The Wichita Pub at King Road represents a welcome return to the friendly neighborhood tavern where friends gather, where one goes for a cold one and conversation on the way home from work, with a real feel of everybody knows your name. It gets a little loud from time to time, but its a friendly sound - people having a good time. The food is always plentiful and appropriately served, usually with a wisecrack if youve inspired such, and usually pretty quickly unless the place is packed (and after 6 p.m., it always is). The best improvement in The Wichita is the non-smoking law - prior to its passage, breathing was impossible except for the smoker. Now its open for everyone to enjoy and it hasnt hurt business at all. Check it out, you wont regret it.

What happened to this place??? Weve been coming for a long time, used to be grubbin....(even though the service is always slow-mo) but last two visits have been a rude awakening! They mustve changed ownership, managers, and/or cooks. OR theyve just decided to cut corners and start sucking. Cold and soggy onion rings, embarrassingly tiny dinner salad, a so-called "Big Nasty" sandwich that used to be awesome but now is more like a SLIDER; and rock hard cod fish and chips that make Gortons fish sticks seem gourmet (halibut is no longer available???), Dine here at your own risk!

Absolutley revolting conditions, litteraly thousands of ciggarette butts out front, broken crack pipes and used syringes, i cannot believe anyone eats at this establishment. If the hallmark of quality starts at the door, then i would be scared of a bowel infection. The soak regulars trash the hell out of the property with thier garbage. Next time you go there, just look down.

This place is pretty cool. The service isnt the greatest but sometimes its better than most. The food is ok pretty average the bathrooms are semi-clean the drinks are decent. Ive come here on occasion maybe once every two weeks. The crowd is mainly an older construction crew. Not a place you would want to go on a date or take your mother

I really like the chicken fried steak breakfast. My husband loves the burgers. The morning staff - Stacey and Shelly have worked here for years. They always remember you and treat you like family. Only reason we give it 4 stars instead of 5 - is because my husband thinks theyre skimpy on the fries when you order take out.

The pub has multiple pool tables and video games. While not cozy there are some booths and tables. The pub does not have a pay phone or desinated outside smoking area. The smokers go outside and there is a sign that says they must remain 10 feet from the door. Even this does not prevent smoke from drifting in the door.

I have ate a few times at the Wichita by my house in oregon city and have had a good experience there. I tried this one and was very disappointed, we waited for 20 mins to have our order taken. 20 min for our food and 20 mins to get our ticket. The food wasnt as good as oregon city, the service wasnt good as well.

My wallet was stolen while at this bar last Friday night and the manager didnt seem to really care. He said hed look at the video footage but seemed more annoyed at the inconvenience of having to help me. If I go back Ill be sure to leave my purse at home, and watch my own back.

Food was delicious. Had their house special chicken smothered in a shrimp/ mushroom sauce. Prices were reasonable. Only four stars because there was only one waitress and place was pretty crowded. Salads were delivered after our main course arrived.

Not a good experience. Refused to toast the inside of the bread for my BLT, said it was a crazy special request. So I sent it back and received a sandwich not toasted at all with cheese on it. One waitress was very apologetic. Everyone else was rude

Drinks are watered down, we used to go every Halloween or special occasion. We always had a group with us and spent a lot of money. Each year it got worse and worse. We would have to go up to the bar to order drinks or food! No-one in are group

Gaaa... every time (3 times) Ive been in, the waitress is severely over-worked and it took a VERY LONG TIME to get our orders. Only go here if you like lots of pool tables and waiting, waiting, waiting to get your food and drinks.
