Great chips and salsa served with refried beans. Request the hot salsa (pictured, with chip)! The queso (white cheese) is also surprisingly tastey. The combination plates are great if youre starving, but stick to their dinners if youre just craving an amount of food that can be consumed by a mere mortal. Speaking as someone who moved up here from Texas (and has eaten at a number of Mexican restaurants in this area), this place has very good basic Tex-Mex food. In five visits Ive never been disappointed by the food, but its important to manage your expectations in this price range.

They seated us and brought chips and dip right away. Or order was taken promptly and they brought the food in a timely fashion as well. The food was quite tasty. This restaurant went through a bad period starting about four years ago, enough so that I had decided not to go anymore, but a friend told me they had gotten better so I gave them another shot. Things were indeed as good as the Mazatlan of old, which is great since I had been in need of a good reliable local Mexican restaurant.

Place was nearly empty at 12:30 in the afternoon. Sat down and asked the brusque waitress for the price of the margaritas, She disappeared and never returned. Ordered the chicken chimichanga, partner had beef chimchanga. Chicken was somewhat dry while wrapping was slightly soggy. Chicken had a bit of off taste. Beef chimichanga came stuffed with taco filling, not the expected shredded beef. Overall, not a very good experience. Would not recommend, keep looking.

Very disrespectful hostess, was speaking in Spanish as if I couldnt understand them because I was black. And once I informed them of such knowledge they wanted to smile and act all friendly... The charged me for dinner prices instead of Lunch and then when i brought that up they tried to play dumb.. Never will be back their again!

Order their tortilla soup the broth had no seasoning it was oily and tasted like burnt chicken. They barely give any avocado with stale chunks of tortilla instead of strips. Worst soup ever!! I got the soup because feeling sick and wanted a good soup. My home made tortilla soup 10 times better. Never again.

Wonderful, I highly recommend! My family and I went in on a Monday night and there was hardly anyone else (which made us nervous at first) but our experience was only positive. Everything was fresh, delicious, inexpensive and the portions were great! Even their soda was wonderful! A truly hidden gem.

This last time i went in was waiting for my food and realized that there was a coroch walking on the wall and when the lady brought my food and i told her about it she siad they come from next door and thats the last time i ever go there

Ive been a regular customer for 7 years. Service is outstanding! They take the time to listen and will deliver a plate just as you would like. The food is good and plentiful. Drinks are well done. Of all the Mazatlans, this one is the best!

The food is ok but Ive had better. Ordered chicken nachos and I had a pile of shredded chicken in the middle with cheese and a lot of very burnt chips on the edges, very unappetizing.

Tacos alpastor are great burritos full of everything ....... great atmosphere, music and service.... but dont try the chorizo that I dont recommend.... everything else yes .....

We just dont go anywhere else. Not even to the other Mazatlan restaurants in the area. Aloha always consistently serves up the best salsa, margaritas and dinners around.
