I really enjoyed it. Shared the brussels sprouts (my favorite), the steak (the reason we picked it was because of the "bone marrow flan" served with it), the swiss chard dumplings (amazingly delicious!); and the potted rabbit (somewhat gelatinous and served cold...not what we expected, and although we didnt complain, they noticed that we barely touched it and took it off our bill- what a nice gesture! Completely unnecessary, but very appreciated.) For dessert we had the ginger cake with pear/ginger sorbet and candied ginger. It was REALLY good. The sorbet was unusual- like a sorbet version of the best ginger beer youve ever tried. We each had a refreshing cocktail with rye and pineapple and pear shrub. I had asked if it was going to be sweet and the server said "if it is, well just adjust it for you!" It ended up not being too sweet at all. Just right. Littler may be little if we are talking square footage, but it is big on taste and gigantic on service.

An absolute gem! This cozy restaurant serves an assortment of creative cuisine mixing local ingredients with pure delight, in an intimate, romantic atmosphere. Service is friendly, helpful, and attentive! As a former culinary professional, I have the highest respect for the execution of the dishes -- each was perfectly executed and plated. The brussels sprouts roasted in apple balsamic with chili slivers was especially a standout, as was the airy gnocchi paired with black trumpet and swiss chard. This will be a regular stop for us, after the experience we had.

Quaint little restaurant with some of the most interesting food. I had beef heart tartar, which was served with cheese and some of the best toast Ive had in a while (weird that the toast stuck out to me) and some delicious steak. It was awesome food all around, and the service was excellent. Great place for a date night for sure, even if it is a little on the pricy side for Durham.

We arrived to find there had been a mixup and our reserved table was not available. Jay and other staff apologized profusely and Jay generously treated us at the bar until our table became available. Every bite we ate was absolutely fabulous and the way the mixup was handled on top of that makes this our current favorite place in Durham!!

This is a "cant go wrong" spot, everything is good. Tasty menu in a simple intimate space. The four of us got 1 starter, 5 small plates, and 2 suppers. Perfect amount of food. Our favorites were the beef heart tartar, short rib pastrami, and hanger steak were our favorites.

Excellent experience. The food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was just perfect. I couldnt even the slightest fault. Wine list and cocktails were fantastic. Service was impeccable. Littler will be in our regular rotation.

One of my fave Durham restaurants! The potted rabbit with homemade "Ritz" crackers and the latkes with smoked trout are both fantastic! I have been here 3 times and will continue to return.

Best. Restaurant. In. Durham. Had the Oysters, Sweetbreads, Stilton, Octopus, Shrimp, Kobe and Handpie. Barkeep was an artists. Amazing. Hungry for more.

The only good part about the beef heart tartare was surprisingly the bread that came along. The beef heart with all its glory was tasteless and mediocre.
