GREAT FOOD; NICE PEOPLE; MUSIC TOO LOAD AT NIGHT; ALSO sometimes mthey let people play music during OHIO STATE FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL GAMES, and thats not good for the sports fan; They have not let people play music during BROWNS and most NFL games; Otherwise, THIS PLACE IS TOP GRADE, EVEN WITH THE OUT OF PLACE MUSIC, you can take your kids there before 8p and do fine; Buy they let the 20 somethings take over after 8, and its the girls who want most of that load dance music, but most of the young men would just as soon watch sports, until 11pm, or when THE BUCKS game is over and then party load and hard, In the daytime time this place for the most part is A+, THE BOSS MAN KEEPS THOSE GIRLS STRIAGHT, EXCEPT AT NIGHT THE GIRLS BECOME BOSS AND ALL THAT LOAD MUSIC GETS PLAYED WHILE THE GAMES ARE ON; Whatever, I still it there alot, and on Steruday or Sunday afternoons you will to; Just stay away or go someplace else when the BUCKS play a night game in football or basketball; FOOD IS THE BEST IN TOWN AND BEER IS COLD; THATS TOPS;

"Hometown Heroes Gathering Place" is an understatement. This place is amazing. Ive been in several times after moving here from down south. Everytime my wife and I have been in weve seen not only familiar faces but have had a great experience. It really gives new meaning to that small town atmosphere. The food is great, I recommend the "Cowboy Burger", its huge! My wife loves the salad with steak and blue cheese. We usually sit at the bar if there are open seats and although weve often been in there when its pretty busy, it seems like the staff goes out of their way to give everyone the great dining experience they came in for. I love dining out and I definitely love food. Joes is perfect for both and its right in our backyard. Highly recommend.

By Chuck R - Our party of 6 ate there on July 2, 2010 the service was extremely slow on the drinks and the food orders. Two in our party ordered their hamburgers; one was to be medium rare and the other was to be just pink on the inside. Both arrived very well done. The waitress agreed the food was not prepared as ordered and reordered them. The replacements arrived 20 minutes later cooked even more well done. The manager came out and looked at the burgers and agreed they were not cooked as ordered and said he would make it right. When our bill arrived we were charged for everything. The owner then came out and told us both orders had been cooked as ordered. Furthermore, he told us not to come back to his restaurant; and believe me we will not be back.

Ive heard many good things about Firehouse Tavern. Ordered to-go tonight with my wife, got 2 burgers and 2 battalion sides. Let me be frank, the burgers sucked. They were the biggest burgers I have ever had...too big. There was literally too much meat. I dont know if the seasoning on the meat just sucked or what but it just tastes like lousy ground round. There was so much meat that neither my wife nor I desired to come near finishing this burger. It really ruined the experience. The pork rinds and waffle fries were good, but the house chips were nothing special. If you enjoy your burger at a 99/1% ratio beef to bun and toppings, then you may like this place, we dont.

I love the buttermilk battered chicken tenders. They were yummy!! And the French fries were crunchy and had great seasoning. Didnt really love the peppered honey mustard. And my sister in law ordered the loaded potato balls, which turned out to be mini red potatoes covered with cheese and bacon. Not sure what I expected, but I wasnt too impressed. As far as the atmosphere, its very comfortable, although the music was a little too loud for a Sunday afternoon. I think they just forgot to turn it down from the night before. Overall, a very pleasant experience with enjoyable food. Cant wait to go back and try the burgers.

We went there last night. Their menu looked amazing and the couple we went with wwere pleased as well with the menu. The server however was just not with it all night. Our wings came with our dinner and when we asked about the missing nacho appetizer the server said that she saw them back there and could just warm them up for us. O no thanks on nachos that are probably soggy by now. I could go on and on about the disaster level of service from her but I wont fortunately the food was great!

The Firehouse Tavern in Sunbury has the best food of anyplace around. I stop in for dinner and drinks every time Im in town. The staff and patrons are very friendly and the food is amazing! Their corned beef reuben is by far the BEST reuben Ive ever had! I was in on Friday night and they had live music, also. If youre looking for a great place to go for dinner or just drinks with friends while you listen to music, this is THE place to go!

Very good atmosphere and great service. This place is decorated with firefighter memorabilia from all over the country. Also the food is very good as well. Ive only tried the appetizers but I liked everything I have ordered. My wife has a food allergy and they were very accommodating.

Hazmat burger was good. Huge. Never got a take home box for a burger before. BF said chicken noodle soup was best he ever had but plain Joe burger lacked flavor. But maybe that should be expected with a Plain Joe. Service was good. One man band was great.

The wings werent bad, but I asked for my burger to be cooked medium, and it was well done and not really very good. I felt that it was overpriced as well. With tip, $50 for a burger, a Reuben, a kids meal, and six wings.

GREAT hot wings, tasty waffle fries, and pretty good selection of burgers. Great hometown feel to this place every time I go. Service has always been good and they seem to take a lot of pride in their establishment.

Good food and friendly staff. We drive into Sunbury every month or to just to eat here. We love the chili and the cowboy burger, but have recently been sharing the mini burger meal with a bowl of chili each.

I go here a lot. Always local firefighters in there as other customers, makes for a great atmosphere. The live music is sometimes too loud on weekends, but the food is always great and makes up for it.
