A couple of weeks ago my wife and I were eating at Pig n Pancake across the street and noticed EVOO. (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) We saw some activity and decided to look it up. This is a fine dining experience that you will NEVER forget. We read the reviews, and said okay, lets go for it. We called, and we had to leave a message to request a reservation which was a little awkward to me. 20 minutes later we get a call back, and told the person what day we wanted. We have never dined at this place, so it was a little awkward paying in full over the phone, and giving all of our info over the phone which took quite a while (We were driving, and my wife was reading my credit card number in the passenger seat). We are from Gresham, so we decided to make this a 2 day get a way. We were instructed to be at EVOO no later than 5:45pm. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Everything was gorgeous, and very well lit. You are sitting around one big cooking station next to everyone else. There are 16 seats around the cooking station and a few tables behind us for overflow. Bob (The Chef) came out and greeted us and asked us where we were from. He explained that this experience is usually him and his wife, but his wife was ill, so it was just him and his crew that evening. I looked over the menu, and me not being a fish person was a little disappointed when I saw Fish with vegetables as the first entree. I thought oh well. Everyone arrived on time and the school/show/demo began. I am sitting here trying to think of the correct words to express what we experienced.... There are no words that can describe what the next 3 hours entailed. The descriptions and cooking of the food was like you were right in a show from the Food Network. Each item so delicately prepared, and explained how and why it was done that way. The first entree was being served and I HAVE NEVER TASTED FISH THIS GOOD. The salmon crusted in lavender, and other spices seared to perfection. Remember, I dont like fish. I DO NOW. 3 Hours of this.... So many different foods and learning so much. Again, no words can describe what you are about to see. The $150 per person is a STEAL. Wine pairing is included, as well as the gratuity. The money you invest in this evening will be a memory for life. Bob...thank you. We will be back again. Blane and Sasha. UPDATE....We went again...and OMG. Words cant describe the detail...the flavors...of dinner.....Bob made a Chocolate Souffle with Melted Dark chocolate in the middle with a Bruleed Merang with Toasted coconut, home made brittle and a little scoop of Sorbet. This was the best dessert my wife and I have ever had in our LIFE. And Bob has created a new "Everything" Sauce...made from fresh berries. It is the ultimate sauce to dip meats in, and I am using right now as I type this as a salad dressing. I should have purchased more than 1 bottle. Cant wait till next time!!

EVOO is nothing short of amazing. It is costly? Yes. Is it worth it? In my opinion Yes! The wife and I love Cannon beach and we’ve been to every restaurant in the area so we wanted to try something different. After reading all of the wonderful reviews, I decided this is where I was going to take the wife for her birthday. We were both happy I did. Bob and Lenore are passionate about the quality of food they use, how it is prepared and your overall experience. It was like getting an education in food and wine from a culinary master. Simple in technique. Master in execution. Perfection in taste. We were served 3 meals and a dessert with 6-8 glasses of wine. We were very comfortable in the end…not too stuffed and definitely not hungry. Of the 18 people in attendance, we were one of maybe 4 people who had come for the first time. Some of the others had been there 3-5 times and 1 couple, 20 something times. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a wonderful meal, be among great company, learn proper cooking techniques (or not), in a wonderful city, look no further than EVOO. Bob and Lenore (and their staff) will cater to your needs.

If I only had ONE choice of where to go for a culinary experience, it would be EVOO Cannon Beach Cooking School. EVOO is celebrating its 10th anniversary and my family & friends have had the wonderful experience of attending both classes & the Dinner Show at EVOO for at least 8 of those years. To this day -- I can only say that whatever you attend at EVOO will be of the HIGHEST excellence -- a paring of AMAZING cuisine paired with COMPREHENSIVE & SKILLED instruction; WARMEST reception; the HIGHEST quality of local & organic food sources; and an INCREDIBLE culinary experience (OH! and I forgot to mention a lot of fun!!). Bob & Lenore offer this in the most sincere, appreciative and humble way. THANK YOU!

Took my Mom & sister here for my Moms 70th bday. I was a little apprehensive about the price, but can now honestly say it was completely worth every penny. The food and wine were exquisite and we learned so much. Bob & Lenore are passionate about food and select only the finest (mostly local and organic) seasonal ingredients. They generously share their knowledge and skills and are completely invested in making it an unforgettable experience. It was one of those magical evenings that remind you what life is all about -- family, friends, laughter and great food!

"Perfect" does not quite capture how good the food really is at EVOO. Every preparation, brilliantly and wittily narrated to you as it is prepared, surprises you with its quality and uniqueness. Bob and Lenore are as fun as they are skilled and knowledgeable. The whole experience is three hours of being educated, entertained, and served foods that will leave a lasting impression on you. Whether youre really are into cooking at home, or just like a few new ideas, or are happy to just take what you get, everyone will enjoy the time and the food at EVOO.

EVOO Rocks!!! Honestly, probably the best experience during my visit in Cannon Beach. Both Bob & Lenore have such a warm & inviting establishment that makes you feel at ease immediately. Bob is a culinary legend! Their food tasted amazing, I savored every last bite. They took us on a journey explaining every minutiae detail of flavor, including the inspirational moments that transpired their culinary art. My lady & I were certainly the youngest there & it makes me laugh thinking how others wait until later in their life to enjoy these moments.

Really.... It was simply an amazing evening! We were there on April 6, 2017; the food was amazing -- and the chefs (Bob and Lenore) were fun, interesting, patient in their explanations of what they were doing, and gave me a completely new perspective on wine and food. The experience lasted over three hours, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Deeeee-licious!! Cannon Beach is such a wonderful place to visit -- and spending an evening at EVOO capped off our week perfectly!
