Great beer and great food! I was with a group of friends walking by and saw a line by the bike outside that when riden, helps generate power for inside. Awesome. We then ventured in to find out it was their grand opening and we were just in time for our first pint... Free. Awesome again. The variety of beers on tap made my head spin and with the lack of decision making skills I have, I tasted 5 of the 10. The bartender was completely knowledgeable about each beer he was pouring and had suggestions based on the beers I drink. Then we decided to have dinner. Great choice. The food is amazing. The variety of options is endless. Gluten free? Vegan? Enjoy their pizza, they offer both options. The Portland Bella sandwich has the tastiest red pepper hummus on it and they have amazing soup. Go in for a beer and stay for their food. The atmosphere is awesome. The walls are covered with beer bottles and their half wall dividing some of the seating is stacked with beer bottles and cans. By accident I dined at Hub, and by accident I fell in love with Hub.

Horrible Service. I have gone here multiple times, at least seven times in the past few months. The service is awful. The two gals who work the patio area, one is named Alicia. The other one wears black glasses. They are two of the rudest people I have ever met. I do not understand why they work in a service industry if they can not treat customers nicely. I love their beer selection and food. However, I can not stand the bad service anymore. We host groups multiple times per week, and would bring our associates to this establishment. It has become embarrassing that we would highly recommend this place, and then receive bad service when we arrive. I will find a new place to take groups, and ensure that no one hosts at this location anymore.

I dont know if we caught the bartender on a bad day or what but she made us feel completely unwelcome, we didnt get a beer list so we read the board while she stood in front of us looking annoyed. Once we got our beer and food she ignored us completely, no refills no checking back, after 10 minutes of waiting with our card out we had to stand up and put on our jackets before she deigned to come over and ask if we wanted anything else, it was like calculated condescension. Ill not visit the bike bar again. On another note, the next day we went to the brewery location for growler fills, and the service there was a total 360 turnaround, friendly staff and welcoming vibe, so at least there was some redemption for HUB.

Its the across town cousin of the HUB location in SE. It may be smaller but it still has a great vibe. The decor is bike heavy but its not overdone. They have a great location and layout that makes it a comfortable place to spend the afternoon, especially on their patio. Most importantly though is that they bring the quality of food with the kegs from their parent location. The beer section is great and the food portions are generous. The staff is more than knowledgeable and will always offer to suggest a drink and/or food pairing.

HUB occupies a vast indoor/outdoor space on N. Williams. Theyve sectioned off an urban garden on the back patio, so al fresco dining really feels like youve left the confines of the city. We even saw hummingbirds on our last visit. There is an extensive microbrew list, as to be expected, as well as so-so food options, which would probably be above-average if this were anywhere but Portland. Note: HUB is kid-friendly, so expect to share your space with them, as they have free reign of the outdoor patio.

Have yet to grab a bite to eat in Hopworks, but I stopped in for a beer (followed by two growlers -- no judgement). I remember getting the HUB Organic Lager and the HUB Organic IPA. While I tend to have a preference for IPAs (and lots of them), the lager definitely held its own. Reasonable costs for the growlers as well, with a fill being around $6 and the actual growler being $11.

By far the best outdoor kids play area at a restaurant Ive ever seen. Tons of things to keep the wee-ones happy while you take advantage of a terrific happy our between 4:00-6:00. The black bean corn cakes, pretzels, sliders and salads were very poplar. A broad list of beers is to be expected, but the service was excellent and very friendly. If you can, sit outside.

Beer was great, food was good. Service was okay but everything seemed a little overpriced, not a lot of things to buy like glassware at the bike bar. Tried to buy a few pint glasses and they sold me a used mug for $6 and i got a growler fill for an Imperial IPA and was charged $28. Super cool place though, and an awesome brewery!

Great theme! Youll have to see the creative bathrooms to believe them. This place had killer beer sampler trays and awesome food. Their poutine is BY FAR the best poutine I have had in the USA, and I am a poutine lover from Canada so thats REALLY saying something. Will definitely go back when I return to Portland again.

Same great food and beer as the brewery, but quite a bit smaller. The back patio is really nice in the summertime. If you feel up to it, take the bike trainer out for a few minutes and crank out some electricity for the building and some expanded calories youll need to replenish with another beer.

Nice beer and pretty good food. The only reason for three stars versus four is that its not dog friendly despite ample outdoor seating. It seems a little peculiar given that Portland is generally a pretty dog friendly place. So leave the pooch and home and swing through during happy hour.

Great selection of Hopworks beers. Im partial to the IPA - hoppy, bitter and very tasty! The pizza here is good and the service is pretty quick. Be aware that there is a childrens play area in the restaurant so if that bugs you then make sure you ask to sit clear of it.

The interior of this place is super cool. Beers and bikes, all over the place, and it looks nice and clean. The beer is excellent, all kinds light and dark. The food smelled great and sounded good, I didnt try any, however. A very fun place to go with a group of friends.

Beer was pretty decent but the food was a complete disappointment. Bad. Service started out OK but then we were completely forgotten about, had to go in and stand at a near empty bar for 5 minutes just to get our check. Would not bother to ever go back.

Super wait staff, yummy eats, and great energy. Super accommodating/patient with groups, even with random late arrival stragglers! Love the back patio area & bike parking. And kudos for allowing us inside, even when were a bit grungy & sticky!

This brewery is a model for businesses everywhere. Taking to heart how to best serve not just their clientele but also their community. I encourage everyone to support this establishment and to spread their tenants to others.

Friendly staff, good beer selection. VERY kid friendly. One thing I really enjoy this location are the healthy alternatives to french fries for the children and adults. Also great take out deals on pizza and growler fills.
