Horrible Service. Ended up just walking out. My wife and I were really looking forward to a relaxing night out, at a new restaurant, and thought wed give this a try. What a mistake! After being seated, we were totally ignored. There were only 3-4 other tables of customers at the time (early Friday around 5pm) For 15-20 minutes we sat there, waiting for someone to come by with water, maybe take a drink order, or just acknowledge us. Instead, is seems that our waitress did not possess any type of multi-tasking abilities. (or maybe we were invisible to her?). The table that was right next us (about 2 feet away) was seated 2 minutes before we were. The waitress kept walking right past us, without any type of acknowledgement, or attention and waiting on them. Next, a group of 3, and then a table of 5 were seated, and she began waiting on them, while we sat there--ignored. Inexcusable service. I cant recommend based on our experience.

My husband and I used to eat here regularly but within the last year we have experience poor customer service more and more each time that we had visited. We visited tonight and the bartender in the lounge(Sophia)(she is always slow as hell and inattentive) had some terrible rap music blasting as we came in with lyrics saying "F**K this and F**K that, p***y this and that". She then proceeds to loudly talk to a customer about how she hates living here and cant wait to get back to LA, then begins talking about DUIs and how they are such an inconvenience on your life, all while exclaiming "S**t, no way, S**t"! to his story, very appropriate service behavior. Every single time we have visited and shes behind the bar for happy hour she sits around and talks to the wait staff while mostly ignoring customers. The sushi is fine at Izumi, but almost every time we sit in the lounge the service is an absolute joke. How does this girl still have a job?

Hands down the best sushi restaurant in Eugene - for taste, freshness/quality and ambiance. We come here all the time with family and friends. Their "choose two or three" combo menu is the best deal going. Whenever my sister comes from out of town we go here and every time she raves about the food and "cant believe what a great deal this is". The special rolls like the "Vegas Roll" are so very good. Everything is good, actually. I have never been disappointed. We also get it to go sometimes and it is just as goo. Finally, they have a happy hour both in the restaurant and in the bar that is great. Great prices and it includes a lot of the tings that you would normally get at dinner time, not just a few "cheap" items that you would only get on a happy hour menu.

Its not bad food, heres the thing. I ordered to go, I was told a half hour wait. After a half hour I was told another half hour and after that another half hour, so an hour and a half later I got my food which I liked. This being said I called the next day to place an order so I didnt have to wait so long in the restaurant, I was told again a half hour; I figured it would take a bit longer than that so I showed up 45 minuets later. They didnt put in my order, so OK people make mistakes, and I understand that. Its now a week after and I tried to place an order... they dont answer the phone. Im relatively patient but after three disappointments I wont be back and I will never recommend to anyone.

I really love the sushi here. It doesnt compare to anywhere else Ive tried. It always tastes fresh and they have very good happy hour specials for sushi rolls. Their american food for non-sushi lovers is also delicious. However, the service has been very bad at times. Ive waited 45+ minutes to get my rolls before, had a completely incorrect order served to me, and had a waitress harass my smaller party & I, about gratuity. These would normally all be grounds for me not to return. BUT their food & drinks are too good for me to not come back. Only didnt give them the 5 stars because of bad experiences with the service.

Went here on a whim and was not disappointed. Went during a super busy time and was seated and given water and menus immediately. Waiter was friendly and good humored, and offered plenty of information about the food. Atmosphere was casual and modern, seems like a cool place to hang out at for the bar. Beautiful decor. Whatever green tea they serve is amazing. Some of their food has a bit of a spicy kick to it, like the oysters, but even so theyre fresh and buttery and delicious. Happy hour is great, ordered a ton of different kinds of sushi and was not disappointed. I highly recommend, worth the price!

I am giving a generous 5 star rating due to the happy hour. They have an ab FAB happy hour!!! Each visit has been very different as far as service and it hasnt always been good... but the last 2 times I experienced a marked improvement. Happy! The bar in back is quite nice. I am pleased to say that the sushi rolls are very generously proportioned... you dont need to over order here! I didnt care for the Saki sampler... too dry, but the hot sake was more flavorful... YUM!!! And I was not in the mood for a warm beverage. Ill order it again (the hot sake on the happy hour menu). :)

Its all the little things. Waiting 5+ minutes to get someone to notice you are standing in front of the table that needs to be bussed. Servers not having basic menu ingredient knowledge. The ladies bathrooms are always dirty. Yes, I love using rolls of toilet paper that had been sitting on a public restroom floor. NOT! They finally got a new garbage can, its not disgusting but it doesnt work so all the paper towels are laying all over the floor. Food was good tonight, but the rolls can be hit and miss. Begging for water glasses to get refilled. You get the idea.

The restaurant is lively and full of excellent service. The Mizo has a strong broth, and the presentation to every detail is fitting for a skyliner lounge. With such a wonderful start, I expected the same with the sushi. Again, the rolls were beautiful in presentation, but it was disappointing to find the taste just hitting miss from what I was to expect. For $9-15 per roll, I wanted more flavor. Dont get me wrong, they have truly fine food. I am but a connoisseur of fine food, and have high expectations for everything. A recommendation any day.

Worst Sushi in town. The quality of the nigiri was terrible especially considering the price. In happy hour a plate of california rolls was $3 for an 8 piece plate, which is outrageously overpriced for a basic cali-roll. The quality of service was extremely unfulfilling and was very unprofessional. This restaurant is nothing more than a money grab, cheap ingredients, crappy plating and dish sets, overpriced menu, terrible service, and loud. Please consider visiting any of the other wonderful restaurants in the area

The service was TERRIBLE. The food was good. The waitress was no good because we had seven people in the party so she new her mandatory tip was already made. Our friends went there for about the 10th time. Izumis had 6 tables available but would not seat them because they were all 4-top tables so our friends were turned away.Neither of us will ever go back to get abused again!!!!!!!!!!
