I love m dive bars. I love them very much. That being said I went to the Lodge having no idea what I was walking into. Having been there a couple times. I have good thoughts about them. The patio outside looks like a blast and they have the game of cornhole out there. Play, eat, drink, smoke and stay comfy. I have some of the specialty drinks and they are not only strong but have a great taste. For food I had the Nachos and they are a treat with the pulled pork. I felt they really know there business. I enjoyed the tunes on the jukebox which is a cross between 80s alternative and classic rock are pretty good. The staff has been more than amazing on each visit and even remembered us from previous business

I love the Lodge. I wish it was close enough to walk. Its a neighborhood joint where the food is better and the drinks are cheaper and stronger than they have any right to be. Add in pinball and a year round covered patio for smoking, and this is pretty much the perfect establishment. I love that a crowd from whatever it was before the Lodge is still showing up and mixing with the new locals. Im almost hesitant to event write this because I dont want people to realize how awesome it is. Except that they deserve it.

The previous owners called this dive Gators. Odd, since Alligators typically move slow, and they sold meth after 1am. Luckily they are gone and the new owners are really trying to turn things around. I like this place. Its a neighborhood dive. If you want to complain about the gentrification of Portland support your Mom & Pops and run into someones GrandPop getting drunk at 3pm here. Lots of good stories to hear.

One of the better FoPo joints. Great staff, great food, stiff drinks. Prices are pretty much standard for the area. It can get a bit packed at night, which can be annoying, but the non-payment crowd of locals is a bunch of good people.

A secret gem of PDX. I am super, super picky about what I eat and drink because I can only accomodate small portions. And have never had a single undelicious thing here, and always stuff myself! Plus the service is fantastic!
