Racist workers. I and my wife went over there yesterday. Around 7:30. We sat outside after informing the receptionist inside. She brought the menu and left. We waited for about 30mins before a waiter comes to let us know shell be serving us. She said shes gonna get water. We waited for another 15mins before she brought the water in the most nasty way possible. It looked like it the glass just came from the sink. So I asked her. "Are you guys busy cuz we are really hungry?" She said no that the food will be fast. As soon as she said that I and my wife simultaneously came to the conclusion that we had to leave. So we told her Never mind that were leaving. Heres the best part. Luckily there was another Japanese restaurant opposite called wassabi. We noticed it when we were about to get inside our car. Their service was impressive and prompt but thats not the point. Shortly, a white couple arrives at Sato and sits in the same table we just left. So we could see whats going on. Just less than 2 mins the girl in reception brings them menu and water. (Mind you we had to go inside to inform the girl in reception we are sitting outside yet she didnt bring us water just menu). Just less than 2 mins after the menu, the same girl that was to serve us came to take there orders. Less than 10 mins she brought their drinks. I and my wife sat and watched in despair. We laughed at their foolishness. You can be racists or disrespectful its not my business but youre not getting my money. I told my wife that Im happy we decided to leave that place. This restaurant deserves no star. Your food and drinks arent special if your customers cant eat it with smile or on their faces. Its better to put it on a sign that people of colored arent allowed. Its ironic its called modern Japanese restaurant Its more like archaic and distasteful Japanese restaurant. Also Ill reveal that these restaurant gives water to homeless people on a dog bowl. The same bowl that passerby dogs drink from. What a devilish and ungodly place.

Ive had two bad experiences here. The first one we got sat in the front where there was no room because the tables were apparently all taken. This was clearly not the case because the people who walked in right after us were seated up there with no problem and they also did not have a reservation. The second time , we made reservations and we got sat at the very back corner. This was a minor issue compared to not being served at all. We waited at our table for over 20 minutes and not one waiter said a word to us or even brought us water. A couple that was seated after us was served with no problem. We just ended up leaving . Now Im not the type to bring up the "race card" but I believe this to be true in these cases. So I advise people of color to stay away as it is uncomfortable, thank you and sorry for this long review, but it is very disappointing.

Two locations in Buffalo, with more to come. This one has great atmosphere. Definitely one of the top restaurants in Buffalo. We split an order of the Kara-Age Chicken ($9.50) as an appetizer - Japanese-style fried free-range chicken thighs, with namasu-pickled daikon and carrot, and QP mayo aioli. Delicious! For our main course, a dinner partner and I had the regular size Spicy Miso Ramen ($12.99 each) - Stock – pork and chicken...Tare Base - spicy miso mixture..Topping - chashu pork, bean sprouts, corn, green onions, and soft boiled egg. Another dinner companion had the Sato Ramen ($12.99) - Stock –pork and chicken...Tare Base – pork infused soy...Topping - chashu pork, bean sprouts, green onions, menma (bamboo shoots), pickled ginger, and soft boiled egg. We all loved our dishes.

Rooms looked great. Beds felt great. Connected to the club so weekends are a fun stay. Only issue was price. Booked the hotel at the cheapest and was charged a fee for the hotel online. I got a confirmation that nothing else would need to be paid so i went to the hotel and was surprised to find out that i had to pay $100 more in fees and had to put $50 down for the room and that we would be refunded if the room is in order. In total for 2 rooms and staying 2 nights we paid around $400 but we got $50 refunded. Other than the prices the stay was great. Lots of awesome inside and outside of the gold spike.

Im not a ramen connoisseur by any means but my wife and I thought their food was excellent. They also have a wonderful cocktail menu. The service when we went was particularly exceptional. I also want to thank previous reviewers (not sure if here or Open Table) about the spice bomb additions. Not at all necessary unless you want to pay extra for overpowering flavors which, in my opinion, weaken the dish.

味噌ラーメンが、合格レベル。若干味が薄いので、豚骨、鶏ガラの味をもう少し濃くする工夫、もしくは味噌の代わりに豚骨系の脂と紅生姜を追加してみるとか、進化が期待出来ます。

Do you like ramen? No I dont mean stuff like top ramen. I mean honest to goodness, real, authentic ramen. Because this is where you get it. This restaurant is awesome, there ramen makes me feel like Im back in Tokyo, and all of their other food is fantastic as well.

For Japanese food this is defiantly my go too place. Not only did they win best soup by spree but their sushi is amazing! I tried the Ramen as well and it defiantly lived up to its name. I dont see how I could give this a 4 star review if anything it deserves 6!

What a local gem in Buffalo! This is my 2nd trip to Sato and my daughter said that she never had a ramen bowl before so I knew the place to take her. A very friendly atmosphere with plenty of fresh made option on the menu to choose from.

Great atmosphere and delicious ramen. I had the seafood butter, small dish. Great for a late night snack and really tasty! Also the Community Beer Works IPA is a very mild IPA with a Japanese influence. Crisp and light.

Delicious food and very friendly staff. Come here often and the weekend specials are especially great, sometimes creative and sometimes traditional, always great though. Love the Sato Ramen and curry on a cold day.

I go here for their spicy miso ramen. In the several times Ive been here, so far so good! Sit at the bar in the front by the window facing the street. Good place for people watching too. :)
