If you live in or come to visit Cape May, you obviously have good taste. Take your tastes and treat them at Godmothers - it is SO good. A great place for a nice family dinner off the main beach strip or a cute date night destination, it is impossible to have a less than stellar meal here. We got the chilled tomato soup and lobster bisque (rich but so delicious) and argued about which was better. The Antipasto salad would have been enough for four, and the two of us barely made a dent. There was plenty of meat and cheese, veggies, and marinated olives. We split a spaghetti which was just enough after the soups and salad. You can BYOB which is always a treat!

My husband and I went to Godmothers for dinner last night and I ordered the shrimp parm and it was awful. It was extremely dry and tastless. It was shrimp covered with mounds of mozarella. My husband had veal parm and after tasting his sauce, I was glad that mine was dry. We have been to many outstanding restaurants in Cape May, including the Black Duck, but this one was the worst and rest assured we will never return.

Food was very tasty, host made us wait about 5 minutes to be seated even though place had only 3 tables being used, maybe we were underdressed but they didnt tell us. Had the Seafood Fra Diavlo wasnt spicy scallops were a little cold. 28 dollars for it and it came with 3 of Everything clams scallops mussels and shrimp. Slightly ridiculous.

Ricotta Gnocchis are Amazing!!!! The food and service were excellent. The wait staff was very helpful and on top of every request. The chef and his wife were very nice and accommodating to kid requests. Yes, although the atmosphere is upscale, you can still bring kids under the age of 8...;)

The service is excellent and food are both great! We had Will for a server and he was very knowledgeable about the food and very nice to talk to. Not only was the normal menu awesome but the specials were out of this world. 10/10 would recommend. Family owned too!

This is the best Italian restaurant in Cape May. Meals are freshly prepared, creatively presented, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. From the hummus appetizer to the penne rigati entree to the cheesecake dessert, it is tops. Mangia and enjoy! Best ever.

OK restaurant. Didnt love it, didnt hate it. I thought it was ridiculous that they charge you $18 for spaghetti and sweet sausage but dont include a salad or soup. Chocolate mousse cake was excellent! Maybe just go there for dessert and coffee.

Great food! Been here three times and every time they have delivered. They accidentally put shrimp on my angel hair when I had ordered chicken one time, but they recovered very quickly and I was still very satisfied.

Dinner tonite ...so disappointing. In past, 4 stars, tonite service great but unbeknownst to us, it was last nite of the season and.the food reflected as much. Will think twice before inviting friends there again.

Early bird is over at 5:30 exactly, disappointed because we sat at 5:43 when we hd a 5:30 reservation. Food is good in a small restaurant. Its a BYO.
