Hello, I wanted to reach out to whomever this is applicable for regarding a local establishment in Sunbury Ohio. 11/8/2015 My party of three were attempting to dine at the Sunbury Grill AT 38 E Cherry st, Sunbury Ohio. While waiting for our food to be prepared I noticed several alarming practices. The main prep cook wore no gloves and i did not witness him wash his hands once in the 1 hr that we observed him. At one point he had raw egg on his hands from cracking eggs. flicked the raw egg off his finger onto the grill, then using his bare hand with raw egg on it, grabbed cooked bacon to stage on a plate and served it to a patron. He then proceeded into the back to grab more product. opening and closing the wooden door that divides their establishment and heading directly back to the grill to begin preping what infact was our order. He proceeded to place a tortilla on the grill and place his bare hands on the tortilla and hold it to the grill to begin preparing my siblings breakfast burrito. I immediately went up to him to cancel out our order. There seems to be an Alarming lack of Knowledge regarding food safety practices particularly in the area of cross contamination of the food they are prepping. I am not one that generally blows whistles on small business nor one to cry wolf. I genuinely do have concern for the community This establishment is serving. If the Staff is willing to do these things in the publics view, it has raised concerns as to what may be happening else where with-in the business practice!

The Sunbury Grill is a staple of our weekend tradition. Fantastic service, excellent food, great atmosphere (Especially on OSU football game days with the banter from TSUN patrons). Have been coming for breakfast/lunch for close to 15 years. Often on the weekend in the morning the line is out the door, which (if I didnt know already) is a sign of GREAT food. Well worth the short wait while sitting on the bench outside enjoying the serene small town appeal of Sunbury and the public square. Stop by for breakfast or lunch and tell them Annie and Andrew said Hello, unless of course we are there and say hello to us as well! Its a great way to start your day!

The Sunbury Grill is a wonderful little hole-in-the-wall diner. I take visitors to eat here often. Eating at The Grill gives everyone a chance feel like theyre a part of a small town, and in one word- that is Welcome. Cassie and Kenny do a fantastic job making customers feel like you are a part of the family. Youre welcomed with a smile, and if you go too often, Cassie even has your order memorized. If you want a fancy meal, this may not be your place, but if you want some good food made by people who care, stop in at The Grill. The breakfast potatoes are AMAZING, and my partner lives for Kennys meatloaf.

Went to this place on a whim. Pretty busy at 0830 in the morning, thinned out some by the time I left. Ordered Biscuits and Gravy, crispy home fries and 2 eggs over medium. Everything came out perfect. Grilled biscuits with the gravy was unique and the best idea. Waitress was Cassie, she was the best, super personality and friendly with everyone. Super great experience, the ONLY downside to the experience was the guy sitting next to me was a Michigan Fan and wouldnt stop talking about how theyre going to whoop the Buckeyes ass. Some people live in a dream world. Again Super experience.

Just awful. Been there several times hoping it would change. Still C- food. Was asked to move one time from a high top in the bar after I had just ordered lunch - after asking 4 times for a waitress. They said I needed to move because "they had a paying customer" Waitress then came back and asked Did you need something hun ?- after I had ordered and gotten a coffee from the bar. This experience was similar all 3-5 trips. It should be hard to fail a business in this location

This is a great place to meet friends and enjoy breakfast regardless of the time of day. Their daily special is their hallmark menu item with eggs, hash browns, meat and toast. The waitresses are the best. They serve dinner only on Fridays, open at 6AM, close at 2:30 otherwise. If there is a line waiting to be seated...ask for a cup of coffee to keep you going. Sit at the counter and watch your meal being prepared. Chat up the cook, read the newspaper....welcome to Sunbury USA.

I absolutely love this place and eat here usually once a week! Cassie, Kenny and everybody else at the Sunbury Grill are amazing. They serve great food with a smile, even when they are overwhelmed by the numerous people standing waiting for a table every Sunday morning (thats how good this place is). I thank each one of you for the great job you do and I will keep coming back... Always!!!

Ok the number one reason I love Sunbury Grill is Cassie, she is the best server I have ever had, anywhere. Number two is the food, always fresh, and always good. And, the third reason is the atmosphere, its the quintessential small town diner. What can I say we love it so much we go at least once a week and usually more. P.S. the home fries are amazing!

Came here for breakfast this morning. Cute, local dinner with delicious food. My husband had an omelette and I had biscuits and gravy. Both were yummy. But what you dont want to miss out on is the grilled pecan roll....WOW. So good. You can get half portions of anything so remember that if you are like me and want to try everything.

Awesome little "hole in the wall". Servers were friendly and attentive even though they were crazy busy! Place has lots of character from the people to the little signs to the customers. Best reuben sandwich I ever had too!

Great local joint. Understand going in that this is a small town dinner. Its small, older, and youre going to wait a bit. That said, the food is excellent, service is great, prices reasonable, and full of friendly people.

Great little Sunbury diner. Food was good... I had a basic breakfast and it tasted like what we would make at home, not over the top or fancy. Love the small town atmosphere.
