We went a little after 12:00pm and the place was pretty packed. Apparently it was due to the holiday traffic. I had Bills Corned Beef Hash and my wife had the Sourdough French Toast with a side of bacon and scrambled eggs. The Corned Beef Hash had 3 poached eggs on top, a choice of toast (I got English muffin) and a side of apple sauce. The corned beef hash was tasty and crispy as advertised. The Sourdough French Toast was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was very good. The bacon was also very good. The highlight of the meal? Bill of course. Behind the counter as he prepares meals he belts out verses from the songs being played through the speakers. It was an interesting experience. An older woman sitting beside me on the counter was really digging his singing.

We went in to eat breakfast and wanted to order egg benedicts. The waitor started explaining that it comes with only one side and if we want additional sides we have to pay extra, when an older man - possibly the owner - told him to leave us since he has to deliver orders. I was surprised asking why cant he answer our question first and he replied rudly that he will when he is done delivering other orders. The whole situation was so absurd and the guy was so rude that we stood up and left. Nickeling, diming the food then treating us rudely is not the way to go...

The coffee is unlimited, the servers are friendly without being obsequious, the owner frequently bursts into song when a particularly lovely line comes up on the old timey jukebox playing old timey tunes... Only the prices are from this day and age. Typical diner food, but the eggs benedict are the best. Perfect creamy emulsion of hollandaise sauce, beautifully quivering poached eggs, and you can get avocados and healthy stuff with this! Yay!
