I went in with high hopes for good noodles and left disappointed. While the service was great, the chicken was tough, the pork was fatty, and the noodle bowls themselves are overpriced, bland, noticeably light on noodles and protein, and more broth than substance. I get the feeling that Kanki is trying to elevate this staple Japanese cuisine, which is a commendable endeavor. However, the end result is poorer than one can find in most hole-in-the-wall establishments, and far more expensive to boot, leaving customers doubly dissatisfied.

Ive tried this place twice and the atmosphere is tight, you feel squashed against the other customers. The ramen is only ok. Its not great or even good ramen. Plus they dont give you very much of anything....stingy with the noodles, the veggies, and certainly sparingly with the meats. Im quite certain you could make a better ramen your very first time following a YouTube video.

I come here for ramen sometimes and its decent BUT noodles are always too cooked, stretched or soft. Whatever you describe it. If they make the noodles better, ramen gets one more step closer to the real deal. I dont want to tell them to change anything when Im there but I hope the management sees this review and knows that its true. Thanks. - a Japanese guy

Getting a proper bowl of Ramen can be a little hard in Raleigh, but Torii really hits the mark. The broth isnt too salty, the noodles are perfect, and you can order Sushi from Kanki if you want that to pair. Nice servers, good informal atmosphere, and theyve re-vamped their menu with more items, and theyve tweaked their recipes. Great stuff!

A delicious and healthy alternative to the food court at the mall. Especially on cold, winter days, its nice to go in and get a hot bowl of noodles filled with tasty ingredients. Its also a cozier venue for having a lunchtime conversation than many other locations in the mall.

Overpriced and Nothing Exceptional - just ate there (3/31/16). I had seafood ramen noodle soup. Very stingy on vegetables- soup has oil on surface- not flavorful. Its pricey (almost $15). I could get better and less expensive noodle soup from Tokyo House.

To anyone that misses CoCos curry try their cutlet curry here. Its missing the spice levels but if you find a way to spice it up (request maybe?) do it. Id say its about a level four default spice level .

Great service! Food was good and environment is different and unique. It is expensive for what it is however it is a nice treat if you are looking for a different type of diner.

Where to begin: wonton ramen had no flavor, broth was bland, barely any meat and it was tough and fatty. Noodles were way over cooked. Not authentic ramen.

I went in expecting it to not be great so not surprised. Ramen was bland, the tempura was pretty good. Id suggest getting a noodle dish instead of ramen.

The waitress very rude with nasty attitude, she try push all business to kanki restaurant.. She do not like her job.. But food was great..

possibly the most legit and delicious Japanese food without having to go to some random sketch hole in the wall location. 10/10 5/5

It was not a real Japanese ramen. I didnt feel DASHI in the soup. And, the noodles are too soft. I wont be back there.

The Shrimp Tempura was perfect, green tea was good, and ramen had so much flavor! New favorite place.
