Its not worth any stars, I am writing this review because my family and I have been to many IHOP, but this one is by far the worst experience ever. We chose IHOP because my family and I wanted to have a good breakfast prior to going to Clearwater Beach to spend the 4th of July. We anticipated that there might be a wait time because of the holiday weekend. Upon arriving we were surprised to be told that it was only a 20-25 min wait for a seat. They neglected to ask us if we wanted to be seated inside or outside. Unfortunately, after we were seated by Kevin, the host we were told that our server would be with us shortly. Kevin didnt offer us drinks upon being seated. Instead he proceeded to ask people in 2 different tables, what they wanted to drink even though they came after us. The server even took their order before ours. We waited patiently until someone finally came to ask us for our drinks approximately another 15 minutes. We informed the server Joy that we were ready to order, she insisted on getting the drinks first, said she will be back for the order. It took about another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Kevin brought the drinks along with Joy, my husband told him, "I thought you guys forgot about us, we have been here waiting for over 10 minutes for drinks.," he replied by saying that, "he could come back tomorrow." as if that was funny, it was inappropriate so we just asked for our order to be taken. Joy came back and took the order, she did not provide my kids with enough straws, at all the IHOP we have been to, we usually get a pot of coffee at the table, we only got cups half way served with coffee, my daughter was so thirsty that before she served all the drinks at the table she had finished drinking her Ice Tea and asked for a refill. We waited another 25 to 30 minutes, prior to getting our food in the meantime the other guest that were seated after us had eaten and already left. Once, the food the came out the server, Joy came with another female employee that helped her bring the plates of food. While Joy was trying to figure out who has what and that it goes to the correct person. The other female employee said, "Just set the plates down and they can figure out amongst themselves." and walked away, I was so upset, the correct thing to do was get up and leave them figure it out, since it was obvious they didnt want to serve us or do their job. Instead, I did not want to cause a scene especially since we had the kids, otherwise, my husband and I would have walked away. We waited for so long one of the orders was wrong, the other daughters country omelet had hash browns in it that were burnt. The food was cold my husband lost his appetite on how upset and cold the food was, it wasnt appetizing, other IHOPs we have been to the plates are hot. My son asked for some A1 sauce and by the time they brought it he had already eaten his food, that is how long we waited. My husband asked Kevin, "Why the food was cold and what took so long?" He replied by saying that he it was a busy day and that he had 30 people to attend to." I replied by saying that he, "should have prepared for the day and had all his staff here, that is unfortunate, but not our problem, you do not tell your customers that the reason they got crappy service is because they did not prepare." He said he would speak to the manager to see what he can do, my husband told him it is not about the bill, we have 5 kids, we are capable of paying, it is about the customer service and attitudes of the servers. We were talking about it so that they can do something about it. Kevin said that h spoke to Nancy and she gave us a 20% off, but she didnt even have the common courtesy to come and apologize to us directly. No sense of direction, no one knows what they are doing. It was a waste if time and money, but sucks that we paid for cold food and bad service.

On Sunday July 2nd, I went to this location to eat breakfast with my family (a party of 5) at 11:30 where i was told the wait would be 30 minutes to be seated. We were seated an hour and 10 minutes later. There is where things started going bad, if you tell a person the wait will be 1 hour then we will either be prepared to wait for an hour or we will eat breakfast somewhere else. Once we are finally seated it took them 20 minutes to actually acknowledge we were even there. Only to tell us to give her a moment because she still wasnt ready to take our order. The server with the name Shelly had to be the worst waitress i have ever come across in my life. To begin with her face expressed to us that she did not want to even be there working after 20 minutes she takes our order after Josh reminds her that she still needs to come to our table if not we would have still been waiting. She takes us our coffee and we were missing the sugar and she went to go get the sugar and didnt come back till 15 minutes later once i already had taken sugar from another table. There was so many tables empty and people outside waiting for i dont know what. She then brings us our order but with no silverware i ask her for the silverware and again she goes to go get them and doesnt come back so I again had to get up and go get the silverware sets from where they usually roll them up. She never came to the table to bring us them or even bother to ask if i had received them or not . She also brought some of the orders wrong and we had nicely asked her to take the extra plates that we didnt order away and she was bothered by it. From my understanding the restaurant wasnt so full for the service to be that bad . If you guys understand that you arent capable of giving better service then you might as well close . This has a lot to say about a restaurant like IHOP. I have gone to other IHOPS and the service has been amazing. But that was ridiculous , they didnt even have a host and the personnel was not very professional if you are not ready to serve the public with a positive attitude then you are at the wrong place. This restaurant doesnt even deserve the one star and as for the waitress Shelly she should look for another job where she does not have to interact with people because honestly she is a horrible waitress. I will not come back to this IHOP ever in my life i rather starve or eat some chips and not have to deal with that women and her nasty attitude and the disorganization of the restaurant when one is only trying to have a good time and distract themselves on their vacation.

The only thing keeping this place together are the cooks/kitchen staff. Called to place a to go order. Two very simple items. Arrived to pick it up and an older blonde said some random patron answered the phone and took a "fake order", whom they then welcomed and served food to. She seemed completely indifferent about the situation. Like this was normal? I re-placed our order in person and while waiting saw two tables and two other to go groups walk out for not being acknowledged. The entire front of house staff had a I dont give a damn attitude. One girl that appeared to be in her twenties and of Latin decent stood in a corner near the kitchen entrance and watched everyone being ignored. She literally did nothing the full 20 minutes we stood there, and watched as people walked out or complained about the lack of service. One customer woman even walked into the kitchen just to get a clean coffee cup after she was given a dirty one. Not one staff member seemed surprised by this. Where was management? 4th of July weekend, a huge revenue weekend without even a full restaurant at the time and customers get such poor service? Disgraceful. New front of house staff is desperately needed here and where on earth was the shift manager?... We stood and watched our food get cold at the hostess stand while Noone seemed to care. I seriously had to basically yell to the staff that we were taking our food from behind the counter and leaving. And yes the girl was still standing in the corner by the kitchen entrance with a smug IDGAF look on Jr face. Kitchen staff made the food as ordered, so thank you to them for performing their job duties.
