I would not recommend this place based on a single visit. When we first entered the hostess acted very strange and off put especially because we told her we had a baby. This was weird, but not enough to put us off too much. We got our table and everything was fine. The waitress was friendly and was prompt in getting our drinks and orders. We got our appetizer of hush puppies, which were alright, but we didnt receive any bread or butter. The waitress noticed this relatively quickly and promptly brought us some. This was quite good. I got my soup, also very good. Then the mistake started to occur. We had ordered grilled cheese and mashed potatoes for our toddler and we received chicken chunks and mashed potatoes. No big deal he likes either. I ordered chips with my sandwich and got fries. No big deal I like fries too. The food was all okay and we brushed off these mistakes until we were ready to leave. We were left waiting and waiting to ever see our waitress and once we did we were waiting and waiting again. We had our cards out ready to pay and she just gave us the check and walked off, so we waited for her to come back. So we were left sitting there having already been ready to pay with both of our cards and checks in one thing since she only gave us one. Our impatience in waiting led us to not check the check until we got them back and thats when we noticed that the checks were completely wrong. She came back having overheard us discussing it and explained she had mixed up part of our order with another table and rang them up wrong. So we waited again while she fixed this. When she came back, a bit quicker now, she gave me two receipts as she ran my card for two transactions strangely and did not give me a receipt to check that she had done it correctly this time. But the totals seemed correct and we were all running late already. So we quickly sign and left. TL,DR The food was okay; the service was awful.

So we finally got the chance to check out the new Bread and Butter restaurant in Tulsa OK. we were really looking forward to the food hype we were hearing , we went in and were seated promptly ,there was four of us ,the initial greeting of the server and the water service went well ,after that it was crickets . after the opportunity to read the menu several times while waiting to order we finally got the chance to place our order. we asked for some bread and we were advised that the kitchen was backed up baking bread . I ordered the half roasted chicken and veggies and Chipotle creamed corn , we all ordered something different . the chicken was tasty and the veggies and Chipotle cream style corn was awesome . we were all pleased with the choices we had made for lunch . until !! in walked an older couple caring a long haired Yorkie dog, i am a dog lover just like most of everyone else but they "DO NOT " belong in a restaurant. it wasnt wearing a service dog collar it wasnt a seeing eye dog nor was it on a leash and it wouldnt stop barking this was an unacceptable situation .I brought my concerns to the manager and he said it was a service dog . he didnt seem to think this barking dog in his restaurant was a problem . well enough said i should have stayed home and had Lunch with my DOG.

GREAT FOOD BUT.... they need to take a few lessons from some of the more popular restaurants that stay busy nonstop on their seating process and how to help their wait staff. We waited quite a bit longer than our quoted wait time which was okay as the food was worth the wait however, our waiter was struggling because all of his tables were sat at the same time (we even witnessed one family get up and leave because he couldnt get to them in a timely manner). The whole time, we watched the Manager/Owner and his wife maybe walk throughout the restaurant and not help the wait staff out once! We noticed a few other ladies (not entirely sure what their job was) but not one single one of them was helping to provide tables with drinks or anything while the wait staff struggled emensley to keep up! Blew me and my husband away!!! Also, the Manager/Owner sat down with two lady customers sitting next to us on 2 different occasions to just chat and snack off their plate!! Our waiter had a great attitude and did great and if it werent for him, we probably wouldnt think twice about going back. Great food but they need to get the rest of their act together.. the customer service part!!!

After reading a review in the Tulsa World newspaper, I took my wife out to dinner to see what we thought. We eat out often and love trying new places, especially local owned businesses. They bill themselves as comfort food with a southern flair and thats accurate. Its also accurate to say their food is REALLY good! Tulsa loves a new restaurant, and the hour wait reflected that. We didnt mind, as it was expected and we spent our time ogling the bakery display cases up front. Once we were seated, our server was attentive and prompt. The bread was superb; Id call it a large dinner roll but thats selling it super short. I had the Chicken & Biscuit and my wife had their Chicken Pot Pie. We were both very pleased...in fact, my wife thought her pot pie was one of the best shed ever eaten. Although they were out of the pie & cake we wanted (it WAS super busy) we went ahead and got a dark chocolate sea salt cookie for dessert. We were shocked at how good it was. Everything was fresh, well-balanced, and delicious. Well be back again soon to try more of what they have to offer! Be prepared to wait, though, as word is getting out.

I have eaten at Bread and Butter twice, and Im giving it two stars because of the service. The food is excellent. Top-notch, truly. I will likely order carry-out in the future. However, the two waiters I have had were uninformed, overly awkward/unusual and provided poor service. One couldnt decide whether fried chicken was still available, and then made me prove the menu said a salad included an option to add chicken. (It did, by the way.) He forgot to give us bread and butter - funny, given the name of the restaurant - and didnt check on us after we received our food. The other waiter refused to provide us regular-sized water glasses (similar to what our surrounding tables had), and insisted we use shot-glass-style glasses that we had to fill up every few minutes. He described his personal style as fine-dining service, but it was just the opposite. I hope they hire more experienced wait staff or provide better training in the future. I would like to see this restaurant succeed for a long time, but service is very important when theres a great locally owned restaurant on most corners in Tulsa.
