We arrived at the restaurant to find it basically empty, with only one employee inside. Even though the website says that they open for dinner at 5:30, she told us they werent taking orders until 6:30. She had us wait outside. At about 6:25, we popped inside to see if we could get a table and at least start looking at a menu, only to be told that they were only serving one dish that day??? She said they were only serving Biryani, nothing else... Why have us wait outside if you couldnt actually take our orders?? SO inconsiderate. We drove 25 minutes because we thought it might be a cool spot to check out, but clearly its VERY poorly run, wont bother going back. Skip the headache and go 5 minutes north, we found a little place called Dakshin that was phenomenal, so at least something good came out of the encounter...

I have mixed feelings about our experience tonight. The restaurant is very clean & attractive. I dont know if the young man who served us did not speak English well or was not experienced. My sister asked for clarification of a menu item and never got a clear answer. She asked for her dish to be mild to medium spicy but it was very spicy. I ordered the goat biriyani medium spicy. It was not spicy at all, had little flavor, and the goat, what little there was of it, was extremely tough. My brother-in-law was happy with his chicken dish. The server refilled our water several times but never once asked if we were happy with our food or if we needed anything else. While we ate there was a steady stream of Indian people picking up carry-out, so the food must have a good reputation.

Excellent Thursday Evening Vegetarian Buffet (If you like frozen food)!!!!! Wow! what a sham! I have been to the buffet a couple of times. I was fooled the first time as the items looked freshly prepared and tasted okay. The truth was laid bare right before my eyes the next time as I saw "shriveled" food on the buffet, an outcome of microwaving frozen items. A majority of the 20+ items (except maybe rice dishes) appear to be frozen/re-heated ones. To make matters worse, the waitress and waiter have a hostile demeanor towards Indians but they they do pander to the "locals". The waiter even questioned me when I asked for a copy of my receipt! Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy frozen meals :)

I have been visited this place twice both the times i have the worst experience, the service is the worst ever I experienced till date may be i will never even find anything near to them, when comes to food I ordered HALEEM they served me some kind of meat and made it look and taste like haleem but they failed, chicken biriyani the only besy part is the rice which looked good and even tasted good but here comes the chicken piece NO actually its chicken bone I wonder where the flesh went . If you have no other option than this place you better drive to a gas station and get some honey buns to survive but still you want to visit them its upto you.

Please avoid Persis Karaikkudi grill under the new management. We had been there for lunch buffet today and it was THE worst experience I have ever had at an indian restaurant thus far, hands down. This is also the first time I have had palak paneer that had been spoilt - yes it was not a samosa filling or a coconut chutney. Okra 65 was wet with oil, rather than being crispy. Unfortunately, they did not have anything other than the buffet either. Overall, it was a forgettable outing for us.

Food meets the expectations but when u go for buffet , the site says the shop closes by 3.00 pm but when u step in after 2.30 pm they are not refilling trays and whoever enters are given a note that "there will be no refill but u can check and take the tables if u need". If this is so then my suggestion would be at least they should announce their closing time as 2.30 instead 3.00 pm, everyones time is valuable I guess, not getting a note instead of food

Karaikudi menu is really good. Tried Celyon Parotla and Kuttu Parota along with Mutton Sukka dn Chetinaad chicken.Everything was so good. Service was also quick. We ordered an extra dish and it was a running order. Within minutes the dish was there. I hope they maintain this quality and service. Thanks for bringing another southern cuisine to Columbus.I hope they add Bunn Parotta to their menu :-)

We met up with some friends here after a five hour drive. The kids were super fussy, so we decided to get our order to go. The staff seemed reluctant to let us take it to go, but the food was delicious. Nice and spicy, and the naan was very fluffy and delicious. There wasnt a ton of rice with our order though, so well need to make more of our own in order to finish the leftovers.

Too much spicy food even if you order mild. These guys dont know how to cook Rasam. It was full of boiled tomatoes with too much red chilly.Kadai Paneer was prepared with gravy of another dish.Paneer was frozen and tasted like ready made kadai Paneer available in grocery stores..bad experience..paid for frozen items..better to buy frozen instead of going this place.

I went here for dinner on a Sunday after it was recommended by a friend. I had a very disappointing experience with their food. The flavor was ok but the food was not fresh, expect the grill dish we ordered. It was way spicy than what we asked for. The waiter seemed to care less when I informed him. Not planning to go back again :(

This is easily the best Indian restaurant in Columbus. The sign outside says "Chutnys" but the menu says Persis so dont get confused. Really amazing Sunday brunch and is very vegetarian-friendly! The paneer tikka masala, paneer butter masala, veggie korma, veggie biryani, malai kofta, and bagara baingan are all stellar!

I visited Persis Karaikudi on Sunday for the lunch buffet and it was delicious! The food is amazing and the service is even better if thats possible. The food had just the right amount of spice and was so tasty! Sharmin and Jacob are very hospitable and make you feel so welcome. I cant wait to go back again!

Not a good place for vegetarians. Nan(bread) was very hard. There was no green chutney for veg starters. ------updated to 3 stars ----- I had been there again with friends and the veg. Starters were good. I didnt bother to try the main course at all

08.25.2017. We tried Masala Dosa which was crispy and big and Veg Biryani at Spicy Level. It was too spicy may be we should have ordered Medium but it was full of flavors. When we were there only 2 tables were occupied so we had no service issues.

We 7 people had a lunch buffet and we did not have the spoons available and water not served to our table. At the end of the buffet, they have added gratuity to 7 members even on a separate check. Bad experience even though we have a good food

Good food but Poor service. We had to wait for onion salad and chutney (Chili Dip) for 15-20 mins after the appetizer was served.we had to remind them thrice for the same. The chair was also dirty.
