I think this site was a Bennigans when we moved to the area 14 years ago, & quite a few other restaurants have come thru this buildings & left, but El Paso might be here to stay... The rennovations to the interior are nice, & the seating is comfortable, lots of roomy booths.. Service is fast & has always been very friendly...sound levels at peak service are festive. The food is good, too. The Tex Mex menu is expansive, with possibly too many choices.. You can certainly customize your order to your particular taste.. Every time weve been there, there are people getting fajitas, they are very popular.. Ive never tried them (the Chile Rellenos are bueno) but lots of other people enjoy them. The complimentary black bean dip that comes with the salsa & chips is not your typical bean dip, its really delicious & everyone loves it, so it goes fast, but a second serving is not free..which is fair enough...The combination platters are often huge & servings are generous, some taking multiple plates to serve, so you should not leave here hungry.. The prices are fair & the food very good, well seasoned & prepared.. There is a bar with frozen margaritas & lots of domestic & imported beer.. There was a mariachi band there one evening that gave things a nice authentic feel.. El Paso is a good addition to the area, certainly the best restaurant to occupy that space.. please support them so theyll stay! Youll get good food for a fair price & Sanford will have a decent Mexican place to enjoy...

Highly disappointed. I went with my mom during the soft opening. The food really tasted off. (Everything tasted like tomato sauce) Well last night my husband wanted mexican food and we decided to give it a try to see if the food was better than when my mom and I went. Sadly it was not. We had two side salads with old shredded wilted lettuce. As we stuck our fork in the salad to eat the fajitas came out. (the waitress laughed and said she didnt know they would come out so fast). The fajita hot plate was ok. The topping plate was a disaster. The sour cream and guacamole covered all the lettuce and the beans ran under the other side of the lettuce. I personally will not go back to the Sanford location. Two strikes was enough for me.

This was our first experience and will be our last. Service was ok but the server has too many tables and we made it through our basket of chips with no napkins. My husband ordered the chicken quesadillas. The photo on the menu showed a good portion however when it came to the table it was 4 small triangle pieces with hardly any food inside. Very skimpy. I ordered the chicken fajitas for 13.95 and they came with this little plate of rice and beans and no cheese. Not impressed and a terrible value for the money. Do yourself a favor and pick another Mexican restaurant. ( this is my first restaurant review- I felt strongly enough to spend time signing in to google to do this)

Was very uo set with the manager and waitress. Went and order food.i ask gor water bever came then i ask for soda by the rime she cameback for a refill we were done.had leftover put on a box i walked out and i member i forgot not even 3 min .went and ask if they put it to the side manager went and check saud nothing.manager asked waitress said she did not see anything.so the manager ask me to chech my car u must of taken it.she basically called me a liar.did not apologise or anything. I will never go back there.this was my frist visit and my last shame on them. If rgere could be a 0 this would be what they get.very upset

Off we go to try this new restaurant. While waiting for our drink order of 1 soft drink and 1 margarita chips were brought around. We started snacking on the chips, and out runs a cockroach from the basket and across the table it went. Obviously, we did not want to order any food here and asked for bill to pay for the drinks. The waitress said the kitchen did not clean the baskets well. She gave us the bill for the drinks and we paidvand left. You would think they wouldnt charge us for the drinks after our experience, but she patiently waited for our money. We will never attempt to eat here again. So gross!!

Helpful, friendly staff, great food. A must try is the shrimp ceviche. They have other ceviche but I cant stop ordering the shrimp. Just delicious. Quality of the food is excellent as well. I spoke with the manager who explained they dont buy farmed seafood. Love that. Tacos were also really good. Priced just right. Not too expensive at all. Portion sizes are large. I passed this place a million times thinking it was just another Mexican place. If youve done this too, you need to stop. You wont regret it.

Waited 15 minutes at my table patiently for my waiter, only to be ignored. Never asked if I wanted a drink. Grew impatient so my party walked over to the bar expecting to get better service. We sat in front of the bar tender who then immediately moved. Another 6-7,minutes at the bar... A miracle a waitress places chips and salsa, then she immediately walked away without saying a word. Italian sounded allot better so we left and took our business where it would be appreciated.

First time visit and last time visit. This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have tried, we left our food. I am Mexican. The chicken on my tacos had no flavor, the fajitas my husband order came with raw onions only no peppers as their menu mentions, and absolutely no flavor. The salsa had a strong cumin smell and the bean taste bad. The 1 rating is for the tortillas chips. I would absolutely would not recommend this establishment to my friends or will return.

The food was good, the server was attentive and helpful. The tamales are not authentic Mexican tamales. They are a Tex Mex version but not bad. The tacos are the same but the ground beef had no seasoning. The main fajita like steak plate was good but this dish surprisingly came with no tortillas. Its enough to fill you up but its expensive and I wouldnt call this authentic Mexican. It doesnt mean its bad, the food sill tastes good if you like Tex Mex.

The service here was absolutely horrible! The food was horrendous and was not at all authentic Mexican food. When we complained about the food the waitress only gave us an attitude. Also when we complained about the service to the manager she said she had sent all her waiters home because the restaurant had been slow all day. The food is overpriced and horrible. We will not be returning to this place.
