Order two meals over the phone 30-40 mins before making it to the establishment. When arrived to pick it up, Alicia (thats the name she gave me, and said she was the manager of the establishment) asked me which was my order. I gave her my order and waited for approximately 25 mins. Then she asked me what my order was again. All the while I was staring at a bag sitting on the counter for the past 10 mins. Then she charges me for the order. My food was cold and even wrong. Bottom line I gave it back and she offered to remake it. I agreed to it because I didnt want to leave after waiting for over an hour. I then order an orchata since she was supposed to refund me 1.50, then she tells me she wont charge me any more for the drink. That really hit a nerve. I have had good experiences at this establishment in the past, but today this was down right insulting. They wont see much of us again. We asked to speak to the manager several times and she ignored it. Never even introduced herself as the manager at first. Very disappointed with this incident. Also she kept blaming the machine for freezing and not being able to charge me. Im just not sure what charging had to do with not knowing my order after giving it to her three times.

Literally the best food you will ever have in your entire life. I cannot believe there are bad reviews, these people must be talking about the wrong restaurant. I tell as many people as I possibly can about this place. They have a lunch buffet everyday from 11am to 2pm. Thats all Ive had but I have no doubt everything else is delicious. Its the classiest buffet there could possibly be and it should really be double the price it is. You can test the freshness of everything and they even have a sign letting you know your order takes longer because they make everything with quality and care. Eat here. If you are depressed or are questioning the meaning of your life eat here, because the pure bliss of the taste of their food is a good reason to keep on living. Just go here. Do not doubt it. The best Mexican restaurant in Toledo. Even over everyones beloved San Marcos. Staff is nice too, I could keep on going....but simply eating here will be the best decision you can make. DO IT.

Amazing authentic Mexican Food! They have a buffet. Most people love it. I dont care for most buffets. I think their buffet is put together fast. I found it very greasy. I think its better to order your meal and enjoy it-- it takes longer but tastes so much better. The Pineapple Don Charly* Tarasco style is my favorite!!! Their Salsa, Bean and cheese dip, Shrimp tacos, fish tacos, and Quesadilla, are good, as well! Note: They dont want you to take their Salsa home-- the open bottle of salsa at your table, even after you used it! In my opinion, they want you to buy it. Which, I dont have a problem buying it when I order my food to go. I dont like to waste food, and per the food code rules, they have to throw it away once you are done touching it, anyways. I find it very weird that they only want to give you one Very Very tiny salad dressing size plastic cup to take your unused Salas in. Why? Are they reusing it??

Cocina de Carlos wasnt bad but considering weve tried Mexican food at dozens of places across North America, this meal was by comparison entirely ordinary. We started with the guacamole dip which was tasty but with far too many onions. Next was the enchilada plate (our usual) and the Texas fajitas (steak, chicken and shrimp. The enchiladas werent accompanied by rice and beans as wed usually expect and the fajitas arrived without the customary sizzle and were in fact rather bland. A neighboring table had a child that was literally throwing food, but after they left the staff had the booth cleaned up in Indy 500 pitstop time! Kudos to them for that. Also credit for the fact that while bland, the fajita portions were rather generous.

Very surprised by this place! I dont normally go for Mexican food (outside chips, salsa, and margaritas), but the food here is excellent. Everything about it feels authentic and genuine, which is a great change from the usual chain Mexican restaurants that serve American-ized versions of everything. This isnt to say that Cocina de Carlos has an intimidating menu, but there are a lot of great options and Ive yet to have a meal I didnt enjoy. Plus they have daily specials, and these deals especially cant be beat. If youre in the area and looking for some great Mexican food, Id recommend Cocina de Carlos, with Te-kela as a close second.

I dont even want to write a good review because I dont want a longer wait to get in there. Been in the restaurant business 35 years owned two restaurants so believe me when I tell you that this is the best Mexican Restaurant Ive ate in outside of Mexico. I believe the bad reviews are people that also dont want to wait. Oh and I am cheap and know food cost but dont mind paying for quality. It drives me nuts to pay 10 bucks for some dried out rice, unseasoned beans, some iceberg lettuce and a dab of sour cream. Unless you have the money to fly to Mexico to eat then there is no where better in this region.

Possibly one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Toledo area. Love the salsa that is served at the table while you wait for your food or if you decide to eat from the buffet. The salsa isnt a chunky salsa, it is smoother, which is what i prefer, have only had the pork quesadilla, the pork was juicy and tender; and a few items from the buffet, such as a cheese quesadilla and what seemed to be a cinnamon apple churro. Both were really good. Highly recommended to visit it and possibly be prepared to fall in love with the restaurant.

Great Mexican food, best Ive had in the Perrysburg area. Reasonable prices. Chips and salsa are excellent. Big menu so theres something for everyone. My partner is gluten-free and almost everything on the menu is OK for her. Beer selection is decent if you dont mind bottles. Never tried the margaritas but others have said theyre good. Service is always satisfactory and theres never a long wait for food. If you like Mexican food, check out Cucina de Carlos.

Terrible! After overlooking that our waiter hadnt realized that he didnt turn our order in for over 45 minutes, we were still in good spirits, that is until our food arrived. Stay away unless you you have no teeth and like everything in a blender. Terrible mushy food. The other reviews must be shills hired by the restaurant. This place is no different than the other one that theyve owned and that one didnt last very long for the same reasons.

The lunch buffet after church is great. They have a great selection of food too such as fajitas, guacamole, tacos, quesadilla, taco salad, etc. great items and the combinations are endless since you make it how you want. For dessert they have flan and apple wraps covered in cinnamon and sugar. For drinks we like a pitcher of horchata. This place is nice for groups too. If you get there on Sunday at 11 when they open its not busy.
