My wife and I tried Katana for the first time today and was pretty excited about it. Heard good things from people so we thought we would give it a try. I regret ever going in there. This was THE WORST dining experience we have ever had in our lives!!! Right when you first walk in you pay at the register before you eat. The two workers that were there didnt explain anything after we paid and was really confused whether we seat ourselves or if they would seat us. They never looked at us once! After two minutes of them talking one of them finally said to follow her and she was walking so fast we could barely keep up with her. She even pushed through a few customers without ever saying excuse me. We were like whatever and went about our meal and got our food. They actually have a wide variety of different stuff but was really disappointed by it. Food was not terrible but was not very good gave me a bad taste in my mouth afterwards. But the worst part of it and why I only gave them one star is because of our waitress. She took our plates for the most part but at one point gave us a tray with fortune cookies before we were even done. After a while she came back and took our plates and while she did she picked up the tray and looked me straight in the eye and set it down in the middle of both of us like she was begging for a tip and walked behind us like she was watching us to make sure we left a tip. This made us really uncomfortable and seemed so stupid since we paid before we came in. As soon as she wasnt looking and went to a different table we left a dollar and walked out as fast as we could. I was apalled at how unprofessional the staff was and how they were begging for a tip. If you guys want to keep customers coming back dont be rude to them!

Had a coupon. The coupon says children 9 and under eat free with the purchase of an adult dinner. My daughter is 9 years old. We get to the counter to pay. They ask how old my daughter is. Shes 9. The asian lady rips up the coupon and starts screaming at the top of her lungs at me. She claims that under 9 means 8yrs old and younger. Very misleading. The coupon should say 8 and younger then. No big deal to us, my daughter wanted to eat there I was willing to pay whatever amount. The rude asian lady literally told us to leave, started yelling even louder and now people that were eating could see what was going on. I have no problem paying full price. I was just doing what I thought was the right thing because it said 9 and under and i thought that meant ages 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 were free. I love to support local businesses and this place will never see me back there. Totally uncalled for to act this way, rather then explain nicely. We went across the street to dynasty buffet and my daughter was visibly upset and the hostess asked her what happened and she told them. You dont pay first over there, you eat then pay unlike katana buffet. Buffet dynasty gave both of our meals to us for free. Extremely nice and unnecessary. We left a generous tip and went on our way. THANKS KATANA BUFFET, I AM A SINGLE FATHER WHO WAS TAKING MY CHILD OUT FOR A BIRTHDAY DINNER AND YOU HAD TO RUIN 10 MINUTES OF HER DAY. Thankfully, dynasty buffet put a smile on her face when a girl wanted sushi for her birthday. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK

whilst the food here was great, the service was some of the worst that I have seen around! We went there for a meal following a funeral, and the staff was beyond rude and very unaccommodating! Each of the families paid for their own meals, and they kept us rounded up and kept shouting at everyone until all the people had been rung up, then they took us over to the side of the restaurant and kept yelling at everyone to sit down even though they were still moving tables together. The manager kept shouting at everyone and that waitress was very rude. she wouldnt even let us have a cup of water until she matched us up with our receipt. She got rude about refilling water glasses, and accused some family members of not paying for their child and kept threatening them to call the police on said "7 year old child" who wasnt paid for...the family member insisted the kid was 9 and showed where they had paid for a 9 year old, but they wouldnt listen. then after all the rudeness, the waitress brought trays around and put them on the table and matter of factly put her finger down on that tray, pointing and saying "you put tip here" and when she came back and no one had put their tip down she got even ruder and did it again " you put tip here:" this was not done in an informative matter, but rather in a bossy, you WILL put your tip here...I was absolutely appalled at the way that we were treated, and I would NEVER take my family there again.

B4 u go in u must need to read this I when there with my family there last night, this place is not like a Asian place is more like a heat up American food place. I go to a culinary school so I know what food should be taste like.All the American food they serve is processed product or frozen product ,they just heat it up and serve. All these product has lot of chemicals and the quality is bad.mashed potatoes and gravy is make out of powder.The beef and chickens quality is very bad cheep stuff in the market. Chinese food they got taste not right think is processed product or they use frozen chickens.general Taos chicken got lot of cornstarch,they try to feed peoples with cornstarch lol.Sushi is okey on the cooked stuff but all the raw stuff got fish smells even I put wasabi on it . Habachi guy is not friendly staff was not friendly too when I ask them questions. Over all they got a lots of stuff,but this is not what I want .I want to go to a real Asian or Chinese buffet not a American food heat up place.staff is not friendly and the manager speak poor English and dont understand English.

We enjoyed the food. But the staff was rude. They dont post prices. We went with a group off 10 but when were escorted to the back of the place. She pointed at a booth , I told her AGAIN we have 6 more ppl coming. She just looked at me and said " they can all sit in the booths down the wall" I told her NO we want to sit TOGETHER! I was told "Sorry all I got" GREAT! Then our great waitress took forever getting our waters, then when the rest of of our party showed (she looked at us) they went and got their plates and just sat there because they didnt get their silverware or drinks, I had to wave her down and ask her for their stuff!! Then she acted pissed about it! I think weve made the hr drive to go there maybe 50 times and this has to have been the worst time there! So bad i dont think well make the trip again! Im now second guessing all the times weve gone and been treated very rudely by the chic at the register thats ALWAYS on her cell! What kind of business lets their employees sit around on their cells ?? Really disappointed :(
