I noticed that EVERYBODY likes this place. And for good reason. You wouldnt expect food this good, fresh, and authentic to be hidden away in a busy shopping center like this, but its a real find when you discover it. Ive eaten here 3 times so far and it has always been amazing. Every item is delicious. When you dine in, the chips and salsa is incredible. Then when the menu item comes out, every part of it is great. Thats what I like! It really lets you get a good value for your money. The owner Carlos is really nice. Hes passionate about his food, but still very humble... a rare combination in a good cook! LOL Although the interior is bright and clean, the real focus here is on the food. From the kitchen to your table, with little frills, just authentic fresh Mexican food. I think I will be a minimum of a once-per-month regular.

ok i went here solely based on the great reviews. I was disappointed. Ordered 2 tamales rice and beans. Tamales were bland too much masa not enough meat and microwaved not steamed. Also rice and beans kinda cold and bland. Table salsa had too much liquid smoke and the waitress was pushy. Id never been here and they kept coming over to ask if I was ready even though I was reading the menu and told them I needed more time. I honestly wasnt impressed. I only jump on here because so many great reviews I wanted the people to know about my experience.

Great little Mexican place. The food is very tasty and quite authentic. I had the Roja Enchiladas. I will definitely be coming back. Only negative was peas in the rice. This must be a traditional preparation because peas and Mexican food just dont mix IMO. Staff was wonderful and they even have an app on Apple/Android. This is a great local business to support and I wish them continued success.

Food was great.. Im really picky about Carne Asadas alot of mexican restaurants dont season it that well and when Served its dry.. but this place the Carne asada hit the spot.. reminded me of my dads Carne Asada.. which to me its the best. Definitely recommend you to come.. friendly staff. And my husbands says that the torta Cubana was really good.. best he has tried by far.

The food was great, especially since we were there for a large event and there were a lot of us to feed! The staff was courteous, and VERY prompt with all of our requests. They answered all questions with a smile and offered outstanding customer service. I highly recommend the fajitas, and renting out their back room for a family function or other event.

Full and authentic flavors from obviously fresh ingredients coupled with polite and friendly service (also for picking up orders) makes El Patron Mexican Grill a must visit for anyone who loves food above and beyond the normal standard.

I am a big fan of El Patron and have been going there since they opened over a year ago....the food Is authentic Mexican and prepared quickly at a great price Carlos,Miriam and all of there staff have always been very friendly with a smile and greeting the minute I walk through the door....I could not recommend El Paton enough

I live relatively close to this restaurant, and its wonderful on long days where I dont want to cook to come in and order food to go thats made quickly with great quality. Super friendly service, always with a smile, and Im always treated like family here. I would recommend to anyone who loves Mexican food!

Hands down, the best Mexican restaurant in Salem. Carlos, Mira and the crew are awesome! The dishes prepared here are very authentic. Do yourself a favor and visit them for a treat. They do take out also.
