During our stay at Surfrider Resort I was hungry for good pizza,I called the front desk and Road House was highly praised and suggested we try them and I am so very glad we did. The food was terrific, the workers were happy, fun and outgoing plus eager to make our visit there pleasurable. Instead of a trip to eat pizza and go back to our room at the resort the visit turned into a unexpected late night out dancing due to the live band that was fantastic. It would have been nice if the bar staff members paid more attention to customers and less to each other! I dont get why i had to get up from our table wait and try to get a bartenders attention when a bar server was walking around and walked past our table the whole night She never served our table a drink even once, much less ask if we wanted anything! Maybe she thought we wouldnt tip her?!?! Oh well HER LOSS because my better half is always commenting on how much I OVER TIP especially good service which i received neither of ! THE RESTAURANT STAFF WAS 5 STARS! BAR STAFF 1 STAR! I wish I remembered ALL of the Road House staff members who contributed to Our fun and memorable evening that we constantly tell everyone about! Thank you Victor our Server and Rodney our pizza chef/entertainer. We had a great time meeting the two of them and sure you will also if you get the opportunity to. We plan to stop in every trip to Lincoln City and would like to order drinks and b served if we choose again to go to the bar side after our meal. HOPEFULLY The owner and or management will read these reviews and make the much needed staff changes to the bar.

We have come in here many times in the past. We have had excellent service in the past. Salad used to be part of the steak dinner, not anymore... Bake potatoes used to be part of dinner too, not anymore. They no longer offer peanuts to patrons who are waiting to order. Tonight, our meals were all cold. The manager did not offer to comp them for us. We asked for something else, and had to wait quite a long time. The kitchen staff was snacking on food while preparing customer orders. (We were sitting where we could see into the kitchen). The wait staff were standing out by the front door socializing. We finally got our replacement order, after others in our party had already finished their meal. When all was said and done, we were still charged for the "weedy" salad. We had to deny payment for our meals, which should have been a "No Brainer". Upon leaving, my wife stepped into a pot hole in the dimly lit parking lot and threw her back out. We will NEVER be back.... I guess its tie ti find another awesome place to eat. Save your money and go to BURGER KING, youll be happier!!!

The music at the Roadhouse is second to none almost always, they have energetic, fun bands and possibly the best live music on a consistant basis on the Central Coast. However, the service is very slow and often rude, preferring to show of their "flair" and talk to each other than serving customers and the food is not good. It takes on average 15 minutes to get a drink from the time of order, which also takes quite awhile...sometimes I opt to just go to the bar myself, but even that takes awhile! The worst meal Ive had there was the stuffed Portabella Mushroom, which was indescribably awful. I had to request a steak knife to cut through it and even then couldnt hardly do that. When I complained to the server after only attempting two bites I got absolutely no help, not even an offer to make me something else or redo the meal. Then I complained to the bar manager who just said "sometimes that happens". No attempt was made to correct the meal or adjust my dinner check. I know I will go back for the music, but it will be grudgingly since the service and food is so bad.

Mos down the street had like an hour wait, so we hit up the Roadhouse. My wife and I walk in, and stand there waiting to be seated for literally 10 minutes, before anyone even walked up to the front, and there were maybe 15 customers in the entire place, not busy whatsoever. I ordered a halibut sandwich, and the waitress told me that it is really good because the halibut was in the ocean the previous day, but normally its frozen. Sweet frozen seafood at the beach? My wife orders a plain caesar salad, no meat or anything, just dressing, croutons and lettuce. She kept making comments about how the dressing tasted terrible and wasnt able to choke down much of it.... Needless to say my wife has been sick for the last two days, throwing up and everything. Definitely bad food, ever since about 30 minutes after we left the Roadhouse she was saying her stomach hurt. Place is a joke, mediocre home-brews, awful food, service is not up to par, DONT EAT AT THE ROADHOUSE!

I dont think I have ever been treated so rudely. My cousin and I attended the quilt show in Newport today. We were both famished when we left and there were huge lines at both Mos locations. So we stopped at the Roadhouse. Sign inside " please wait to be seated." We viewed the menu, waited and after a couple minutes walked around to the restaurant entrance to see if anyone was going to seat us or if we should just find a table (several right inside were empty.) An Asian man talking to customers at a nearby table looked at us, pointed his finger and said "please wait to be seated". Then turned back to his customers and continued his socializing. We went back out, waited a minute or two and decided FU....we will go eat where people are respectful, friendly and want our business. Ate at McMenamins and had great service and food! No waiting while employees socialize and ignore customers waiting. Will never stop at Roadhouse again.

The Rusty Truck knows nothing about gluten free even though they have a sign saying ask us about our gluten free menu. (My son and I informed him we both are glue free.) Asked the waiter about the menu and he said "oh we dont have one yet". I order and get my rib with fries and after I eat a few. My husband asked the waiter if they were gluten free and he said. "If you dont think they are GF then stop eating them." He should have said let me go ask the cook. Talking to the manager after this rudeness was just as bad. Why do you say ask us about our GF menus if you know nothing abs do not have one. The owner should be ashamed of himself not having a knowledgeable staff also having staff who are rude to customers. Gluten free is serious.

I come here often, and Im never disappointed! On my last stop it was a very busy night, there was a great band playing and a pretty full house...I even tried to bus my own table, but one of the servers caught me and stopped me! The service was great! The food was very good! and I got out of there with money left over! I also think the Roadhouse has one of the best happy hours of anyone around! There are so many menu options, I usually just ask the staff what their favorite dish is...they havent let me down yet! I usually eat in the bar side, but if you get a chance to bring the family...you should try the pizza for sure...its to die for! Yum!
