Would give it ZERO stars if I could! This was the WORST dining experience we have EVER had. (I have been there several times and it was never this bad...). We were a group of 8, had a reservation for 4pm, and it took us over 3 hours to get out of there... We put our food order in at 4.54pm. Food came out AFTER 6.15pm (over an hour to wait to eat!!), and it was COLD. Orders were messed up; steak tacos were so cold (like straight out of their refrigerator), french fries were cold, pasta was cold, vampire tacos were cold, chicken burger had missing toppings, etc. So we told our server and sent dishes back to be remade. Manager "Shannon" came to our table, with a horrendous, foul attitude, and when we told her we had been waiting for our food for over an hour, she started ARGUING with us about the time the ticket was put it. Maybe it was the server, maybe it was the kitchen, but either way, it does not matter! I have NEVER had a restaurant manager sit there and give me an attitude or try to argue with me and my party about OUR dining experience. Shannon was extremely unprofessional, and RUDE. Yard House...really??? After finally eating our crappy dinner, we were told the items that were cold/messed up orders would be taken care of. We asked for the checks, and it took them over 35 minutes to get our checks!!! Seriously!? And when we finally did, we were charged for food they were going to "take care of". We were ready to simply walk out. When we asked the server why we were being charged for some of the items we were told we wouldnt be charged for, the server said "I am sorry maam, I dont know what to say"... (Probably Shannon told him to charge us anyway...). Luckily, another server (didnt catch her name) who was aware of our situation was actually concerned and got the other manager, Kylie, to come to our table. (THANK YOU!) Kylie was truly professional and tried to remedy the already-awful dining experience. At least, two employees cared enough...but our advice is Yard House needs to reevaluate their customer service and manager choices... In short, we will never come back here. Shannon needs to go! We are still in shock at her lack of professionalism...

**PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ** My friends and I frequent Yard house at least 6 to 7 times a month. This is my first review ever written but the server Beverly needs to be fired with her nonchalant, eye rolling self! I have served before so I am an overly humble patron. Now that this is out of the way. We came in and were sat. Our server came over and looked like she was pissed to have a job but we made the best of it. So we (4 people) ordered our food (which she didnt write down) and then we finally got our inital drink order after waiting 10 minutes... so.. the food comes.... fries are cold... nachos arent right... (drinks are now empty)... and were missing our appetizer. Beverly then blamed it all on the kitchen and said she would fix it. We ordered another round of beers and after around 8 minutes of watching our beer sit at the bar waiting to be served to us.. a friend from the table goes and gets our drinks herself. Now were still waiting for the appetizer and new fries...! Another server walks by and we ask them to help us get our order right. That server, Martin, was a champ and saved the day. Finally we decide to get a manager because even after Martin helped us we havent seen Beverly in over 20 minutes..... The manager (Kylie) comes over... tries to fix it but by this time were all pissed. The Manger took over our table and was very friendly and went out of her way to do the servers job. KYLIE NEEDS A PROMOTION to train employees on customer service because she does it best! All of this said.. well be back but of I see Beverly in this place again I would wait 3 hours for another server before I let her serve me again. #BoycottBeverly

3 of 5 stars (good casual dining) We went to this place on a Thursday night and there was a 25-minute wait. HUGE selection of beers on tap and a HUGE menu with many Asian influences and several choices for vegans (this chain has California roots). I tried the vegan "wings" which had a nice Buffalo-style flavor, but were way too salty. The vegan sliders were tasty, too, but the ratio of bun to "meat" was about 6 to 1. In other words [note to chef]: wheres the "beef"?! Great, thin-cut fries. The best dish we had was the ahi poke salad. With no soft surfaces on the floors, walls or ceiling, this place is quite loud when packed. Some quiet time can be found outside, and they have some pretty good heaters and stylish fire pits to keep you warm. Price: about $40 per person. That includes five small "shorty" beers, tip not included. Add points for cloth napkins. Subtract points for ubiquitous big-screen TVs giving this place more of a sports bar feel than that of a fine dining establishment. (see explanation of ratings below) About my ratings: Only fine dining establishments can garner five stars. I divide restaurants into three categories: 1) fast food (no table service) 2) casual dining (table service) 3) fine dining (linen napkins, no plastic cups, no TVs in dining room, typically more expensive than casual dining) Fine dining can earn a max of five stars. Casual dining can earn a max of four stars. Fast food can earn a max of three stars.

Let me start with the good. The ambiance is great with a open feel; and they a have a large selection of beer on tap. We however came for the food. We started with the CHICKEN NACHOS which were very good: covered with beans, tomato, cilantro, onion, cheese, sour cream, and fresh guacamole; the works. The portion was huge, and you definitely need a few friends to share it. We then moved on to the FRENCH ONION SOUP. This I can only describe as sliced onions cooked in canned beef broth. It was extremely salty (thus tasting like it was from a can), and a far cry from French onion soup. For the main course we got the FISH & CHIPS (beer battered white fish, fries, roasted jalapeño tartar, malt vinegar aïoli) and SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN BREAST (boneless, creamed corn, bbq beans, spinach mashed potatoes, bourbon gravy). So the fish, looked good, nice and crispy. Then the first bite. Under the elusive crispy exterior lay a oily soggy mess. Fortunately the jalapeño tartar overpowered the soggy texture; but after a couple of bites, I was done. As for the Fried chicken; it was a overcooked dried out disaster. The mashed potatoes? Well that was the first al dente mashed potatoes I have ever experienced; and it will be my last.

I went to Yard House in Raleigh with 6 friends last night. I had never been so thought the restaurant design and layout looked impressive and the menu was large like a book. It wasnt terribly busy so you would think the service would be excellent especially since the place is pretty new but our service was terrible. The waiter did not check back with us for quite some time after our food was delivered. When he did show up, he was not pleased that we had so many requests. One of the requests was to correct a salad dressing (balsamic was ordered but ranch was delivered) and a french fry order was stone cold. I feel that if you are going to splurge on eating french fries, they better be good and hot or the calories are a terrible waste! Of the 7 people in our group, only one was happy with her meal. We had plenty of food left over that we did not box up and take with us. It wasnt good enough the first go around let alone for possible left overs the next day. The waiter never asked why there was so much food left on our plates. One person ordered an entire rack of ribs but only ate 3. They were tough and hard to cut through. I predict the restaurant will be out of business in less than a year.
