1) the beans are warehoused for long periods of time causing them to grow mold, in turn forcing Starbucks corp. to over roast the beans in order to burn off the mold. Hense your burnt beans. 2) Super Automatic espresso machines are terrible. they remove the barista from the equation, rendering a more consistent, all be it crappy product with little to no real involvement from the barista. 3) Support a local coffee shop, and keep your money in the community you jackass. 4) its way over priced.
