We went there New Years Day for my mothers birthday celebration. The menu online looks appealing. I previously called that day to inquire whether they would be open on the holiday and was told yes. We were seated at table and given a shortened holiday menu. This was not mentioned when I had called previously. So there were only 3-4 choices under each section. I was disappointed since the item I had wanted to order was not included, but we tried to make the best of shortened holiday menu. Also, they did not have any tea. The server was horrible!! He miscounted the plates, never gave us any eating utensils, miscounted the drinks when they were brought to the table. Continuing on trying to make the best of it, since it was my mothers birthday, the restaurant was well lit and quiet enough that we could have a conversation and hear each other. The server took our orders and brought us the "flat tortilla bread". When the server brought out our food, he had no idea who ordered what, or what each item was. He confused the orders even after we asked if they were correct, he still confused them. I ordered tikka masala medium-hot, I was assured that is what I had, but when I tasted mine, I was served buttered chicken that was mild. The same happened to my husband and mother. One of the orders was forgotten all together. So we had a to wait an extra 20 minutes for that order to be brought to the table, while the other food was getting cold. We started to eat, even though our last member hadnt gotten their food, but when we went to eat, they still had not brought any eating utensils, and no fresh drinks. Again we had to ask for this and drink refills. We could see our server behind the bar with another employee just laughing and giggling in conversation. I raised my hand to try to get his attention, since I was against the wall in the booth. No avail. A woman server came over to assist us in getting utensils and drinks. At this point our server stopped coming to our table completely. A female brought out our last guests dinner, I can only believe this to be a manager of some sort, to try to salvage the night. We finished our meals, which were only 2 stars at best. The flavoring was poor and the rice which comes on the side had to carrot squares and 1 pea on it, I am not sure what this display was supposed to be. The meal tasted as if it came from a jar and a prepackaged container. Sorry this review is long, but the service and food were horrible, I never write reviews, but I feel strongly about this place. Would never go back and would not recommend it to anyone. Saffron is about a mile away, and the food is true Indian food that is of high quality and taste.

Lunch Buffet - BEST VALUE IN THE AREA!!!! Environment - Clean, Comfy & Classy!!! Service was a little sub par but that can change anywhere on any given day. Since they work for tips, it would have to be nasty service to chase me away and they were at least very friendly. Food on the lunch buffet was good...tandoori was spot on! Some food could have used a little more spice or flavor but I dont expect the superior dishes to make it out to the $10 lunch buffet lol Ive seen people complain about selection but I have yet to find an Indian buffet that offers the choices of an American or Chinese food horse trough style buffet. Again...awesome value!!! I have been to many Indian joints in the area and most of the negative reviews are fair. I bypass walking to those from our hotel to drive through awful Orlando traffic to eat at this one! I hope to try dinner there someday!

Lovely restaurant! Ambience is very good, not like those typical Indian restaurants with just table and chair affair. The food is the one you must come here for, it touches all spectrums of Indian flavors - North, South, Indo-Chinese, Tandoori, Mughlai... My wife insisted we try the buffet over the weekend and for the price point of $9.95, it was really amazing. Everything tasted really good, all the meat dishes had great flavor and depth to it. We had freshly made crispy dosa with a bunch of chutneys, tandoori grilled chicken, chicken tikka masala, kadhai mutton, mushroom masala, garlic aloo, chicken biryani and peas pulao. My wife had some room left for dessert which was payasam and she says it was one of the best. The staff is very friendly and make sure you are having a good time. I will definitely go for a bite here in a heartbeat.

Food in Chutneys is sometimes good and sometimes not. For instance, today I ordered some food from this restaurant through Uber eats - goat biryani , malai kofta and chicken xacutti. Kofta and chicken curries were good, but goat biryani, man it was pathetic. I think I need to be an alligator to digest because all there was, is bones and yellow disgusting fat pieces. I had to literally fish for good mutton pieces in the biryani. Restaurant owners and staff need to know that if they start taking customers for granted , it will directly have a negative impact on their business because I am gonna share my experience with all my friends and they will keep my experience in mind before ordering! Restaurant management, you need to wake up!

I really wish there were more than 5 stars but this restaurant was the real deal. It was so good that when I told my mom the food here is better than hers (a risky, suicidal endeavor), instead of slapping the chutney out of me, she actually agreed with me. There is a wide variety of authentic dishes, which can suit any customer with any dietary restrictions. The vegetarian selection was just as appetizing as the meat dishes. As I ate garlic butter naan and the chicken vindaloo, I could feel my ancestors blessing me from above. The service was nice and quick and polite, the the decor was on-point. I was even happier when I realized that they do uber eats. I would eat here again 11/10.

I would give them 0 stars if I could, staff is terrible, we ordered 20 minutes agead for pick up and when I arrived, they gave my order to some other people. The called the people to come back with the food (what the hell?) and after they came back with the food, that was still the wrong order. After an hour of waiting they had to make it all from scratch ( this was a six people meal, so it took them another 35 minutes to get it done). I had ordered all of it not spicy, and this is by far the most spicy food ive eaten. This is terrible. At the beggening I wanted a refund, but they would find excuses to not give me a refund. horrible place, first and last time here.

My husband and I were in the area and were craving Indian food. We found Chutneys through Google search and it had great reviews and they were true! They were open today which is a National holiday (4th of July) and had complimentary Bud Light! We had their lunch buffet which was so reasonably priced at $9.99 per person. Their staff was so friendly and very accommodating. Their food was delicious and very fresh! Although a buffet, the staff would offer to bring us dishes just so we didnt have to get up. The ambiance is beautiful as well! Definitely our new fave Indian restaurant. Thank you Chutneys for an amazing experience!
