In short: it is an upscale Panera (better ingredients and a full bar) - in the best way possible. We just sort of happened upon this place while driving through Columbus. It was around 7:30 p.m. on a Monday night and the place was packed. (Maybe that is no big deal for the area, but Ive worked in numerous restaurants and Monday is notoriously DEAD.) You order & pay at the counter, then sit down and staff will bring you your food. The interior is very cool - you are sitting "in the round," with two levels of seating. Someone is there consistently throughout your meal to check on you as well. Each of the five of us ordered something different, and each item was amazing: Fish sandwich, Townsfair Salad, Chicken & Avocado Sandwich, kids pizza, & kids cheese quesadilla. The portions were generous, the ingredients fresh, and I could eat that Townsfair Salad every day for the rest of my life! The prices are quite fair for the better ingredients, portion size, and service, but just know you are not paying typical "fast casual" prices. (My salad was $14 and a burger will run you about the same.) Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the music was very loud. Well, and the fact that we dont have one of these in Louisville. Maybe if they expand they will make it down my way!

however the food tends to be way overpriced. The burger was great, but not worth $12. I dont get why a bowl of soup is a dollar more than a salad on the menu, but if you want to substitute the salad that comes with the meal for the soup, they upcharge you $3, why not just a $1 for the difference. Anyways, my girlfriend had the Buda bowl and it was gross. The vegetables were mostly raw, and everything was swimming in a soup of rice and peanut oil, which was very overpowering and thats the only thing you could taste. It was horrible! Would have been better with steamed veggies and a little peanut oil so you can taste the other ingredients. I dont understand why gratuity is included, when the only thing they do is bring you your food, they wont even refill your drinks! Whole World is so much better and I wont be wasting my time and money here again.

Northstar Café is without a doubt my favorite Restaurant. I lived right across the street at Easton Commons for almost 2 years. I ate at many options throughout Easton, I swear to you that Northstar was the best all around spot over all other options. The Staff is so friendly, the food is creative and healthy, the prices are fair for the quality you get, the ambiance is from the future, and feeling you have when you leave is satisfied. If you are thinking about visiting Easton and need to eat simply go here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You will not be disappointed. Unfortunately, my career took me to Cleveland. I miss Northstar so much. Every chance I get I stop back in for the famous Northstar Burger, Shooting Star Juice Drink, and a Peanut Butter Cookie!

We just had a Sunday Morning Breakfast experience at the Easton location. We chose this place mostly because I was given two free meal tickets. Imagine our surprise when after ordering we were told we owed them $26.00 and some change. I guess the fine print on the coupon mustve had a limit as to how much could be comped. overall, I was underwhelmed. One must serve themselves, refill their own coffee and basically have a cafeteria type experience. The two orange juices we ordered were $9.00. Now granted, they were freshly squeezed and really good but outrageously priced. The breakfast was good, but the portions, after such a huge price tag (the bill came to $52.00 before the coupon was applied) left me leaving the place hungry. We will not be returning.

It was my first time visiting this location, but food was excellent. We ate at the Northstar Cafe for breakfast and were lucky enough to get there right before the crowd started getting big. The food was excellent. We had the Mushroom Frittata and Classic Egg Sandwich. Both were fresh and delicious. Its a little on the pricey side, but given the quality and flavor of the food we ate, neither one of us minded paying a little more for it. The restaurant is beautiful inside, and appears to be very popular. By the time we left, a line was forming that extended just outside the door. Ive eaten at other Northstars, and while they they were busy, they werent nearly as busy as this one.

I have been to this location on multiple occasions and each time I have been impressed by both the service and the food. The first time I went was on a busy weekend so I expected the food to take a little longer than normal. It did, but when they brought our food they also handed us a free meal ticket for our next visit and apologized for the wait time. Since then, even on busy weekends the wait has been minimal, so my first visit must have been a fluke. As for the food, the Northstar Burger is a must for any veggie burger lovers and anything on the breakfast menu is a safe bet!

It was over priced for breakfest, it recieved my two stars for the "applewood bacon" and good coffee. I found it ackward tipping on the front end and costly due to the young brunette manager. When my cowork asked a simple question that was answered in a pretentious manor I wanted to retract the tip I payed up front. The wait staff was very nice, but it wasnt enough to consitute a higher rating in leau of the over priced food and rude management. In texas we treat people with more respect, I had a great time in Ohio until the september friday the 13th.

I went into Northstar one day, just to try it out of curiosity, and Im glad I did! I was greeted by a very sweet young lady, Nicole. I told her that it was my first time and she gave me some recommendations, eventually I went with just the classic burger. Even with my indesiveness she was very patient. When I was ready to pay, she picked up a card and told me it was on the house, since it was my first time. The overall enviorment inside the cafe is very asthetically pleasing. I had a very good experience and would definitely recommend it!

I eat at North Star a lot because Im allergic to genetically engineered corn and soy (and therefore MSG), so since the restaurant is organic, it shouldnt have any of that stuff in its food. However, I have had a bad allergy attack two times after eating there. I think either MSG or soy lechithin was in the dipping sauce for the steamed artichoke and/or the sauce that is on the chicken/avocado sandwich. I love the food and the whole organic concept, but Im starting to wonder if its really as "organic" as it claims to be....

A friend and I visited the Northstar Cafe last week. It was my first time. I enjoyed the soup of the day which was black bean chicken chile. I also ordered a side salad. I was pleasantly surprised at the generous amount of chicken in the chile. I added a few dashes of their hot sauce to add a little more heat. The chicken chile was accompanied by tortilla chips on the side. The salad was simple and delicious with just the right amount of dressing already on it. The atmosphere is casual with a friendly staff.
