Very cute small cafe/bakery. My husband and I were looking forward to trying their food. However, after a 45 minute wait after ordering our food, we had still not been served. We asked the waiter to instead pack our meal in to-go boxes so we could be back on the road. After waiting another few minutes, our waiter returned to tell us that they had run out of the chicken that went with my husbands meal. At this point we could not wait any longer, and asked for a refund. This was a complete lack of customer service, and a ridiculous wait time for the small number of people that were in the restaurant, only to be told at the very end that they were out of our meal. We will not be returning in the future.

This place is the most *AUTHENTIC* restaurant Ive found (outside a few taco trucks) since leaving California 12 years ago. I was so excited when I learned they make *SOPES* bc most Mexican restaurants dont serve them. They also have one of the few *OUTSIDE SEATING* areas in Newberg; which is located in the back conveniently blocking most road noise from 99. I only wish they were open later! After checking the hours here, I walked up there only to be told they *CLOSE AT 7* :( Ill double check before I submit an edit but just a heads up.

The corn tortillas are made in house. Theyre good but theyre not enough to justify the $2.50 price per taco. An extra $.45 if you get a taco with tripa or lingua. The pastor is pretty good and the tacos are on the larger side. It takes like 20 minutes to make three tacos. Maybe they have to go harvest the corn or something? The chips that came with the meal were very good. Handmade and deep-fried. If they were using a house made salsa, I couldnt tell. Did I mention it took like 20 minutes to make three tacos?

We havent had good Mexican Food in such a long time until tonight. Previously at other locations we had always gotten reheated food on hot plates with nothing seemingly fresh. The seating isnt more than youd expect from a daily diner Cocina, but the food is prepared from love. Best in a very long time...served two within 30 minutes. We went and thanked the Cooks for making such good food for us...and gave hugs. Hope to find the passion continuing into the future for all to love as we do.

Authentico Mexican food! We were so happy to find this gem over 20 years ago! Our kids practically grew up together, we saw their son in the shop weekly when we stopped by for tacos or sopas (for us parents) and rice and beans (for our kids). Weve moved away from the Newberg area but we return frequently and always stop in before our summer trek to the drive-in theater!

Food was good! I would have given them 4 stars, but I was disappointed that their sign outside advertises $5.99 lunch specials when once I was inside they said they dont have any $5.99 lunch specials anymore. The cheapest "special" on the menu was $6.99. Call me cheap, but nonetheless, I was a little disappointed. I still liked the good though!

This place is a bakery, restaurant and convenient store all in one. The operation is family-run and the cashier (the son) is always chatty and friendly. My favorite thing to order in the restaurant are the sopes. My favorite pastries (before I went gluten-free) are the the ones filled with custard or pinapple, and the doughnut.

When me and my family went, they got our order IN THE WRONG TABLE!!! Then the (super rude) waitress came and got food all over my face (which wasnt even my plate). Then the taco that I ate had the meat like it wasnt even sliced. I wouldnt go there again.
