So its important to note, Hoodsport is a small SLOW town. We have an amazing community and the Girls are a big part of this community. This restaurant is targeting more to this community, so imagine you are entering a place that is more like someones house their "private area". They love cooking for others but they are a little slow, and many people passing through are quite rude. They have the best food in town, so seriously relax you are in hoodsport and dont make any plans and it will be an enjoyable experience The food is classic diner food, they tend to be a little slow so be very patent and kind with them.

We wanted a big breakfast on a Monday in late October, and this was the one and only place we could find for miles. Fortunately the food was terrific, and we had time to wait for meticulous preparation. Everything is made from scratch, to order. The restaurant is clean and decorated in kitschy cabin decor. (Except the bathroom, which is decorated to reflect the owners love of dogs). The cook is very friendly, and her partner tries hard but confesses to preferring 4-legged friends. I would go back - the eggs benedict and blueberry pancakes were great.

We went in at 11am, our food was the only order being made and it took an hour to make 4 breakfasts. Signs all say "fine food as fast as we can make it"... more like average food as slow as possible. Wont be back to wait that long for mediocre fare. Waitress (who I assumed owned it) never smiled, not once. She took the unopened jelly package off my fiancés finished plate, wiped it off on his used napkin and put it back in her apron. So, to whomever gets it on their plate of food next, were clean thankfully. Hope the ones before us were too.

I had really tasty blueberry pancakes here, so good that I would come again and try their other offerings (or maybe just more pancakes :-) ). I wasnt totally sure we were welcome at first but we stuck around and were glad we did. The server was hard of hearing but we got our message across and, as mentioned by others, the pacing is deliberate which was fine with us (though is a bit of an adjustment). Well be back.

This place is exactly what youd expect in a small town. The ladies are very friendly. The food is all made from scratch and with quality ingredients. Fantastic pizza, burgers, sandwiches and eggs benefict. Slow down from your hectic life. Put your cell phone away and enjoy a good old fashioned conversation with some locals. I GUARANTEE you will leave happy & full

Some of the best food in the area. Crab-cake benedict with homemade hollandaise. Delicious reubens and steak/meatloaf special dinners every friday and saturday night. Carry one of my favorite local beers Dicks danger ale, they also have champagne. Free wifi, good coffee, nice ladies. What more can I say?
