Heartless people. Calling the cops on a homeless man that was minding his own business and drinking a soda that someone had given him money for and then someone gave him some tacos that they had bought for him.. The bartender tried to take the tacos away from him that they person had bought for him and the person that bought them had to go get them back from the nasty rude bartender and gave them to the homeless man that was escorted off the property.. I think the cops should be checking to see if the employees of this place are illegal aliens from a different country that shouldnt be here and stop messing with a homeless man that was not bothering anybody and that was eating and drinking his soda that people had given to him.. I will never support this place..

Our waiter was awesome. He dealt with a party of 16 including 2 infants and 1 child. We were over the top, changing orders etc. He handled it very smoothly. The three rating was for the food itself, the waiter gets a 5+. The queso dip and salsa were excellent. My seafood enchilada and chimichanga had burnt crispy things inside and it was way too salty and I love salt, but it was too much. It was comped on my bill, which surprised me. Inspite of my meal, I tipped our waiter 25% ot my total because his service was extremely good. The rice was also excellent. I would definitely return but order something different. Everyone else in the party was pleased with their selection.

Was there last night and not happy at all! The man passing out the chips and salsa was annoyed that we didnt want to sit on wet seats and at a wet table. We didnt ask anyone to dry it, we did it ourselves. His response was to slam the salsa on the table , roll his eyes and proceed to fan the table while glaring at me. Then when we got out meals, my carne asada was fine but my friends nachos surprise had dry meat that had an odd taste. When she told the waiter, his expression was odd! The good thing was they removed it from the bill. I dont think Ill be going back there. Too many other good restaurants in the area that offer service with a smile.

What can I say!? Pablo and his crew have raised the bar in service, value and GREAT FOOD! I eat here 2-3 per week. I have tried everything on the menu and have NEVER been let down!! The menu is constantly changing, adding new dishes and updating the classics! One thing you dont see is high prices or a bad experience. The drinks are always flowing, the food is always hot, the service impeccable and the atmosphere superb! Not only will you find the BEST Mexican food around, you will find the BEST overall restaurant experience youve ever had!! WAY TO GO PABLO AND CREW!!!

First let me address the reviewer below me stating the sanitation was questionable in the kitchen.. What did they take you on a tour? Give me a break. Everyone gets sick sometimes. I have eaten there more than 50 times and have never been sick so not sure what that tells you. Plus they are the only restaurant to last more than a week there. Anyways, back to the food.. It is outstanding. I have tried alot on their menu and havent been disappointed once. The service is second to none. Probably the best in the area, by far. One of my favs

Horrible service. Will never step foot in this restaurant ever again. When I asked to talk to the manager, she had a horrible attitude about being short staffed. She had been standing by the 2 hostesses talking for the last hour we had been waiting for service. Just standing around doing nothing. A good manager should help if they are short staffed. She just didnt care that service is horrible. Food was ok.

Everything, absolutely everything about El Jalapeno is fantastic. The food is delicious, portions are huge, drinks are amazing, service is top notch, atmosphere is inviting and fun, prices are incredibly low for everything about this place. It is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the area! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

Great place for Mexican food. Service has seemed to drop off recently though and cant really place my finger on the cause. A recent visit caused me to leave when they didnt have water in the restaurant due to a city main break. Nothing they could have done about it, but cleanliness at the time made me decide to eat elsewhere that day.

One of the best resturaunts ive ever been in.... Im a taco bell kinda mexican guy... This changed everything!!! My family and I are in there so much Pablo knows us by name :) great, hot, fast, great priced food, friendly service, authentic and most improtantly.... AMAZING!!!!!!! :D love it PS i get to watch soccer :)

This place is fantastic. Service is so fast, its as if they are bringing your order out before you even tell them. Everyone is super friendly. Food is very good and generous servings. The kids feel right at home and lots of TVs with soccer usually playing. Couldnt ask for a better experience.

Food isnt bad but service is terrible, servers are usually friendly but they either need a bigger staff or a better way to keep track of peoples orders, almost Everytime Ive been there something about or order was wrong, sometimes having to send things back multiple times before getting fixed.

The best Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. I have tried about 20 different restaurants in 6 states and this is my favorite. Food is great plus they have a little more variety than most places. If you like hot and spicy then ask for the hot salsa. Its not on the menu but it is fantastic.

Unfortunately I understand the popularity of this place. Salty, overcheesed, and large portions. The water tastes like sewer, the temperature inside must have been 50 degrees, and our waiter was on speed. Not recommended; as far from authentic Mexican food as you can get.

The food and service was great. The decorations added character to that great restaurant. The only complaint I have is the loud music. I had to yell over the loud mexican music to talk to my family. The music would be great in the background, but please turn it down!

Love this place..salsa has great flavor and a lil kick, the fajitas are huge and have tons of taste not bland like most Mexican restaurants. The service is great and friendly and price is comparable to most places, restaurant is clean and nicely decorated.

So sad, came back from Columbus to have lunch here & dont remember the food being so terrible. The place was freezing & the food quality was not good. Soggy taco bowl...hardly any sauce. The best thing about the visit was the chips and salsa and my water.

Best Mexican food around. No question. The Quesadilla Fajitas are my favorite! Very friendly staff for the most part. We have come here dozens of times only only had issues with service once or twice. Always my choice when getting Mexican food.

I go to El Jalapeno II is Austintown as it is closer to my home. AMAZING authentic Mexican food! Simply THE BEST! Service is always amazing, I ask for Juan everytime I go in. I never have to ask for refills or anything. A++
