I dont live in Ohio anymore but when I return to visit, Davis Bakery is a MANDATORY stop. Firstly, coconut bars, although a relatively simple baked good, cant be beat. If you have never had a coconut bar, you dont know what you are missing. If I tell you a coconut bar is basically a piece of chocolate cake or white cake with coconut on top, most people might say "Yeah so?..... Well, the coconut bar is much more. There is a thin layer of some type of icing or meringue that the cake is coated with prior to rolling in thinly slivered coconut. The mixture of chocolate and coconut is similar to the flavors in a Mounds candy bar. Coconut bars come in chocolate cake flavor or white cake flavor. I prefer the chocolate but do eat both. What sets the coconut bar apart is the incredible texture and the moisture retention - these puppies are never dry. Very moist - delicious. Always worth a detour to Davis Bakery.

Lady behind the counter was rude! acted like we were bothering her. Corned beef was not hot or at temp. and cole slaw was not at cooling temp. one person we ordered for got deathly ill. This choke and puke needs better help!
