Decided to spend my Thursday night at the Copper Penny with a friend. Sat down at the tiki bar and after five minutes of being unattended to, the bartender informed us that they were closing down and we could get a beer from the inside bar instead. We moved to the inside bar and sat there for just as long as before with no service nor being acknowledged. Both bartenders were counting down their drawers at 10 past midnight when they close at 1 instead of serving us. As we decided that since they didnt want our service we were going to leave, we walk out to find one of the bartenders making out with a customer. None of the workers acknowledged the fact that we left. We will never come back to this place again. Unprofessional staff and no service.

I have been going to this place for over 20 years. It has always been a favorite of mine. The food and atmosphere has always been good and remains good. However, I have been there 3-4 times since the water has been low, and the service is terrible. I dont blame the waitresses because they are always friendly. Over an hour and a half to get appetizers and it takes over 20 minutes to get a semi cold beer. It appears the owner or manager cuts cost by not having an adequate amount of employees to serve, cook, and keep the coolers stocked. With the cut in business, I would think the owner would do what ever it took to show the loyal customers his appreciation for keeping him afloat.

We came to the copper penny by boat the first time and it is the only way we will ever go there. The pizza is pretty good, the onion rings are awesome, they have a buoy burger that looks like a food eating contest object.... Im at pains to specifically describe why the Penny is my lake bar of choice....its all things at once...the atmosphere, the chill environment, the great people there... Go near sundown... get a drink special.... and just chill.

I went here by motorcycle. Ive only been here once, it was during the summer and recieved great service! The food was amazing! We ate on the patio the only problem was I was greeted by a water snake haha but that happens when your right on the lake! I look forward to going back agian soon :)

Awful. Dont waste your time or money if you are going here for "Casual Dining" or even bar food it sucks and service sucks too. $35 for 5 small wings, 4 small potato skins, 3 cans of sprite, a chix pieces wrap, and a grilled chix breast that was terrible.

Pizzas are overflowing, sanwiches are absolutely huge, and the happy-hour prices are great! Plus the additional bonus of their positive stance on beer-can pyramids is fun!!!
