I have eaten here quite a few times. You really have to pick and choose with the menu. Their main thing is the Hibachi, which I used to get all the time because the previous cook would clean the grill for me before making soy sauce-free hibachi. A year or so ago, that stopped and I was getting sick (gluten intolerant). So, I switched to the Pad Thai, which is decent. You get a lot for the money. I usually get an iceberg salad with it, so there is enough food for two meals. The curry is also fairly good, but spicy. I got super excited when they started offering Vietnamese food. Unfortunately the vermicelli (bun) only comes in beef varieties, which is marinated in soy sauce. :( I havent tried the pho, as I assume that is also the case. Also watch out for the spring rolls. My friend ordered them once thinking they would be similar to the veggie type you get at a chinese restaurant, but they are the "pinky in a blanket" style, that is basically shrimp wrapped in wanton. Honestly, I only go as often as I do, because it is close to work, affordable, and there is little else in the area.

Great place to eat at a good price. I have eaten there probably at least once a week for the past couple of months. Have always gotten fantastic service. Last time I was there they accidentally charged me for a sweet tea when all I wanted was a water. My girlfriend and I never noticed but the server did and very apologetically brought us a refund. The only reason I dont give them 5 stars is because I have tried nearly everything on their menu and nothing has stood out to me. Nothing has made me specifically want to go back for it. On the other hand I havent come across anything I wouldnt eat again. It has all been good. Aside from once I remember getting rice that I thought was a little over cooked but that is just gonna happen every once and a while when you cook as much as they do to keep up with demand. There might not be any dish there that I would call my favorite but my girlfriends go to every time we go there is their tamago rolls. They are good.

The food here is excellent, but the staff is the reason for the five stars. Our waiter took our orders (big group of 7 people and 3 kids) at the table and brought all the drinks and food out quickly. In the mean time, he pleasantly insisted on cleaning a spilled drink and was very intuitive with his service. It was only as we were leaving that we realized you are supposed to order at the front counter and get your own food...as it turns out our "waiter" was the bus boy! The level of customer service and attention at this place was to the point where an employee, without being asked, filled the role of a position that didnt exist just to make us comfortable. I am amazed, this kind of service doesnt exist many places anymore.

Koumi had a simple process and a friendly staff, with plenty of people on hand to take care of lunch hour. I liked my pineapple fried rice, and my wife found her hibachi scallops to be a little "meh." On the other hand, I dont think most places go too tremendously fancy on the hibachi... I would happily give a 5th star once weve tried more of the food styles (they have a small sushi bar, and a variety of curry dishes) if the quality holds up. The food value is certainly good for their prices. Of special note, the cashier shared that they takes a lot of the alternative payment methods becoming more popular nowadays.

DONT USE YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE! Very nice service - but twice now, after dining here I have had fraudulent charges on my credit cards. Not cool. The first time was not sure, but the second time, I used a card that I had not used in a while and only used for that one purchase - NOW I am certain that it is the restaurant - and it was different servers too. So not cool.

I used to love eating at Koumi, but after today, I will not be returning. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll. In the roll, I bit into several hard pieces of bone. I have never had this happen in a sushi roll before. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, he refused to refund my money for the rolls. I will not be returning. Be careful of what you order.

I ordered habachi chicken it was fair. I was surprised that the chicken was cut in huge thick chunks I was expecting more zucchini slices instead it was small pieces thrown in lots of carrots very uneven blend of vegetables..will go again will try something different..i had habachi at another place Im comparing to how they slice their food which was so diffrent

Food is fresh and great, but the lack of wait staff and automatic 15% and 20% tip added to bill is wrong, I always leave a tip when it is deserved and earned. In all fairness they were possibly busier than usual. I may order carry out but I will not be dining in when I am charged a tip before services are rendered.

As an Asian. I honestly dont like the taste of the foods I ordered. Pad Thai is too sweet for Thai spiciness. Pad Thai I use to eat suppose to be dry and spicy. Also they used smaller noodle that isnt like the picture they shown. I dont know how they get such a good review from customers but sorry, not me.

You really cant beat the price for sushi here. The buy-one-get-one-free pricing really makes it easy to get a ton of rolls for the table and still have plenty of cash in your wallet. The quality of sushi obviously isnt as high as some other choices in town, but my whole party left very satisfied.

Very good food cooked to perfection. Also made note that the restaurant was clean and the employees washed thier hands before handling food. Amongst all, this restaurant had a drive through which is very convenient for those on the go. Certainly would recommend eating here.

Not pleased with how they have jacked up the price on the kids meal (which is a more appropriate portion size) and now it doesnt even include a drink. If youre going to charge for a kids meal what you used to charge for a full adult entree, at least include a drink. Greedy.

They need more staff. Several times the order has taken over 30 minutes and I have to get it to go because I have no more time to stay there to eat it. I dont know why this is such a problem Other than that the food is fine, its the lack of people

Terrible service and food is only ok if they ever even get the order right. Manager is a complete jerk more worried about looking at his phone then correctly adressing situations with customers who have been inconvenienced by his place of business.

I love Koumi. The service is great. The menu has a nice variety and the food is always fresh and tasty. The owner always makes time to chat and work his way around the restaurant when he is on site. Support your local owned businesses!
