This is the second time Ive been here. Usually one gets the buffet and likes it so much that she returns to eat dinner. Ever doing things backward, I had dinner (albeit takeout) then buffet. Both were fine, but not anything to write home about. This despite our Pakistani neighbor swearing by this restaurant. I suppose for most, this restaurant will do the trick. And, indeed, for someone as picky about her Indian food as she is, one would imagine that she would actually enjoy heat in her food. But, no, not this one! So Aab was about perfect for my level of desired hot. Semi-decent spicing, including fresh ginger, was evident. But maybe too much salt here. Or not enough cardamom here. Or, well, except for the palak paneer, something just seemed to be, well, missing. And, sadly, even the kheer was watery - and had barely a trace of fresh cardamom or rose water. (Granted, most kheer doesnt have rose water, but its just super nice when it does.) No gulub jumun, either. Plus, for the buffet, the naan is kept on the warming table, which didnt keep it warm and, furthermore, made the bread a bit chewy. (When ordered to go, it seemed fine.) The veggie pakora were cold and were rectangular objects with few veggies. The other dishes, meh. And plus, though the mobile site told me the buffet was open til 3, it was only open til 2:30. The staff, especially my waitress, was pleasant. But I had to flag her down to get my mango lassi. So I continue my search and think of excuses to visit friends and family in the Seattle area in order to enjoy decent Indian.

I did a walk in take out. I ordered shrimp biryani mild, chicken curry medium and two nan bread. I sign my receipt, got my food and drove home (live 20 min away) I get home and they gave me chicken instead of shrimp. I call the restaurant, the lady said she misunderstood me when I asked for shrimp. Another person got in the phone and said the only way they would give me the shrimp biryani is if i drive there today and give them back the chicken.... i wouldnt mind if I lived 5 to ten minutes away. I explained to the guy how far I live and the inconceive to drive a total 40 minutes for a mistake that was made in their part. He said it was all he could do to correct the mistake. Huge inconvenience and bad customer service to inconvenience people when its not their fault a mistake was made.

The food isnt as good as the Grandview location. It isnt bad but not up to the same standards. The huge issue was the service. It was not busy yet the waiter took forever to greet us and get us the drinks we ordered. We only ordered soda so the drinks didnt need to be made at the bar. Our appetizer came out with our food as well. The appetizer was still hot so not sure if that was a problem with the waiter or if the kitchen isnt as organized as it needs to be to get food out in a timely manner. The restaurant was also not busy only two other tables and only one carry out order while we were there. Due to the poor service I could not recommend this location, stick to Grandview that location is much better.

The customer service was horrible!!!!!! I ordered a take order and specifically asked for 2 sides of chutney to have with my naan. When my dad picked up the food the chutney wasnt in the bag. After calling Aab to tell them they made a mistake the manager proceeded to rudely interrupt me by saying if you dont ask at the register AND over the phone there are no guarantees. After arguing with her for 5 minutes she then said that it was her mistake. It was like she couldnt admit to being wrong without a fight. My mind was blown. Was I talking to the manager at a restaurant I frequent or my mother? Ive never been more disappointed. Never returning.

I order a carry out order Sunday and I realized too late that I didnt get 2 items that I paid for. I called to ask that they credit my card. The employee was apparently unable to do this and the manager wasnt available to do it. I was told that a manager would call me to take care of it. I did not receive a call Monday. I did not receive a call Tuesday, so I called and again, no manager, but I was assured that the manager would call later Tuesday. Its Wednesday now and still no call. I am trying to be reasonable and patient but I am extremely annoyed that the manager doesnt seem to care. Wont he back, will not recommend.

Having been to India and one who cooks about the best Curry Chicken I may have a little different take on the food than other Americans. The food here is good for the average American. You will enjoy it. For my Indian friends I would say this place is to Indian food what Taco Bell is to Mexican food. Good but not truely Indian. What I had on the buffet the two times I have gone is all good but not wow. There is little to no spice to the food. Toned down for the Western pallet. Great location and very nice decor. I am new to Columbus area so I will continue my search for true Indian food with spices.

I have only one complaint regarding AABs. They need one closer to me. :) The parking is a little tough too I guess but other than that, this is the best Indian food closest to me. My wife or I always stop here when in town to put in a to-go order or just sit and eat. When I found out about the buffet I was about ready to pitch a tent! The staff has always been friendly. The curries they have are fantastic. Ive ordered several dishes and every time its great.

Go somewhere else for your Indian food.. This Aab location is not worth visiting. I recommend checking out the one in Grandview or choosing a different restaurant all together. The service is poor, the layout of the restaurant is awkward with no privacy, the prices are ridiculous ($4 for a cold, mediocre Chai tea with no refills), and the food is less than satisfactory. You can eat at a much fancier restaurant for the price.

Ok, quality Indian. Portion sizes are reasonable but it does not make up for the price. To get the most out of your money go to the lunch buffet. There is not alot of free parking avaliable. Read the signs if you park on the street. This is a very cozy location large groups (10+) may not be comfortable. Good place for small business meetings. Not an excessively loud location.

Food was really good great presentation, my only gripe which Im sure is an isolated incident, I was handed a glass with lipstick on it and drink out of it before I realized. Besides a half-baked apology there was no other attempt to compensate for the fact I drink out of a dirty glass with lipstick

Service is always exceptional. I have only been to the lunch buffet twice, but both times were nice. My family comes here 3 times a month, and always recieves excellent food from great service. The server, Punkej (sorry, I cannot spell well, its just the pronunciation), is the best of the best.
