Although the restaurant itself is very small, space-wise, the food was more than satisfactory. The crab cakes, made with lump crab meat, were especially delectable - I was unable to find a crab cake of the same quality in any other restaurant on the island; and I visited a different place every night of my 7-day visit. The atmosphere is both comfortable and intimate but didnt feel forced and the service was very good. I highly recommend Boardwok if you are looking for delicious seafood.

Staff welcomed our party of 6 20 minutes before closing time. Food was great. I had Tuna Tacos, with nice rare tuna, another of our party had crabcakes, which were described as excellent. Definitely a hole in the wall laid-back kind of place, but thats the whole vibe in Waves/Rodanthe. Nothing seemed unkempt or dirty about it, just sparse. Nice to find a place near to our rental with table service.

Delicious food! No wait at 6pm on a Friday was a plus. Just the right amount of breading on scallops, filling in crab cakes and batter on shrimp tempura. Left feeling full and my mouth is watering just thinking about the spicey tartar sauce! Service was good. Table could have been wiped cleaner before we were seated.

Ran into this place accidentally while buying groceries in the same shopping complex. After days of eating western food and sea food the food taste here felt like an oasis in desert of Fish tacos and fried food. The fried rice is very delicious. Rest of the dishes are quite good too and priced well.

FANTASTIC food thats full of flavor. My Wife got the Rib Eye and it was beyond perfect. I got the Generals chicken and it was probably the best Ive ever had. Kids got the Lo Mein w/ Chicken and they ate it all. I cant say enough about it, we will go back before vacation is over!

This place was great. Service was excellent. We showed up 5 min before closing and they welcomed a family of 6 and gave us a great night! The crab cakes were out of this world :).

Great food. The best crabcakes around. Good service. Couldnt ask for a better restaurant if you were in the city and here it is on Hatteras Island! How cool is that?

Food is the best! Great Steak and Cake! Lots of Crab meat and a perfect amout of fillers. Place gets busy sometimes but very worth the wait!
