This is my 1st review ever, and its not spontaneous-- I have given this place 7 trys across a span of 4 years-figuring at 1st it may just be an "off day" there, but the later tries -others drug me, but today was unexcusable on my part because I didnt want to upset someone. THIS PLACE IS HONEST TO GOODNESS THE *WORST* Chinese food Ive had anywhere across Ohio, PA & NY (west of Rochester)! And I LOVE chinese. The food has ALWAYS been dried out, very old, off tasting for what its supposed to be, OR swimming in grease depending on what it is. Some of it has the taste & appearance of having been reused from previous days! Its so unbelieveable, its hard to convey in words, and remember, this has ALWAYS been the case! Today was a new low though, its even gone downhill from my last visit last fall. EVERYTHING seemed "dirty"- I mean to the point I was having visions of Ramseys Worst FILTH Nightmares of "whats REALLY going on in the back with your food" The salad looked (no kidding) like it was scraped out of someone elses throwaway dumpster! Ive worked in restaurants, and I KNOW what bad & old stuff looks like. And my husband who NEVER EVER makes a peep or fuss even begrudgingly said stuff was freakishly bad- they even have the ketchup WATERED down! The General Tso had NO chicken in it- just dried batter balls & some gristle nobs in spackle like syrupy goop (a theme that was across all the trays) with NO seasoning AT ALL, It was OVER when after a couple seemingly safe nibbles of mushrooms in brown sauce, I bit into one that was RANCID! I GENUINELY almost vomited (SERIOUS-it was spat with a reche & people looked) The bathrooms are so unkept, I decided to hold it the 6miles home. The drink girls didnt mingle- they just stood several feet away like they were assigned to watch everyone for theft of something, or were eavesdropping-- their proximity was unnerving, & I noticed another couple that seemed to have the same feeling about their "stragic" uncomfortable closness. I didnt want to pay the $24 for two drinks and a handful of "OMG what-the-hell??", but the staff really seemed scary & intimidating, & my husband just wanted to get away from this & "call it a wash". I really felt bad for him because he was absolutely STARVING & really wanted Chinese- At the pay counter I waited to be asked how things were (a standard at every restaurant I thought)- full wanting to voice a protest then dash out quickly...- but got stoney GLARED AT silence from the man & just our CC slip shoved at us. Glad I didnt say anything now that I see that other fellows review about how he was treated when he spoke up!! I DO have a genuine story of food poisoning from here from several people a couple years back, but todays experience seemed more time relevent. ~ADVICE---DRIVE THE 4 miles to BELDEN VILLAGE if you want Chinese food Buffet style & get fresh DECENT food that you can find something for any pallet. The best was QQ, but now theres only Buffet Dynasty- You can eat $12 worth there without worrying about getting sick, or feeling completely robbed. ONE QUESTION THOUGH-- **WHATS HAPPENED TO THE STARK COUNTY HEALTH INSPECTOR???**

Well, yesterday (4/21/13) my husband & I were wanting Chinese food so we went to the Top China Buffet. Usually, its not to bad but, yesterday when we went it was seriously disgusting! The food was old, dried out, & obviously sitting for a long time. Plus, they were cleaning out and taking away the ice cream @ 8:15 pm. I was wanting hot tea & was told they were out. We did get there @ 8 pm & they do close down @ 9 pm, but they should of had fresh food & ice cream until they close. Anyway, when telling the waitress about the issues we were having she repeated what we said & took my husbands water glass & gave him more water, but said nothing else about the issue. Then as I was watching her & the other workers they had brought out fresh food for themselves & most of them sat down including our waitress & started eating their fresh food. So, I stood up & told my husband I was going to go sit in our car. All of sudden our waitress came over wanting to know if we wanted our check. I did not answer her, because I felt she didnt obviously care about our needs. Since she ignored them completely. My husband had to pound on the table to get her attention (because she kept asking me if we wanted our check) & stated since I didnt eat much that he wasnt paying for the whole bill! With an attitude she snatched up the check & went up to the cashier. I was on my way out when she was going back to the table where my husband was still sitting. She almost knocked into me, because of her attitude. She did fix the bill so my husband only paid for 1 meal, but she was very rude about it. We have been there quite a few times & it has never been like that! I dont know if this will help by writing this, but I think people should know. Its shame since this was the first place in a long time since I moved to the Canton area that I liked. Its very unlikely well go back!!!

This is my first review ever! This is the worst Chinese restaurant Ive ever been to. Not much to choose from on the buffet. Most of the food was dried out or cold. The waitress only asked what I wanted to drink... not once did she check back on me. I took one bit of this and that and wished I had went somewhere else. When I complained to the owner/waitress which I NEVER do she said that they have great business and regulars. I told her I didnt even eat my food and I was hungry so now I have to go somewhere else and pay for real good... I didnt feel I should be charged if Im leaving hungry. After I pulled up the poor reviews on my phone and showed her she began telling me how those were just from people who skipped out without paying and she called the cops on them. I dont believe that. I showed her that I was giving the place a poor review and finally she said if Id change it to a good review shed refund my money. Although I still had to pay for my tea that of course I only took a sip of cause I was leaving. I wasnt rude at all but I do feel I should post an honest review. I LOVE Chinese food but this place was extremely awful! Bad food, bad service, bad selection at buffet... just bad all around. I do not recommend it to anyone. Dont waste your money there. I wouldnt even give it a half of a star!

I didnt know how to get on to reviews w/o putting in a star. When one of these places opened a few years ago in Canton,a door or three from a dam good restaurant(Petes),we thought wed try it out. We came from California and Top China was one of our favorites. But talk about a 180! We showed up the first or so night of their opening. We thought,at first because it was new, that they had some things to work out. However, that didnt seem the problem. We tried them a few more times, but they never got any better. I am a seafood lover and the place said they had crab legs for a lower price than other places. I was excited,at first, until I had tasted it. Several times,I had. But the taste was beyond horrible! The food my husband had ordered was cold, greasy and tasted nasy. I couldnt leave the house so he went in and got the food himself. By the time he got home, you could smell the stink even though the plastic bag. I agree with the other person. Where the hell is the Health People!?
