We are currently sitting in the restaurant waiting for our tickets. We have been waiting for 20 minutes just to get our tickets to pay. Our server was nice, and he kept our drinks full, but the food was absolutely terrible. We were there for a bachelorette party. The woman of honor got a grilled chicken meal, but her chicken was burnt, her carrots were raw, and the rice was hard. Two if us ordered the macaroni and cheese, which was supposed to have ham, but has very little. Both dishes were also cold. I added chicken to mine but it was so burnt, it was like eating ash. It was also an extremely small piece of chicken, but it cost me an extra $5 to add. The total for my dish was $19.18 after tax, but it wasnt worth $5. We waited almost an hour for our food and it was terrible. In addition, our group, a small bachelorette party of only 7 people) were stuck in the corner on the upper level, surrounded by stacked chairs... not a very nice ambiance, especially considering we had a reservation. When we first seated, the server came straight away to ask for our drink orders, however we hadnt had a chance to look at the menu really yet. It was about 15 minutes before he came back for our drink and appetizer orders. Once we received our drinks and apps, it was nearly another 15 minutes before our food order was taken, then over half an hour wait for our food. We received refills on our water, but once we got food, the server never came back to take more drink orders. We each had only one alcoholic drink... for a bachelorette party. We would have ordered so much more and spent so much more money. After receiving our food, we did not see the server again until our food was finished, and by that time, we just asked for our tickets... again, taking more than 20 minutes to show up. The only highlight of our visit was our servers personality.

I really want to like Upstream but after 2 visits, its just not for me. Ill first start off by saying the location is awesome and I cant say enough positive things about the service I received from the staff on both visits - top notch to say the least. The reason I dont like Upstream are the main reason you would go to Upstream, the food and beer. On my first visit I had a steak that was the dinner special, bland describes it pretty well. It was the special so I didnt want it to be my only representation of my food experience so on my next visit, a few months later, I figured I should try something from the normal menu. I read good reviews about the burgers so I ordered the blackened burger with pepper jack cheese and guac. I think they must have forgotten to add the seasoning to the burger because Ive had way more seasoned burgers from McDonalds. As an unseasoned burger, it was good. The fries were edible but were limp and lacked much flavor. Im a huge craft brew fan and I love tasting the local options as I travel across the country and there are some amazing breweries in the area. Just not this one. Dont get me wrong, the beers are good but not great-with the exception of a couple of the seasonals. My palate is mine, so your mileage may very, but nothing grabbed my attention as unique or something that I would want to order again. Ill wrap things up with this; Upstream is good and you probably wont hate it but there are sooo many other amazing places in the neighborhood with absolutely killer beer and WAY BETTER food. Explore your options before settling.

Stopped in for a late dinner and a few brews. The food and beers were pretty good but the service was terrible. We sat in the bar area which I would not recommend as service was extremely slow. Our server took an above average time to take our drink orders and when we were not ready to order food when she returned with our beers we did not see here again for over 15 minutes. By the time she returned to take our order I had already finished by 1st beer. We would have left but my wife hadnt finished hers yet and by that time most other restaurants in the area were closed and we specifically chose upstream because it was a brewery. I ordered another beer before my 2nd was empty in the hopes of having it brought out sooner than before because I ordered the picante pizza which had a good kick to it. Shortly after I finished my beer the waitress came and asked which beer I ordered because she forgot to put it in. By this time I was almost done with my meal. The server apologized repeatedly throughout the meal for getting tied up with other things. We also heard her consistently apologizing to the other tables in our area for similar issues. On top of the slow service the food runner who brought out our food handed me the plate that the pizza was on. The plate was still extremely hot and he did not warn me of this. I would like to think we just hit an off night for service but if we ever visit Omaha again we will definetly not be making a return visit and I would recommend being cautious of stopping here...especially sitting in the bar area.

Our server wasnt very keen on what was going on. 3 out of 4 of us ordered a flight. 2 of us ordered flight of 4. That was fine. One of us ordered the 12 flight. She wasnt told they were out of 3 of the beers so she was only brought 9. She asked to comp the price to $9 instead of $12. Our server didnt even respond to that. We werent super impressed with any of the beers except the wheat one and were and craft brew kind of crew. One of the orders was wrong, but that was fixed within in a few minutes. The burgers were sub-par. The buns arent toasted or anything, just a plain white bun. There wasnt a lot of flavor in the burgers themselves either. The fries were average, better than the burger at least. 2 people got pasta and they said it was about average. It wasnt really worth the price, in my opinion. I expected a little better quality. The atmosphere was spot on though. Very cool looking. We made our reservation and got seated exactly on time on a Saturday night. When we got our bill, the flight of 12 wasnt comped so we flagged a guy down and said that was no problem but did the math wrong and still overcharged. We wont be going back and wouldnt recommend it.

Went for dinner right after a Creighton game let out, so the place was hopping from that and a wedding party. The hostess found us a table and got us in right away, however, which was a plus. The fried pickle appetizer was tasty, and came out very quickly after ordering. Where the appetizer was fast, the entrees were slow to arrive. The first piece of Italian pizza thin crust was edible (although the sausage had no taste and seemed like a chopped up, pre-cooked product), but subsequent pieces started falling apart once the juices started soaking into the crust. Ended up taking half of it home and letting it "dry out" a bit as leftovers. Fish & chips were very bread heavy and a bit soggy. The cucumber salad that came with might have been the highlight of that plate. And, beer! Upstreams flagship IPA was, well, dull. I couldnt wrap my taste buds around it--its possible I paired it with foods that didnt highlight the personality of the brew.
