The Ybor Grill in Apollo Beach will always be one of my favorite places to eat. I try and make it here at least once a month, because the sheer amount of choices on the menu is huge, and I am still trying to try almost everything on the menu. This main focus of this restaurant is Cuban food, but there are many other items on the menu if Cuban isnt your main choice of food. If your new to Cuban food, I highly recommend the Ybor Sampler. It comes with the slow simmered port (which is to die for), Ropa Vieja (shredded beef simmer in a killer sauce), and Picadilo (ground beef with peas in a very flavorful sauce). The combo is served with your choice of two sides. It is almost impossible to pick a side, as they are all outstanding. The "Spanish Potatoes" are actually homemade potato chips and they are awesome. They have some of the best friend plantains I have ever had, and the garlic mashed potatoes are good, but could us a little more garlic for my taste. The one hint I will give you is that the Grouper Sandwich is NOT good here. The fish almost has a "frozen" taste on it, and the cheddar cheese that they put on top just doesnt go well with the fish. This is the ONLY dish I have ever had here that wasnt good. On the other hand the Cuban Sandwich was awesome. The meatloaf (either sandwich, or dinner platter) is amazing. Even the grilled chicken sandwich was amazing. The servers here are always attentive, and friendly. The food comes out quick, hot, and fresh. The atmosphere here is great, and the decor is really fun. The only negative is that due to the layout of the dining area, it can be noisy and hard to hear people if your in a large group.

This is a GOOD restaurant to stop by for a casual dinner. The only problem is that you should check your food temperature immediately as it is served. Too often, the wait staff will bring your food out after letting it sit for too long. The food is good but their delay in serving happens too often for me. Prices are good, and the atmosphere is good, but I have sent several meals back because of this over the past year.

A nice informal restaurant, Cuban inspired food, with very tasty and generous portions at mid range prices. Polite staff. The only problem was that it closes at 8:30 p.m and we ate in a hurry. The waitress, although trying to keep cool, was a little impatient because we arrived a 8:00 due to rain. We couldnt hurry our 89 year old veteran! We couldnt try the deserts or Cuban coffee. Otherwise it was nice.

We do mostly take out... But their food is AMAZING! Authentic Cuban food. Our faves are: Cubans & devil crabs Roja pork, yellow rice & black beans. Mamas meatloaf Omg! Delicious. Bobby, the owner is a great guy & the staff & servers are wonderful. They catered our sons wedding reception & the guests raved!! We are so lucky to have real Cuban food, right here in Ruskin!!!

I love this place, especially since they moved to 19th Ave NE across from McDs. The new place is so much brighter and more vibrint. They now have a full bar, and the food is as good as ever. I love the Lucheon Asida(sp?) and I just had their sandwhich made from the same slow roasted pork. OMG, its awesome!! Especially with the side of au jus. I dont go here often enough.

There for early lunch, had devil crab, picadillo bowl, which includes black beans and white rice plantains and picadillo, crab was great, plenty of crab meat,good size also took home a Cuban sandwich, which was great plenty of meat on real cuban bread, to drink sweet tea, it was perfect!, server was attentive and nice. Will be my go to Cuban food restaraunt.

Took the wife there for her birthday. It was her first time there. We had a wonderful meal, and I recommend a shot of Cabo Wabo. Its way better than Patron. Angie was our server and she was spot on and not over bearing. Her food suggestions were spot on and all in all it has now become my wifes and I spot!

Chicken was dry. The waitress seemed uninterested if we were enjoying our food or not. Mojito was decent as well as the yuca. Mediocre at best. I really wanted to enjoy the place, but the staff didnt seem to care much about our experience. A manager also seemed agrivated that we had young children with us.

It was just what we were looking for. Had luncheon special and meatloaf. Both were exceptionally tasty. We finished our wonderful lunch with a flan for dessert which also was vary good. Cece our waitress was very nice n informative. Would definitely return n highly recommend.

Sarah and Yvonne are awsome. Food is quick flavorful and fulfilling. Prices are good and service is outstanding. Eat later if you want to avoid the older crowd. It gets busy and every seat is filled. Definitely worth the pulled pork or picamillo.

We absoultely loved it! My girlfriend is from Miami so I surprised her with this gem! Great authentic Cuban food with a fun atmosphere! The music, setting and food was amazing! Very friendly staff and awesome bar! We definitely will be back!

Cuban was great ...yellow rice was nasty ...Service was Ok ... But I sat out side to watch my work truck being I have a lot of equipment on my truck and you cant smoke out side? Doesnt make much sense

There Cuban sandwiches are delicious! Plantains were good, cherry coke was awesome too, not to mention the fresh home made chips, wow. Good place to relax and eat without spending a fortune.

Decent place , ordered fish , pulled pork , lots of sides . Everything was a solid . Check with bottle of California wine was $63 plus tip , maybe a little more than i wanted to spend .
