we ordered a salad and soup, my salad was served warm (as if placed under a heat lamp) when it was a cold type salad, my husbands soup was served cold/room temp (as if pulled off a shelf and poured into a bowl), not even the bowl was warm. They offered to replace our food, but really after that long of a wait we were done. Major disappointment, we no longer eat here. The atmosphere we werent fond of (see description below) but the food was good enough to compensate, sadly no longer the case. ▪ As far as atmosphere goes it has loud conversations & loud music. Dim lighting. A large bar with what I assume is a large selection of drinks with several screens placed around to see games and videos. The wait staff is young & female, dress code is black short skirts (it feels as if its meant to be an upscale hooters).

Been going here nearly since it opened. Consistency in the food is great. Seasonal menus & gluten free options. Awesome oven fired pizza! Large beer options and tons of TVs. I do hate the fact the women HAVE to wear really short, tightly fitted skirts. For management to restrict certain genres of music to control the"type" of customer, clearly they like to make a misogynistic statement. They would not lose business if women could wear what they want. They need to look at revising the sophistication of the "dress code". Im a repeat customer because of the quality of food and service. They remember me when I come in. Make me feel welcome and keep the standards really high! This is a great place to bring colleagues, families, dates or fly solo! Ive met a ton of great, nice friendly people here. No drama ever! Its just absolutely great place to chill and enjoy great food and drinks! Highly recommend that you give good place a go if havent already! (Completely different than the one from downtown)

I cant support a restaurant, REGARDLESS of how pleasant its service staff is or how good the food is, that forces its hostesses to wear high heels (plus berates them when they fail to) and STAND/buss tables FOR HOURS. Management also requires females to wear excessive makeup. Hostesses outfits and makeup are judged by managements personal opinions/standards. (Some women can wear pants but others cant, and the managers decide who looks good enough to???). Treat your staff properly and quit the culture of exploiting women. Oh, and please dont try to respond with some nonsense about how you follow the legal corporate policies our company has set up. Ive worked extensively in the restaurant industry and have firsthand been the victim of management that completely ignores regulations and laws...youre not fooling anyone; this is Portland. Such a shame; I quite enjoyed going to this restaurant. Perhaps Ill give Concept Entertainment a ring... maybe the downtown Thirsty Lion location knows how to respect women.

I ordered a rueban sandwich to go and it was the worst sandwich I have ever gotten in a restaurant. The meat was so thick and dry as to be inedible, the bread was so tough and chewy it was awful. The sandwich had 1 thin slice of swiss that basically became part of the top layer of bread and it had all of about 1 1/2 tablespoons of saurkraut. I had never eaten here before and so I ordered something I thought would be hard to screw up. Well they outdid themselves and it was over $14.00 to boot. I worked in the high end restaurant business my whole life and I know good food and this was not it! If you want to go to a pub switch the English for the Irish and get good food at JB OBriens pub in King City. It has the feel of a well loved place, not fancy at all, but Ive never had to even send an order back to the kitchen. Good food!!

Today, an employee, Ashely? Aleigha? Something with an A, hit a vehicle in the street. I was a witness. And when providing my name an information for this vehicle, the person who hit the vehicle, came out from this business establishment and took my note off the victims vehicle and scolded for being a Good Samaritan and providing my name and information to this person. I then contacted the establishment to speak to a supervisor in regards to how this employee treated the public, and the manager, named Melissa, hung up on me due to being "too busy" to deal with their employees attitude. I have frequented this place in the past, and will no longer be taking my services and money here due to the disrespected I have encountered from the type of people this establishment employs.

We went on a Thursday around 6 pm. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, which seemed very reasonable. They were packed. The decor is cool - dark wood, big open bar area. The hostesses are adorable and friendly. The service was attentive and efficient even though every table was full. The food was fantastic - much better quality than I expected. Great flavors and great choices. We had the steak and the salmon. My salmon was the most flavorful Ive ever had. My husband commented that the steak was the only one hed had that he didnt feel needed any steak sauce or other addition. They take pride in their food and it shows. The staff is professional and upbeat. Well definitely go again.

Food is pretty good, atmosphere is a bit loud... Waitresss skirts are ridiculously short. Apparently this is a requirement for the job, which I personally find offensive, as they are there to wait tables and Id prefer not to see that much of their thighs. Paying someone minimum wage does not, in my opinion, give you the right to require that they display their goodies (as if you had some sort of ownership right over their goodies). If youre going to do that, I think you need to pay a stripper-level salary and you should cater to men, not families. So Ive decided to boycott this restaurant until the waitresses can wear pants or miniskirts become a requirement for the male waiters.

Came here during happy hour and enjoyed the diverse menu. They had a lot good choices for happy hour like fried calamari and sliders. Of course, whats happy hour without a good beer? Tap menu was good too. Atmosphere is pretty nice. Its a very spacious place and the light wood furnishings gives it a nice cozy feel without being too dark like most bars can get to cover up the dirt all over the place. The servers were great too. Very helpful on beer selections and welcomed a brief conversation or 2. I live closer to the new Tanasbourne location so Im expecting the same great things there.

Our first time in Sunday night because the Cheesecake Factory had 1 1/2 hour wait (we live in boring Medford and are on vacation) and I mentioned the thirsty lion each time we drove by saying how great it could be. We only waited for 5 minutes and they apologized that we waited at all. (Maybe cuz we were a party of 8 with 4 children) our server with the short curly hair was amazing and the food was delicious. My man seems to have a bad experience everywhere we go but loved the tartar sauce and the IPA battered fish and chips. I had the French dip. Going back for lunch today.
