Have been going here for years...they are not what they use to be. Wife and I usually go into the lounge to eat. We dont drink alcohol but can always get a seat right away and just like the atmosphere in there better. We have been coming here for years and had always had a pretty good meal and experience. Last night the wife ordered a chicken quesadilla and she received a cheese only one. OK we all make mistakes. I then watched a waiter come in from the main dining room and told the bartender he needed a piña colada and he watched him make it. Seriously...if you come here dont order any alcoholic drinks because youll get about a thimble of booze in it. It was then that I started to notice a pattern...I started to think that they are skimping on everything in order to save costs and boost profits. Then I thought, "no thats crazy". I continued to finish my strawberry lemon-aid and set the glass to the side for a refill. Ive always received free refills on this drink for YEARS. Waiter came by and said, "No free refills on this". Policy changed. Ahhhh....my suspicion was confirmed. Oh well, it WAS a good restaurant and we had some nice times in the past but all good things must come to an end. Bye bye JC

When I ask the kids where they would like to eat when we plan to go out, the answer is almost always Juan Colorado. The servers are always friendly to us and our young children. The great food and even better Cadillac margaritas keep us coming back fairly regularly including some nights when the grandparents have been nice enough to take the kids for an evening. It seems to be a family run establishment and most of the servers have been there for many years. If you want good Mexican food, Juan Colorados at the East end of Hillsboro is a great choice. I highly recommend the enchiladas espinacas with a Cadillac margarita! The kids go for the cheese quesadilla. Oh... and in response to the thick chip issue mentioned by another reviewer... I personally like a chip that does not crumble in the salsa!

Im honestly never going back to Juan Colorados off of tv hwy. Just had an awfully rude server. Asked if we wanted anything to drink, in the middle of my response, walks away as soon as he heard "Wa.." (water). Also when I was ordering kept trying to grab my menu. Then when we get our bill, Rachel asked him if he can split it. In the middle of her asking, he cuts her off and says just put both cards in and Ill do it. Then comes back after we paid (using cards) while were talking, looks at the receipts and says, "Ummm... my pens?" And waited for 3 min for us to find them. Just disgusted with their customer service. Honestly, ruined our girl time together. And then they are so overly priced! Could of gotten the same plate but 5$ cheaper at Mazatlan. Never again.

I have been coming to this restaurant since 2000. I have to say Ive become very dissapointed. The service is not what it used to be. The owner does not seem to care about the feedback. I was here 3 months ago and I had to return a pollo asada plate since the chicken was still raw. I was here last night with family and friends and their flour tortillas had a piece of metal or what looked like a staple baked into it. I told the waiter and he just looked at me like ok just stood there. No apologies, no exchange of a new batch of tortillas and no discount or anything. Real dissapointing. 6/18/2016

Very disappointed with the service I received, I understand Soccer is a big sport, however when I go out to eat I expect to be serviced. I should not be expected to compete with the Soccer game being televised in the restaurant. There were probably 3 other customers in the restaurant, so the staffing was more than enough for them. If Juan Colorado is not going to or capable of managing themselves or their people then turn off or get rid of the TVs. P.S. Management and staff were both taking part of showing up for work to watch Soccer and avoiding customers.

Wonderful Food.. Sure not 100% authentic maybe.. but its still taste excellent and does have a bit of an authentic touch. Generous portions, nice flavor and do try the churros... oh man out of this world.. The only cons are perhaps the serving of picante salsa versus chunky type, which I still dont mind. Customer service is a bit lacking on busy days, but you still get your food on time, maybe not as much care and compassion as you would like. Anyway, who cares, because the food is wonderful and you dont wait 1 hour to get it, even when busy.

Good food in the common more Americanized style. Chips and salsa are good however the chips are a bit more dense than I prefer. Food comes on large plates with lots of their excellent and flavorful rice and beans. If you cant do rice/beans/chip/salsa good then all hope is lost for anything else, good for Juan Colorado they do well in all the above. Entrees are very good with generous amounts of sauce and cheese depending on the particular dish. All in all one of the best of this style of Mexican food in the immediate area.

I thought I was at Chucky Cheese. Kids were allowed to scream and run back and forth 1 foot from my table during the entire meal.. $16.95 for a meal. I wouldnt go back even if they offered free margaritas. The food was great but I was so mad I couldnt stop shaking. It was ridiculous. For that price youre paying for the atmosphere but I wouldnt deal with that circus even for free margaritas. If you want to eat hear take a bullet to bite on and ear plugs. This place used to be first class now its first graders at recess.

This place is great. Its a chain, but not a very "big" one. This particular location is very quiet. Not many people here when youd think theyd be busy, but I think it has more to do with where its located. Its not by a lot (its in a plaza with only Izzys Pizza competing). The food is good. Its made well. The service is great too. Theyll listen to requests and are very friendly. Good place for Mexican food (and there are a lot of great options around).

I live in Corvallis and every time I come to the Portland area this restaurant is a must. My friends and I all have our own favorites from the menu. My favorite is the Pollo Asada with sour cream. Friends love Tacos El Carbon, Pollo Fundito and the Fajitas. The only way you can go wrong on this menu is if you order from one of the numbered generic combos. Order any of their specialties and you wont be disappointed. .

Ive been there 2 times in several months and Im telling you the food is very cheap quality for very high prices. Im convinced their ground beef is grou d turkey or soy meat wit beef flavoring. It is an offense to serve and call it beef. Its not a d taste bland, burnt and weird. It Is not beef! Please spend money at cbealrr nearby Mexican places with great quality!!! Boo to you JC.
