Got off the freeway as a better option for lunch, and if you, too, are considering this restaurant, dont let the prices (or "french farm to table" moniker) fool you. Maybe its good for locals who dont have better options, but coming from Portland or most other cities, this place is an overpriced disappointment. I ordered the mescaline salad with strawberry basalmic vinaigrette ($8) aka a plate of mostly too-tough greens (just greens!) coated with what I hope was olive oil and a hint of vinegar that might have dreamed about strawberries the night before (and here is even strawberry season), paid an extra $1.50 for "Oregon" blue cheese that was completely unremarkable and thoroughly dusted on the salad, but not in large enough chunks to actually taste. Complemented with a cucumber mint soda which tasted like the cucumber had been cut with a dirty knife and the mint was an afterthought. I also had a "cup" of salmon bisque soup, for which the chef dug deep into his or her culinary institue training to infuse with some jalapeño, not amazing, but not bad (served in the bowl but only one ladle instead of two, lol), $6.My boyfriend had the chicken sandwich, again, unremarkable in flavor, but did contain a bone. (However, his accompanying salad had NO dressing at all. ) Best thing about the meal was his Rogue Hazelnut ale and the pommes frites served with "garlic aoli," aka some mayo with a little garlic in it. The owner should spend some time dining at good restaurants, so he or she knows what a $50 lunch tastes like. The service was good.

8/9/2014 My favorite bar in town. Dont go there if you want to get trashed, but if you want to go somewhere with a relaxing atmosphere, knowledgeable bartender and good food, come here. The bartender knew how to make a Vesper and even put it in the deep champagne goblet where it belongs, not in a martini glass. They have a great selection of liquor and wine. They have a pretty small menu, im sure Marché has more options but I didnt go in there. Food-wise I enjoyed the pork bellie lettuce tomato sandwich. It came with house made chips and a green salad with a light vinaigrette. The sandwich was well prepared on a chibatta loaf. The pork was cooked to perfection and the sandwich was very enjoyable. The atmosphere was very good. It was quiet enough to enjoy a conversation with a companion and the bartender on occasion. Lyric-less music played softly in the background creating delightful ambiance. And although most of the patrons were wearing plainclothes, my friend and I were wearing suits and didnt feel out of place. We claimed to work in finance. In conclusion, this great place, if your looking for a pleasant dining experiance, or a terrific drink or two. Prices arent cheap but they are very fair for the quality. You get what you pay for. Best martini Ive ever had, and I get one every bar I go to.

Service at Le Bar is amazing and my favorite side to sit is near the bar, theyre excellent hosts. This is the place to go to for a good variety of drink including some that are not as easily accessible within the state. Food is seasonal and the quality is quite good. The soups change everyday with a variety of purees, the desserts are decadent but not "too much" on the rich side. Some recommended dishes throughout the year would be the ever present and rotating cheese board (gorgeous setup), oysters (japanese, good size for easy consumption), green goddess salad, roasted beets and burrata, the cheese souffle, and in the winter the truffle tagliatelle with onions.

My partner and I enjoyed Saturday brunch. I made a reservation online which was super easy. We went in at 9:30am and the restaurant was about half full. We enjoyed a pastry and coffee while waiting for our main course. I had the crab cake benedict. It was one of the best dishes I have eaten in Eugene. It was deliciously fresh and savory with right balance of lemon acidity from the hollandaise sauce. The crab cakes were large and made with little to no filler ingredients. My partner had the salmon hash, a great mix of rainbow root vegetables and a more than satisfactory portion of smoked salmon. The price was well worth it, spending about $20 per head.

I hosted a private dinner for in the executive or courtyard room in the back of the restaurant. Having the room was excellent as the restaurant can be very noisy at times. All of our food was perfectly prepared, but service was disappointingly slow for a Tuesday evening. The slow service gave us plenty of time to drink more wine and anticipate the various courses coming like desert. I would have given them five stars had our waitress been more attentive and explained why the kitchen was backed up and generally been more friendly. Marches cuisine is some of the best in town, so Im sure our next dining experience will be better!

I had an asparagus salad to start, then a sturgeon lentil entree, followed by a cheese platter dessert. I asked about wine pairings with the food and the server did a decent job suggesting something. Food was good (10/10 for eugene), its fine dining. The price was a little steep mainly for the cheese plate with nothing more then 2 types of soft cheese and some jam. And as far as service at the Marche, acceptable is a good word. I would have liked a little more attention directed at my table with the 200 dollar price tag.

Always love to go to Marche. Lovely wait staff attentive ,not intrusive. wonderful food .we started todays dinner with fried anchovies which were great. The fresh oysters we had were wonderful I dont remember the name but theyre whatevers available right now fresh. The steak frite was lovely was served with a compound butter and very nice well done fries, crispy on the outside lovely on the inside. The black and carrots served with honey and pollen were fantastic. For dessert I had an Amara flight three different amaros

This lunch was my 4th meal at Marche, and the first time for my husband. Service was solicitous and prompt. His crabcakes were quite good; my charcuterie plate was good and interesting; the mushroom puree (soup) was exquisite, and the little touch of pickled onion set it apart and above ny others I have had. Only quibbles were about their bitters aperitifs. Despite a listing of several flavors, there was no discernable flavor note over the bitters.

Came in for a quick bite (in the bar) and after waiting for 10 minutes our server finally came by. 40 min later no food, which meant I needed to get the food to go, because Id be late for an appointment. Paid and the server (Phil c.)proceeded to have an attitude and treat us poorly...still waiting on food...seriously? Poor service. If I hadnt paid I would have walked out for the first time in my life!!!

High quality food, Interesting dishes, although a small entré menu. The appetizers and salads in contrast... have many options. In fairness the entré menu does have a selection to represent every popular category and once again the dishes themselves are very creative. Bottom line, delicious food. Service has always been quite good for us. Portions on the small side, but over all a fine restaurant.

Had a wonderful dining experience. Everything was perfect, from the food, the drinks, and especially the service. Being a novice wine drinker, the sommelier gave us an excellent recommendation on wine to pair with our meal. The server, server assistants, and food runners were all attentive but not overbearing, allowing us to enjoy our conversation. Will be back!
