Were new to the area and really wanted to find a nice hibachi place, and this place is it!! When we got there we didnt have to wait, but Im not sure what a regular night would look like though seeing as we went on Halloween when most people are out doing festive things. Anyway, this place does have a bar with a variety of beer, wine, and other specialty drinks. The place is very clean and our waitress was a sweetheart! I got the bingo bango sushi roll to start which was amazing and fresh! My boyfriend (a non sushi eater) got the fried dumplings which he loved as well. We ordered the chicken and steak combination hibachi which came with soup or salad, we both chose the salad and the waitress ended up bringing a complementary soup to share so we could try it. Then it came with either fried rice or noodles but for a little extra money we chose both which was well worth it! The chicken and steak were cooked to perfection and the hibachi chef was very entertaining, making us laugh plenty of times throughout the night. To finish our night off, we ordered the fried ice cream which was like eating ice cream wrapped in funnel cake...aka it was delicious!! We are really pleased with this place and for all the food we got the bill really wasnt even that high! We will definitely be back!!

we made reservations for 5:30 tonight and were seated with two other making a total of 6. Our waitress took our drink order and wanted our meal order right away. we ordered an appetizer our were delayed an served in the middle of our meal, but the soup and salads were delivered immediately. than our Chief was there and started our meals I was served the rice before I could finish the soup or salad. ske kept trying to clear our plates. I want to assure you the food was delicious but it was thrown at us so quickly. the other couple dumped their water and nothing was done about it. He cleaned the grill and was off. she than brought the bill. I still had a half of plate to eat. she proceeded to come back to me twice more to ask for payment. I did express that I felt I was being rushed. Since when do you consider your self a fast food. At the price we paid I was very dis appointed but be sure the tip was included but I will have reconsider our next time

Ive been to over 100 different sushi places in the US. This place gives the look and prices of a fancy place but is most definitely not. The servers are very under skilled. We waited half an hour just to get our miso soup. The hibachi chef was done and we were done eating the hibachi food before we even got our sushi. the California roll had mustard or some other nasty sauce in it and was nothing like any other one Ive seen (in a bad way). The fish is not fresh either. I did not at all like this place and would never suggest it to anyone. If it helps you... Most Americans really dont know good sushi. This is why places like this still exist. Take it from someone who has had sushi around the country, this place is no good. Also, I never write reviews so the simple fact that I took the time should tell you something.

I have been a long time customer of Ayoyamas, since they opened in Millcreek !! I have always had awesome meals there ! Having been to Japan (Tokyo area) I have a good idea of the quality of food served by Japanese Restruants. I was at Ayoyamas in the Millcreek Mall (Erie PA) on Saturday, April 22, 2017, And the meal was anything but Japanese !!!!!! The meat was cooked without any seasoning except teriyaki sauce. The vegetables had no sesame seed in them or any other seasoning except teriyaki sauce. The fried rice was rice, eggs, and soy sauce. They have increased the prices, cut the menu ( Used to get the soup and salad ) and MOST importantly, CUT THE QUALITY of the meals !!!! I have been going to them for the last 7 years. I WILL NOT GO BACK !!! I can cook a better Japanese meal than they do !!!

We had a 6pm reservation for hibachi and were made to wait 40 minutes until we were actually seated. Our chef did not show up until well after 7. The waiter was also waiting a table across the restaurant so needless to say our service was terrible. I felt bad for the kid. The food was good and the chef was entertaining but the overall experience was not very pleasant due to the long wait and slow service. I have been to a few other hibachi restaurants in the area and Aoyama is by far the worst in terms of service. Maybe it would be better on a weeknight but dont go on a Saturday if you dont have 3 hours to spend. Very disappointed.

Im true Japanese. So Im writing this review from the viewpoint of Japanese. I ordered Tekka don. But its form was americanized(Its taste was ok). And the sauce of Yakitori was too sweet for me. I dunno whether the taste is good or not good for american people. However, I can recommend Sushi&sashima combo. It was good. Finally, I sometimes heard the sound of a gong in the restaurant. Its CHINESE culture!! Not Japanese one!!

The waitress took away our plates when we were still having our appetizers. There was food in the plates, but she decided that we had had enough. :/ Then after 10 minutes, she brought us our main course. We had ordered sushi (not sashimi) and they gave us raw fish. We would have still eaten it if it was tasty, but it was not.

The chef was hilarious and called my fiance "princess" the food was absolutely to die for. The place was spotless and the prices were not as high as I anticipated. Im leaving five stars and definitely coming back. Joel was awesome!!!

Used to love this place. New menu, higher prices, same sub quality food. Kind of Dissapointed. Also if Im willing to pay an extra fee to split my meal you should allow me to do so. Will be going to hibachi on 12th from now own.

This was my first time eating there my fiance treated me out for my birthday for dinner and we both had the best time watching the hibachi show and our chef was awesome. We will have to come again at another time just for dinner.

We arrived with a group of 7. 2 of our plates arrived hot and out of order. We told the server who told the manager and she came over and deducted 15% from our order. So I would give them +2 stars for the customer service.

Was my favorite restaurant. Then management changed or something and they changed they cut the menu, upped the prices, and lost quality. Went yesterday and got food poisoning. Very disappointing. Will not return.
