Extremely disappointed in the customer service attitude of managers Jason and Brent!! My boss and his wife have been very loyal customers of this location, usually going at least once a week. When my boss offered to buy lunch for the office from The Shack today, we called and asked that one persons lunch be cooked completely separate from shell fish preparation due to an allergy. They assured us they could accommodate our request. Just a few minutes after my co-worker began eating her chicken salad, she started experiencing symptoms of a severe allergic reaction! Thankfully, after medical intervention she is beginning to feel better. When my boss contacted The Shack regarding this issue, she was treated rudely by Jason and Brent, no apology, no offer of compensation, no sense of concern for the well being of this young girl, NOTHING! Shame on you SHACK, you lost very loyal customers today!!!

The first time I went here I got the seafood jumbalya. It was pretty good, not great but not bad either. It seemed too expensive for what it was worth though. My husband and I decided to give it another try for a late lunch several months later. I had the fish tacos and he had the battered fish special. Both had no flavor at all. My husband had to drench his fish in malt vinegar to give it taste. The waitress didnt even know what malt vinegar was until I explained to her what it looked like. She then spilt the vinegar on herself and told us that she would be right back with more. She then promptly forgot. At 3 in the afternoon we were one of only three tables she was serving at the time, so no she wasnt busy. We both had bad bathroom experiences once we got home.

Its horrible to see all these bad google reviews. Google reviews tend to be less well viewed than other sites, like Yelp, so you always only ever get people who were irate about their service and stuff. For more accurate reviews on The Shack, go to urbanspoon or yelp. I had a great time and a great meal. Im about to go have another. Ill drop in for an update afterward. Its sad that more of the good reviews didnt actually bother to type anything! Lots of people love The Shack, and it is indeed, very good cajun food. Which is a lot, coming from a cajun girl. Okay? Okay.

Oh my goodness. Ive been here before & got the crab cakes & loved them. Tonight, however, they served us crab cakes that had gone bad AND to make it worse, werent fully cooked. One bite & i went running for the bathroom. Then the manager actually charged us for the catfish they brought us instead of the crab cakes (neither one of us could keep anything down at that point) AND WANTED TO ARGUE WITH US about the bill !!!!!! Unbelievable.

I ordered the Oyster Remoulade and The Shack Grilled Seafood Platter. The food here is so salty that it detracts from the experience of eating seafood to begin with. I wasnt even able to finish my catfish because it was comparable to overly salted fries from a fast food restaurant. Considering the pricing on top of this, Im surprised people eat here on a continual basis. There are better places for less.

We had a small crawfish/shrimp boil catered by "The Shack" this evening and couldnt be happier. Tarah who made all the arrangements was a delight to work with and meet. Jorge who headed up the cooking staff was friendly and did an excellent job job preparing the food. We had stuffed mushroom as an appetizers which were amazing. Dont hesitate to call them for catering ...they do a fantastic job.

This place is pretty good, but the seafood seems to be hit, or miss lately. The big redeeming factor for this place is their cream gravy. If you order the chicken fried chicken, then you will realize that everything on the plate is basically a vessel to transport the gravy. The staff is very friendly here, but the restaurant could definitely benefit from a little more quality control.

I ordered the King Crab boil and it was the worst thing I have ever had. There was barely any crab in there... simply a ton of potatoes and corn. I asked for the boil to not be too spicy and of course they didnt get that right either. Have called and asked to speak to the manager, to no avail. Dont waste $70 dollars of your money on this place. I do not recommend it. Awful.

Unreal, the bartender and her (look at me, I think im special in my fadora hat and cottage cheese thighs) arrogant, could care less about the customer additude. Texting on her phone, and talking to her friends def took place of any customer service. First and last time there, to bad the food was half decent.

The crawfish bisque was simply one of the best dishes Ive ever had. The food was absolutely amazing, and while most of it was pretty pricy, it was still possible to order great tasting food without spending 30$ on one person. My only complaint was our waitress was awkward and unsure of what she was doing.

The chicken jambalaya was excellent and I highly recommend the fried jalapeños. The dish normally comes with fried pickles too but I requested all peppers. The four star rating is due to slow service. Service was not bad but any means, but drink refills and table touches were not prompt or regular.

Well, I cant think of any place in the metro that does red beans and rice better, or gumbo, or jambalaya. They have seafood, oysters, crawfish, and just can you say YUM? I went here for a friends birthday last December, and I keep going back because I crave it. Their sausage links are perfection.

Usually good food. Went at 11:00 for brunch. Soggy hash browns, soggy crab cakes with over cooked eggs and barely any hollandaise. Vegetable oil substitute butter in a seafood restaurant! Seriously?!?! Will not go back during the day. Fish tacos only from now on.

Great food and service. You get to keep the cups! Cant go wrong on the cajun battered fried shrimp and crawdads. Yum. After eating everything on my plate, I started watching others eating. Honestly, I found that everyone enjoyed the food that they were getting.

This place has a really nice menu selection. A friend invited me hear and we have been back twice working through the menu. Funky, offbeat location, but seems to stay busy. Huge fan of the chicken fried chicken power lunch menu offering.

Terrible customer service. Waitress is more worried about the older couple beind us, im guessing to get a tip. I usually leave a tip but not this time. My 2 star review is only for the chef and the good food. Customer service is a joke.
