The sushi was great. The service was terrible. My friend and I happened to go when the city health inspector was making her rounds. My order came out without a hitch, but they brought my friend the wrong food 2 times in a row. By the time they fixed it, I was already finished and he told them he didnt want it. They boxed it up anyway, and then charged our tickets wrong, putting half of my food on his order. I dont recommend going here if youre in a hurry or if you get frustrated easily when people dont understand english.

BEST in town! Love visiting my friends and having a wonderful family experience. Everyone here knows how to make you feel like you are part of the family. We laugh, we drink, and we make great memories while dinning out! Sakura Japanese Steakhouse has given us a place where family an friends can come together and enjoy a meal out. Hands down the best sushi in town and honestly everything I have ever gotten there was awesome. Come give them a try and who knows maybe we can share a drink or two!

Wide selection suited for any appetite. The grilled salmon with mango salsa was perfection. Served with savory vegetables, sweet carrots and an earthy fried rice. Desert was simple comforting hot green tea, as well as a fried cheesecake with a royal assortment of berries and pralines on a tart sauce. Impeccable service alongside knowledgeable chefs made for a memorable evening of dining.

Really starting to doubt the knowledge of sushi in this area... Rolls were unsavory and poorly constructed. For the money I am spending it should be the dining experience should be much better than it is... go to Greensboro, Charlotte, or Chapel Hill for it. No native japanese speakers here. Still searching for good sushi in winston salem that can remind me of home... no luck so far.

Shrimp Shumai, steamed Gyoza are just 2 of the many appetizers you can start with. I love there Spicy baked scallops & mussels....just wish the order was bigger! Awesome selection of Sushi rolls and lunch/dinner selections. Make sure you leave room for one of there elegant desserts or at least some ice cream!

4.5/5 Best sushi restaurant Ive found in Winston, of the 4 or so places I have tried. Great selection of sushi (ask for the specials menu). Good ramen as well. Staff is very nice and attentive. Have had a very pleasant conversation with an owner/manager one time when I sat at the sushi bar.

The food is always wonderful when we go, its the only place in town we will get sushi. The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is I wish they would upgrade the decor and do a bit of deep cleaning in the booths. Decor is a bit tired and the chairs need help.

Very affordable for the quality. Especially liked the pecan crusted grouper, which was well prepared and presented. Udon soup was good, too. Prices were not into the stratosphere as some Japanese restaurants are, so value was good.

The food is fresh and they have a great menu. I love the the steak with vegetables and the clear soup. So many things on the menu but well worth it to try them all. The sushi is fantastic.
