I was not impressed. For starters I tried to order the daily special tap beer, and it was out. Then I tried to order another of the four beers listed as draft and was told it was only in bottles. So I just got a bottle. We had the crab and lobster fondue appetizer. It was like runny cheese soup. It was not appetizing at all. I ordered etoufee. It tasted wrong. It was like it had chemicals in it. It was absolutely awful. The waiter apologized and promptly brought me the special, fried cod, to replace it. This tasted okay, not great, just okay, but the cod was very tough and rubbery. I was not impressed with this either. I sampled my wifes crab sampler. It was also quite unimpressive. Really the only food that was decent was the french fries. On the plus side the atmosphere is great. It is quite and relaxed with a cool patio and interesting decorations. Our waiter also was excellent. He did a great job, but unfortunately mediocre to awful food makes the experience below par.

My husband and I just went and ate there. Ordered the fried catfish. Very disappointing. Too much seasoning. About 1/8 of an inch of seasoning. And the catfish didnt taste right either. The waiter (who was wonderful) asked how everything was. We told his about the catfish and we only ate a couple bites and just lost our appetite. He went and talked to his manager and she wanted us to pay for 1 meal, again we only ate a couple bites. We asked to talk to her she came over after a good 20-30 min of waiting and I politely explained our situation and offered to pay for everything but the catfish as that was all we were disappointed with and she didnt let me finish said "fine Ill take it off" and rolled her eyes and she walked off. Again the waiter was wonderful very polite and we still gave him a full tip of what the meal would have cost but Im very disappointed in the way management handled this.

Nice little space. However when I went i asked for a description of all the seasonings that you could choose from, being that Im from coastal place I know my seafood when it comes to seasonings. The waiter told me kitchen sink for the shrimp boil I had was the saltiest and he didnt recommend it..i asked how about the Cajun seasoning he said that it had a little kick to it, but wasnt salty so thats what I went with. Well when i received my food it looked great, but when I went to eat it..there was so much salt on it that i had to drink so much water to get the taste out my mouth. I tried to CONTUINE eating it,but I could not, which was a disappointment.

Nice atmosphere but the food was mediocre. I ordered the lunch special, fried shrimp poboy with a bowl of gumbo. I ended up with two fried shrimp tails and a piece of shrimp with shell fragments still on in my sandwich. I ate one tail before realizing and had to spit it out on my plate. Not pleasant. Gumbo had a salty bitter taste. Looked like dirty mud water. Couldnt finish the bowl. The chips wouldve been great but were way overseasoned. My tongue is still burning from all the salt. I was really excited to try the place because my family love seafood but ended up disappointed.

This has always been on or short list of worthwhile restaurants, and we were thrilled when it reopened after the fire. its quality is good as it was before the fire. we will continue to go here because is one of our favorite stops, and this is my first small complaint after 10 plus visits. we asked if they could make the fried green beans like they used to make and were told yes. we got a basket of about 15 of them and were charged 8.99. we will give them a another chance because we love it there, but we should have been told the price and portion size.

We have eaten at The Shack located in Norman.several times with very good experiences. Last night ate at The Shack location on 62nd and was very disappointed! The food was terrible! My food was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for quite awile. The service was very lacking too. The restaurant wasnt very busy and the waiters stood around talking. Had to flag him down to get drink refills. We wont be visiting this restaurant again.

Salty, 3 little shripms and no rice on a gumbo, called the manager and told me that a Gumbo is a " thin" soup. Seafood Jambalaya had no taste. For the food this place is overpriced. a friend that ate at the memorial @ may location recomended to me I guess that the 62nd st locations is not as good. Wont eat here again. Oh almost forgot I was told to pick up my order in 10 minutes it was actually 25 ominutes.

I have eaten here about 3-4x its a nice restaurant hidden from the roads. Food is good and during happy hours appetizers are half off. Fried crawfish tails was great. Chicken & Sausage gumbo was outstanding....loved the broth or as some would say brown gravy. The steam pot with snow crab was okay. Ordered the Cajun and it was way over-seasoned. Service is somewhat slow as well.

Loved the atmosphere! My husband dish was great, but I ordered the seafood gumbo and it tasted like dirty water with bits and pieces of shrimp and crab meat. NO VEGETABLES AT ALL!!! Who makes a Gumbo without the vegetables???? Then I woke up puking all night. This was my 4th time to eat here, the other 3 times were great, but this was terrible!!

Visit here every time we come up to OKC. Love the boiled platters! I always get the crab with the Cajun seasoning. Husband says the crawfish are to die for, he tried the kitchen sink heat one time and didnt fare so well haha, so if you like a little heat, stick with the Cajun heat! Atmosphere is great & they have some great happy hour specials!

Service was good. After reading the long story on the front of the menu I thought the food would be great, I was wrong. Being from south Louisiana this was no good. I ordered the fried shrimp and crawfish, tasted terrible and all was not seasoned the slightest bit. Would not recommend if your from Louisiana.

Sat at the bar to get in and out. However I had to wait while the bartender finished their meal two stools down from me. After I get my food and sat their with a empty plate and glass I had to wait for her to finish her drink and conversation to get my check. Save your money

This is my favorite seafood-cajun-creole place in the area. Love the crab bisque, jambalaya, crab cakes, blackened catfish, oyster po-boys, red beans and rice, man the list goes on! I like the food better than Trappers and Pearls. By the way, the service is top notch.
